nokia 5800 express music, a great phone!

Advantages: so many great features and looks great!
Disadvantages: took me a while to work out where the sim card went! but thats probably just down to me, lol

...I got my nokia 5800 last week, i was excited when it arrived and couldnt wait to start using it. It came neatly packed in the box, with all the user and instruction manuals and all the accesories. Once i worked out where the sim card went (it isnt where it used to be in my old phone!) and turned it on, i loved it straight away. Its my first touch screen phone and i was a bit worried i wouldnt be able to use it and get to grips with it. But after i read the manual and knew where everything was, i found i had no problems. (Although my boyfriend still hasnt got to grasps with it yet!) I like the way the screen turns round to horizontal when you turn your phone round, and the screen is large and clear. The Nolia 5800 XpressMusic phone is the worst Nokia I have had.

Advantages: Good quality camera and video camera
Disadvantages: Too bulky and not very user friendly

...In my opinion this version of the XpressMusic phone is far too bulky and heavy for a mobile phone. Unlike most Nokia's, it is not straight forward to work. You need to use the stylus if you want to send a text as it is difficult to use your fingers unlike other touch screen phones. The stylus come out far too easily (I have already lost two!). I find the Navigation buttons really confusing and it has taken me a long time to work out how to just change the ringtones! My clock is three minutes out and without getting the manual out I can't figure how to change it - this is generally not the case with Nokia mobile phones. The battery life is dependent on what you use it for.I only really use my phone for talking to people and texting and don't use it for work. Nokia 5800: A Good Buy, but no iPhone beater.

Advantages: Great speakers, 'Trendy' appearance, Friendly user interface and well built.
Disadvantages: Touch screen not as well developed as that on an iPhone/iPod touch, Camera only 3 megapixels.

The phone is primarily marketed towards the more youthfull, musically inclined market. This is evident in the supply of a 'Guitar plectrum' stylus as standard. The symbian operating system is quick and useful, being able to download many different apps that make great use of the touch screen.
