...The beginning: I bought the nokia N95 when it came newly on the market. It was brought through a contract with o2 after I closed my sim only contract where I payed £25 a month (I think). o2 rang me and asked me if I wanted an upgrade and truthfully I was looking to buy a new phone as I originally had a nokia 6600, which as you may well know is nearly the size of a brick (although the nokia n95 isn't really any smaller). Anyway the o2 supervisor asked me which type of contract I wanted which got sorted but I wanted the 'newest phone out' which at that time was the nokia N95. ...I recently purchased the Nokia N95 I have now had it for about two weeks, I haven't had a chance to use all the features, but have used quite a few and had a play around. So thought I would write a review and then update it as I try more and more of the features. The N95 is packed with features and this review could last for days if I explained them all. I'm going to concentrate on the most used and interesting features. Lets start with the look and the screen size: I like Nokias and am a fan and I haven't been disappointed with the look and feel of the N95. My other half has a Nokia N73 and when they are side by side the phones look very similar the difference and in my opinion the benefit of the N95 is the screen size. ...Ive had a Nokia N95 for about 4 months now and there are Advantages and Disadvantage.... Disadvantages: Battery life, Size

...onto the Satellites. Navigating by foot is catered for too! Something that other CPS devices omit. Battery life is appreciably shorter than other phones I have owned but with normal use is acceptable. I would not be without this phone and would recommend it if it is still available. There is a new edition of this phone, N95-8Gb if you can no no longer get the N95....

...I ordered this phone with some hesitation, as I had read several reviews mentioning awful battery life and frequent crashing. The first thing I will say is that I am extremely glad I took the plunge and ordered the N95! Looks wise, it is a bit chunkier than phones I am used to (my last phone was a 6233) but it is by no means too big - I think of its slightly-larger-than-average size as a constant reminder that it is packed full of features! The slider works well, with satisfying clicks when you put the phone into either of the alternate positions. There seems to be some slight give between the two sections of the phone, causing mild irritation when pressing buttons on the screen section (ie menu, directions etc) as the sections click together, but this is a minor issue. The screen itself has a tendancy to get grubby and smeared...

...It took ages to boot up. By the time it was ready for use it had been at least a 3 minutes. At first i thought "it's broken already?" as it seemed to be stuck on the white nokia logo screen. It did eventually spring into life and a nice welcome screen asking me about tutorials and would i like to watch some video of how to operate then handset. I noticed at this point that the light omitted from the screen was visable through the side of the handset, the screen it self is sandwiched between an upper and lower plate of plastic, the gap between them both was where the light was escaping. This to me looked terrible and further added to my disappointment of the N95, cheap and tacky build quality which for the price of handset is really unacceptable. ...I have to say that when the Nokia N95 was first released, i was eargerly awaiting the little red box to arrive. I have always been into gadgets & technology, mobile phones being a big part of this. and the hype; The N95 boast a massive feature list, almost anything you could ever want in a phone - 5 megapixel camera, which i might add is possibly the greatest feature of the phone, 3G video calling & full internet access on the move. MMS.... the list goes on. ...Well I have to say as a fan of Nokia the N95 did not disappoint. The screen is great it is extremely user friendly and has so many features and applications it will keep you busy for ages. However, a couple of things to point out with the N95 is the Satnav facility. This was one of the reasons I bought the phone, you have to download the maps, sometimes the software can be a bit dodgy ( I had to reinstall the maps and format my disk to get it to work) Its a great service, but you do have to pay extra to get the actual voice navigation program. After paying line rental and call costs the last thing I wanted to do was spend more money! The camera is pretty awesome for a phone and was the first mobile phone to have a 5megapixel Carl Zeiss camera. The back of my phone came off, probably after dropping it a few times, and now...
