...The Nokia N810 is an ultra portable, highly attractive executive toy. I think that sums it up quite well because I'm not entirely sure which niche market it has its sights on. Maybe I'm old school (or skool), but when I think of Nokia I think of great phones, easy texting and possibly even a half-decent camera. So this device confuses me because I keep asking myself... what's it for exactly? The problem is that it doesn't have a cell phone built-in. It also takes longer than an Asus EEE to start up. Ok so it has a touch-screen display and a nice bracket to make it sit on your desk at a comfortable viewing angle, but do they really expect you to buy this AS WELL AS a bluetooth enabled phone? At around £280 it hardly seems worth it unless you're in the media industry. Yes it comes with a couple of demonstration music video clips...

Nokia N97 - 'The new iPhone'

Advantages: 32gb Internal Memory, Nice Looking, Full QWERTY Keyboard, 5 MP Camera
Disadvantages: A Little Bulky, Price, Small Processer Makes The Phone Slow

...phone, very useful. There is also an application called Qik that allows you to use the camera on your phone as a webcam. Other features worth mentioning are: - Maps/GPS - Calendar - Bluetooth - Email - TV/video - Contacts - Clock/alarm - Calculator/currency converter - Voice recorder Conclusion I am overall happy with the Nokia N97, I just wish it was faster and the screen was more responsive, I think these are the only two things that make the iPhone more appealing to me. Saying that I would probably still choose the N97 anyway because of its 32gb memory and 5 megapixel camera. I have dropped the phone quite a few times now and it still isn't showing much wear and tear. The screen is extremely hard to scratch, I have even convinced myself to remove the plastic cover with no insurance on my plan! I would give the phone an 8/10...

Nokias most recent attack on i-phone succes or failure

...as a owner and user of the nokia n97 i can say i am overall very happy with the improvements that nokia have made on previous models i.e N96 and N95. Lets face it all of us who went from owning an N95 to what nokia seem to believe was a better model (N96) were extremely dissapointed as although looking good on paper the N96 failed to meet the standards of its pre- deccesor but i am glad to say nokia have redeemed themselves on the launch of the N97. There have been many improvements made on previous models i.e the processor is alot faster and the slow transitions between menus has been completely iradicated due to the massive 32Gb memory which can still be increased to a huge 48GB by the handy memory slot tucked away under the rear cover of the phone. Another improvement on previous models is the slider mechanism after a few minor issues...

The iphone's competition, Nokia 5800!!

Advantages: Full bluetooth, great sound, wifi, 8 gig storage (expandable) Touch Screen and great screen size.
Disadvantages: Touch screen responsiveness is a bit tedious.

...I got my nokia 5800 last week, i was excited when it arrived and couldnt wait to start using it. It came neatly packed in the box, with all the user and instruction manuals and all the accesories. Once i worked out where the sim card went (it isnt where it used to be in my old phone!) and turned it on, i loved it straight away. Its my first touch screen phone and i was a bit worried i wouldnt be able to use it and get to grips with it. But after i read the manual and knew where everything was, i found i had no problems. The Nolia 5800 XpressMusic phone is the worst Nokia I have had.

Advantages: Good quality camera and video camera
Disadvantages: Too bulky and not very user friendly

...nearly dead. However, the camera and video camera are of a very good quality and easily downloadable. The music, after it has been added to the phone is also of a very good quality and when you play it it is very loud. The memory is good. I have an in car hands free kit and with my previous Nokia it worked really well. Sometimes, I have to go into the settings and switch on and off the bluetooth to get this phone connected. I wish I had chosen another Nokia as I have been really disappointed with this phone....
