Nokia 8800 - all about looks?
Review of Nokia 8800 by
zomuru
Advantages: Fantastic feel and looks, crystal clear screen, unique, lots of accessories included
Disadvantages: Battery life is poor, only a 0.5 megapixel camera
...After much chasing I have finally received a Nokia 8800. This is designed as the flagship model of Nokias new releases and it certainly looks the part. Even the box is smartly designed and gives you an idea of the effort that has gone into producing this phone. Nokia has aimed to produce a phone that stands out from the crowd, and at first glance it certainly does.
The screen and stainless steel casing gleam and give the phone a feel of real quality. I have never seen a better screen on a mobile. Contained within the box are an excellent range of accessories - a protective suede pouch, a wired handsfree kit, a mains charger, a spare battery and a very nifty desktop charger. (For my previous Nokia 8910i I paid over £50 to assemble a similar range of accesories so I consider these inclusions as very good value!).
The phones software...

Mmmm....phone pouch
Review of Phone Wear - Homer Simpson Mobile Phone Pouch by
neo1138
Advantages: Looks nice, and it does indeed provide a pouch for your mobile phone
Disadvantages: A wee bit pricey.
...Coming at you from those fine folk at phone pouch is this lovely mobile phone holder, especially handy with phones with flippy bits (e.g. the Trium Geo) or springy bits (Nokia 7110), whose leather cases are often either annoying or don't exist.
The cover is made from what I can only describe as a nice stretchy fabric (not unlike Homer's trousers no doubt) so it fits most phones, and has a detachable, spring loaded belt clip. The case is a fetching light grey with dark grey trim and the velcro flap has a nice plastic oval type-thing with a full colour - that's full colour, mind - picture of the man himself saying "D'OH!" as ever. The whole thing is capped off with some fine stitching to prevent fall apart (PARAPHRASED SIMPSONS JOKE ALERT! - oops, too late!). Seriously though, it adds a little extra durability to your wireless buddy. I...

Charge Anywhere
Review of Nokia Instant Power by
KPDAVIES
Advantages: Can charge on the movw
Disadvantages: Not many charges for your money.
...The instant power charger allows you to charge your mobile phone without access to a mobile phone charger.
Manufactured by electric fuel (a mili the starter kit costs around 10 pounds and Includes a charger cable, a powerpack and a resealable pouch.
The charger works using zinc-air technology. Zinc-air draws in oxygen and converts it to electricity.
Each powerpack lasts about 6 charges on my Nokia 5310 (the box states it only lasts for up to 3 charges. Replacement power packs cost 4 pounds.
After charging the batteries must be sealed in thier foil pouches.
A nokia 5310 takes about 2 hours to charge to full power.
In summary Instant Power is good for emergencies but due to the length of time a power pack lasts these arent recommended as replacement chargers.
Instant Power chargers are also available for Eriksons...

Cats like Magic love Whiskas!
Review of Whiskas Kitten Pouches in Jelly by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Magic loves it, doesn't smell too bad, easy to use, good value
Disadvantages: None
...it would be easier and cleaner to have pouches, so we bought one box in case he didn't like it but luckily he loves it.
Whiskas have been been making cat food since 1936, when they traded under the name of Kal Kan, but changed to Whiskas in 1988, and are one of the most trusted cat food producers in the UK, and the world. Whiskas produces many types of cat food, from pouches and can, to dried food and snack and treats too. Whiskas do 3 types of kitten food: Kitten Pouches in Jelly, Kitten pouches in Gravy and Kitten dry. This kitten food is aimed at Kitten under one year old, and contain all the essential nutrients needed to grow into a healthy cat.
We opted to go for Kitten pouches in Jelly, as that is what he was fed at home and we wanted to keep him on the same type of food. Being in jelly, it means that the kitten food is nice and moist...

8 out of 10 cats prefer it - apparently.
Review of Whiskas Pouches by
wendybull
Advantages: Looks tasty, less messy than tinned food
Disadvantages: Pricey
...in jelly!!! He's fussier than the kids when it comes to his dinner.
He has been eating these for 7 years now and my review will obviously be about Whiskas Pouches Traditional Meat in Gravy.
The box:
You get 12 pouches in each box for £2.89 in Sainsbury’s. The box is a sturdy cardboard with the familiar purple colouring dominating it. The lid of the box is also cardboard and easily removed by a perforated end. There is a picture of a cute cat looking at you (quite similar to Guinness actually) and the description of which type of food you have chosen. In this case it is Traditional in Gravy. In the box you get 3 pouches each of Beef, Chicken & garden peas, Game and Lamb with carrots. It says on the outside of the box that the recommended quantity of pouches per day per cat would be 4. I can't believe they would suggest this actually. Guinness...

Finally, Nokia has caught on!
Review of Nokia 7200 by
rallenhome
Advantages: IR, size, style
Disadvantages: no MP3, small screen
...So the 7200 is Nokia's first flip phone and it's not half bad. There's a balance of style and functionality befitting of Nokia, as well as the usual ease of use.
The 'style-kit' that comes with the phone is a little OTT, with a wrist strap and pouch that, to be honest, are unlikely to ever get used. However, the headphones are a useful addition to hear the FM radio. However, despite having speakers, it is necessary to plug in the headphones for the radio to work, whether you use them or not. Also, the headphones connect with a unique clip-style plug, so you can't use your favourite headphones.
Aesthetically, the phone is great, with enamelled buttons and possibly the last Nokia interchangeable fascias. Also, the famous 'navi-key' is present, with a redesigned grid-style menu system that resembles Nokia's better competitors, rather than...

Mobile evolution
Review of Nokia 8210 by
winprizes2000
Advantages: size, ease of use
Disadvantages: can't use another Nokia accesories
...This model Nokia is a case of evolution rather than revolution. As with every new model that Nokia introduce the mobile shrinks in size and gains a few features whilst intrinsically remaining true to the Nokia brand.
This is no bad thing as in so many ways Nokia are the clear leaders in the mobile phone market and for good reason. The phones they produce are consistently well built and the easy to navigate menus lend themselves to beginners; once familiar with Nokia menus why switch to another make - perhaps this is why Nokia have such stong brand loyalty.
The voice activation works better than on any mobile phone I have previously tried this feature on and the design is stylish and can be personalized by the changeable front covers.
This is an obvious upgrade for say the 3210 user - the only drawback being the inability to utilize...

Keep your DS safe - its a Joytech
Review of Joytech DS Lite Carry Case by
KiltedWarrior
Advantages: Solid contruction -
Disadvantages: None tha tI can see
...I was given a DS for my birthday from my kids so thought I best give it some protection. having looked around I came aupon the Joytech case . Simplicity itself - as the Ronseal ads say - it does what is say s on the tin.
A nice quality white case - robust enough to take a few knocks or to stop the DS being damaged if you drop it. The case it self had a belt lopp on the back if you want tp having on your waist or attached to a back pack or the like. Inside the case there are two loops to hold the DS in place. There is also a small netting pouch to hold games etc.
The case has a good quality zip to hold it all together
In general a good case and value for money to protect your precious DS...

Mew loves it!
Review of Asda Tiger Singles by
SusanLesley
Advantages: It is cheap, convenient and the cat loves it
Disadvantages: None for me or Mew
...As most of you know we have recently moved into a cottage in the Great Orme Country Park in Llandudno. You may guess from the description that there is plenty of grass, trees, shrubs etc - in fact an ideal place for a cat to live!
We had decided that, once we were settled we would get ourselves a cat, but fate took over and last week a stray cat decided to adopt us! I'm told by my sister that it is very lucky if a cat adopts you so let's hope that's the case!
Anyway we organised a trip to the vet to get him checked over and make sure that all was well as he had been living rough for a while and of course we needed to get food for him.
I have heard friends say that their cats turn their noses up at cheap cat food but I decided that, if we started with the cheap cat food (which I am sure is pretty much the same as the expensive stuff...

What's Leather, Black, has a Pouch and Straps?
Review of Fujifilm SC FX602 Soft case Digital photo camera by
phucco
Advantages: Design, Quality, Usefulness, Material
Disadvantages: Strap comes undone, Costly
...5.6 in (W x H x D)
WEIGHT
About 95g / 3.4 oz
MADE IN JAPAN
and again repeated in French and then German, which I shaln't type up =)
Fit
The reason it asks you to turn off the camera is because when on, the lens is extended and won't physically fit in the case. This case provides a very snug (not too tight nor too loose) fit to the camera. You can tell it was made solely for this camera, and it is unfaultable.
There is a hard bit inside that is moulded to the top of the camera and extends down to "plug the gap" where your fingers go when holding the camera. This provides the case with rigitity and it maintains shape well.
Appearance
Have a look at the photos uploaded.
It's black alright, and it looks like leather. The inside is a soft polyester fur. The back contains the pouch for the batteries/memory cards. There are gaps...
