nokia 5800 express music, a great phone!
Advantages: so many great features and looks great!
Disadvantages: took me a while to work out where the sim card went! but thats probably just down to me, lol
...cool, it shows you where you are and your able to find local services on the maps, like garages and car parks. Really cool! I also like the way you are able to cut together to video clips and add a soundtrack and then you can upload it to the web! The video and pictures are really clear and colour perfect. You can load these to the computer or show them through your tv. The mp3 ringtones are crystal clear in sound, and the headphones you get with the phone are good too. Your also able to plug your phone into the computer and download music to your phone. The menu display is good and its easy to find what you want. It comes with three games, bounce touch, a guitar game and a car racing game, all good but takes a while to get the hang of the touch screen with the games.
You get earphones, a extra stylus, a plecktrum (to use instead...

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Phone
Advantages: internet connection , comes with spare stilus
Disadvantages: slightly delayed speed due to touch screen and tedious nature
...I was due for an upgrade and once again in the position of selecting a new phone.Having browsed online i came across the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and was instantly captivated by its unique appearance .I have to admit i'v always been a fan of Nokia and Samsung and having used this phone , Nokia has definately topped the list .
It has a wide variety of functions ranging from the classics such as texting and calls to touchscreen ,internet connection and a unique handwriting feature which allows you to write directly onto the screen with the help of the stilus (writing wand).Althiugh this idea is fairly innovative and does create the impression of an expensive phone , I personally found it to be slightly tedious and preffererred to text the normal way.
It includes a camera of 3.2pixels allowing photographs of moderate quality, which is...

Nokia 5800 touch screen music phone
Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Can get damaged easily
...The 5800 XpressMusic is a revolution for Nokia with it being the first touch screen phone produced by the manufacturer. With its slim lined shape it is an easy phone to hold and to use. The stylus being made of plastic makes the phone as light as possible and easy to hold and to use with the screen. The back of the phone can be removed without out fuss to get at the battery and the SIM card which is slotted into the side of the phone but only removable by removing the back and the battery. The Nokia 5800 takes a micro SD memory card that can go up to 16GB in size that also slots into the side of the phone that the SIM goes in.
The general use of this phone is simple and to task with many shortcuts through menus including the 4 buttons on the front of the phone one of which opens a shortcut menu for media applications including music...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - Mixed Reactions
Advantages: Very Low price, Good Camera, Nice quality of Music
Disadvantages: It gets very slow if some softwares are installed on it
...OK, so I have owned Nokia 5800 Xpress Music for quite some time now. Bought it in November 2008. This mobile comes with nice looks. Probable lack of many keys (buttons) on the phone is one of the best feature. It makes it look unique. Unlike many other touch screen phones which have different set of buttons on the top apart from the touch screen.
Now lets go over some of the good parts of the phone. I will like to compare it with iPhone because I switched from iPhone to 5800. It has almost all the stuff of iPhone at HALF THE PRICE.
1.The screen resolution of the phone is only second to Nokia Communicator. I was surprised to find it has a better screen resolution (360 x 640) than iPhone 3G (320 x 480).
2.For daylight pictures, The camera can almost act like a digital camera. Has auto Focus. And video recording at 30fps which is better...

The Nolia 5800 XpressMusic phone is the worst Nokia I have had.
Advantages: Good quality camera and video camera
Disadvantages: Too bulky and not very user friendly
...In my opinion this version of the XpressMusic phone is far too bulky and heavy for a mobile phone. Unlike most Nokia's, it is not straight forward to work. You need to use the stylus if you want to send a text as it is difficult to use your fingers unlike other touch screen phones. The stylus come out far too easily (I have already lost two!). I find the Navigation buttons really confusing and it has taken me a long time to work out how to just change the ringtones! My clock is three minutes out and without getting the manual out I can't figure how to change it - this is generally not the case with Nokia mobile phones.
The battery life is dependent on what you use it for.I only really use my phone for talking to people and texting and don't use it for work. I generally find that I need to charge it every other day as the battery is...

nokia 5800 Xpress music, saves carrying an mp3/ipod
Advantages: Easy to use. Good memory (8Gb). Good camara
Disadvantages: A bit bulky in the trouser pocket
...I recently up-graded my old samsung flip phone with this new nokia model, as an upgrade the handset was free with my contract, taking into account I have a minimum cost contract the phone is very good value. I chose this phone becuase of the 8Gb of memory so I could transfer a good quantity of music to the handset, as I live an active lifestyle(mountain biking, snowboarding and motorcycling) it would save me carrying an extra ipod. the handset comes complete with all data transfer cables you would ever need, a hard cover to protect the touch screen and hands free kit with remote control.
I found it easy to use from the start using texts and internet, it has a very useful wi-fi search facility to locate free access to the internet.
So far it has proved to be resiliant enough for my daily life and would highly recommend.
I would...

Nokia 5800 Pushes All The Right Buttons
Advantages: Screen, music player, internet access, easy access to functions, lots more.
Disadvantages: Um... it's so good I keep paying it too much attention
...research and knew the phone was well liked, and frankly my old phone drove me nuts, and couldn't wait for the new one. Finally the package arrived and I ripped it open. Laying before me was now a small black box, filled with colour and of course a big picture of the phone. It was time to open the box.
Inside the box has different compartments for each item, so make sure you find them all! I took each item out of the box and laid it in front of me. This is what is in the box.
* The phone, the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, already containing the 8gb memory card and first stylus
* The battery (although I didn't find this until I realised my new phone wasn't charging!)
* Phone Charger
* A case to hold your phone. This is a very nice case with the phone sliding into the top or bottom. It's very secure and it good to protect your phone from anything it...

The iphone's competition, Nokia 5800!!
Advantages: Full bluetooth, great sound, wifi, 8 gig storage (expandable) Touch Screen and great screen size.
Disadvantages: Touch screen responsiveness is a bit tedious.
...on holiday to that place where no one remember's the name. lol.
The nokia 5800 is NOT compatible with N-Gage games for anyone that was wondering like i was before i got the handset.
The Nokia 5800 has 2 camera's, one being on the front for general video calling.
It supports gsm, edge, gprs, 3G and HSDPA.
Video recording has great output similar to a mid range camcorder and considering it comes with an 8gig SDhc memory card you got plenty of space to play with.
The MP3 player is good but pretty standard for features, The sound output is loud enough to be heard from deep within a handbag or back pocket even. Sound coming from the device with headhones attached is pretty abismal. You can have the volume up full whack and still hear a puppy wimpering over the top of your music. Not good! Apparently this is due to some countries laws...

Nokia 5800 - Forget stats, IS IT GOOD!!
Advantages: Applications, battery life, wifi, plus many many more!
Disadvantages: cheap feel, camera
..., maybe avoid this.
Overall, this is a very good phone, and one which you can get loads of applications for to make life easier and more fun. A word of warning to potential buyers, this nokia does not come with "nokia comes with music" (yet). It DOES work as an mp3 player, but the years free subscription to the itunes style music dats base is not part of the deal.
I hope there was at least one piont of good information in this for readers.
Take care.
PS battery is excellent!!!!...
