Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - Mixed Reactions

Advantages: Very Low price, Good Camera, Nice quality of Music
Disadvantages: It gets very slow if some softwares are installed on it

...OK, so I have owned Nokia 5800 Xpress Music for quite some time now. Bought it in November 2008. This mobile comes with nice looks. Probable lack of many keys (buttons) on the phone is one of the best feature. It makes it look unique. Unlike many other touch screen phones which have different set of buttons on the top apart from the touch screen. Now lets go over some of the good parts of the phone. I will like to compare it with iPhone because I switched from iPhone to 5800. It has almost all the stuff of iPhone at HALF THE PRICE. 1.The screen resolution of the phone is only second to Nokia Communicator. I was surprised to find it has a better screen resolution (360 x 640) than iPhone 3G (320 x 480). 2.For daylight pictures, The camera can almost act like a digital camera. Has auto Focus. ...I was due for an upgrade and once again in the position of selecting a new phone.Having browsed online i came across the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and was instantly captivated by its unique appearance .I have to admit i'v always been a fan of Nokia and Samsung and having used this phone , Nokia has definately topped the list . The Nolia 5800 XpressMusic phone is the worst Nokia I have had.

Advantages: Good quality camera and video camera
Disadvantages: Too bulky and not very user friendly

...In my opinion this version of the XpressMusic phone is far too bulky and heavy for a mobile phone. Unlike most Nokia's, it is not straight forward to work. You need to use the stylus if you want to send a text as it is difficult to use your fingers unlike other touch screen phones. The stylus come out far too easily (I have already lost two!). I find the Navigation buttons really confusing and it has taken me a long time to work out how to just change the ringtones! My clock is three minutes out and without getting the manual out I can't figure how to change it - this is generally not the case with Nokia mobile phones. The battery life is dependent on what you use it for.I only really use my phone for talking to people and texting and don't use it for work. Advantages: Easy to use. Good memory (8Gb). Good camara

Nokia 5800 touch screen music phone

Advantages: Quick and easy to use

...The 5800 XpressMusic is a revolution for Nokia with it being the first touch screen phone produced by the manufacturer. With its slim lined shape it is an easy phone to hold and to use. ...I got my nokia 5800 last week, i was excited when it arrived and couldnt wait to start using it. It came neatly packed in the box, with all the user and instruction manuals and all the accesories. Once i worked out where the sim card went (it isnt where it used to be in my old phone!) and turned it on, i loved it straight away. Its my first touch screen phone and i was a bit worried i wouldnt be able to use it and get to grips with it. But after i read the manual and knew where everything was, i found i had no problems. Nokia 5800 - Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None

Advantages: Great applications, Easy to use, Its Nokia!
Disadvantages: Irritating texting, Touch screen could be more responsive, Camera could be a lot better

...trend is continued here. The 5800 Xpress Music, as the name suggests, is aimed at those wanting both a phone and a mp3 player. I suppose it succeds, but there is nothing special about the music player itself, yes you can get album art, yes you buy songs of the Nokia Store, but at the end of the day its too sameish and does not present anything new or different to the hundreds of other phones on the market. I'll be holding onto my iPod for now. While Nokia intended the Music player to be the main attraction of the 5800, I think the start of the show are the applications. Nokia 5800 Pushes All The Right Buttons

Advantages: Screen, music player, internet access, easy access to functions, lots more.

Advantages: Full bluetooth, great sound, wifi, 8 gig storage (expandable) Touch Screen and great screen size.
