...as a owner and user of the nokia n97 i can say i am overall very happy with the improvements that nokia have made on previous models i.e N96 and N95. Lets face it all of us who went from owning an N95 to what nokia seem to believe was a better model (N96) were extremely dissapointed as although looking good on paper the N96 failed to meet the standards of its pre- deccesor but i am glad to say nokia have redeemed themselves on the launch of the N97. There have been many improvements made on previous models i.e the processor is alot faster and the slow transitions between menus has been completely iradicated due to the massive 32Gb memory which can still be increased to a huge 48GB by the handy memory slot tucked away under the rear cover of the phone. Another improvement on previous models is the slider mechanism after a few minor issues...

Advantages: Good Looking, Durable, Huge Memory, Very Very Good QWERTY keyboard
Disadvantages: Tiny processor leading to lag and application crashes

...hey guys! this phone is great. no two ways about it. havent personally heard of any problems occurring with software, which happened quite quickly with the original n95 and the n96, so hopefully this is getting better. STORAGE the phone itself comes complete with 32GB of storage, a massive amount for a phone, with the iphone only offering a 16GB max. also ,the N97 has expandable storage of an extra 16GB, so thats a massive 48GB in total! plenty of space for movies (which you can watch) tv shows, music photos etc. DISPLAY 3.5inch screen which has a handy little tilt in it, so you can actually set it flat on a table and still use the keypad, much like a teeny weeny laptop, or you can watch your movies etc like that. 16m colours so very high quality. The iphone's competition, Nokia 5800!!

Advantages: Full bluetooth, great sound, wifi, 8 gig storage (expandable) Touch Screen and great screen size.
Disadvantages: Touch screen responsiveness is a bit tedious.

...on holiday to that place where no one remember's the name. lol. The nokia 5800 is NOT compatible with N-Gage games for anyone that was wondering like i was before i got the handset. The Nokia 5800 has 2 camera's, one being on the front for general video calling. It supports gsm, edge, gprs, 3G and HSDPA. Video recording has great output similar to a mid range camcorder and considering it comes with an 8gig SDhc memory card you got plenty of space to play with. The MP3 player is good but pretty standard for features, The sound output is loud enough to be heard from deep within a handbag or back pocket even. Sound coming from the device with headhones attached is pretty abismal. You can have the volume up full whack and still hear a puppy wimpering over the top of your music. Not good! Apparently this is due to some countries laws...

A huge dissapointment for Nokia's first touchscreen phone

...I got my nokia 5800 last week, i was excited when it arrived and couldnt wait to start using it. It came neatly packed in the box, with all the user and instruction manuals and all the accesories. Once i worked out where the sim card went (it isnt where it used to be in my old phone!) and turned it on, i loved it straight away. Its my first touch screen phone and i was a bit worried i wouldnt be able to use it and get to grips with it. But after i read the manual and knew where everything was, i found i had no problems. (Although my boyfriend still hasnt got to grasps with it yet!) I like the way the screen turns round to horizontal when you turn your phone round, and the screen is large and clear.
