...After searching for a place to stay near to Blackpool, at a reasonable price, I came across this Lodge. At £45.95 per night for the room ( can be higher) I thought great. Premier Lodge has recently joined forces with Travel Inn, and is now known as Premier Travel Inn. They have a saying 'Spend a Night, Not a Fortune'. I booked via the internet, unfortunately the date clicked back tot he day I was working on as i had scrolled down using my mouse roller. I was off to work and hadn't had a chance to check my email confirmation. Thankfully, the girls realised my mistake and rang me the next day and asked which day it was for really - I had put down that I would arrive by late afternoon, and considering that I would have to travel 5 hours to get there it was easy to see it as a mistake - thanks to the girls I was not charged an extra...

Give Castle Lodge the Dodge

Advantages: A historical building
Disadvantages: disappointing and spoilt by the owners

...CASTLE LODGE It was a family day out in Ludlow and whilst I was sitting resting on the bench, waiting for my hubby to return from checking the car and the parking fees, I noticed this really old Tudor style house opposite and on closer inspection discovered that it was open to the public. We didn?t go in straight away, but I did drop a big hint like, ?I want to go in there before we go home? to the family, so that they would not be surprised after the visit to the castle that we went in here. ...Drummohr Lodges are situated on the Firth of Forth, near Musselburgh, Scotland. The park is approx 8 miles from Edinburgh. I came across Drummohr Lodges while browsing through the Hoseasons brochure last year. I was looking for somewhere new to visit for a short break with my partner for his birthday in November, and having stayed in a few Hoseasons holiday parks previously and always finding them to be really nice, I didn't really want to look elsewhere. ...The Sequoia Lodge Hotel in Disneyland Paris is a 3 key rated (out of 4 keys) hotel in the Disneyland Paris hotels list, the actual hotel is located outside Lake Disney and is really close to all the fun around the Disney Village (about a 5 mintue walk). When I arrived at this hotel on the shuttle bus to Disney from the Charles De Gaull Airport my first instinct was that the hotel was clean and tidy and seemed to have a lot of helpful staff walking around it, I also noticed the Disney Shop in the hotel (which is standard to all hotels though is very handy for picking up last minute presents and memorabilia, and also for getting the odd snack e..g. crisps and sweets and juice to bring back to your room, though the shop is quite expensive). Advantages: Fantastic Value and a good quality Hotel

...A few months ago we stayed at Innkeepers Lodge in Leeds whilst visiting some of our friends. We stayed at the Leeds East Hotel and I do have to say we were very impressed and wanted to share our experiences. We had stayed at an Innkeepers lodge hotel in Birmingham before and as we had enjoyed our stay so much we looked specifically to stay in this chain of hotels for this visit. The Hotel was different to the one we had stayed in previously -last time we stayed in a hotel with a pub and a carvery below it. This hotel also has a carvery but no pub, but it was also conveniently located so that we could choose from a number of places nearby to eat out. and also to drink at. ...The Forest Lodge Hotel was built in 1820 and was used as a hunting box by King George IV. The hotel retains much of its Georgian architecture and stands in its own grounds. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Lyndhurst in the heart of The New Forest in Hampshire. It is part of a chain of 4 hotels that come under the banner of New Forest Country House Hotels. This means that each hotel can be centrally booked and have the same cost and promotions. ...As a wife in Northumberland myself, I was keen to read Judith O?Reilly?s book, wife in Northumberland. I had seen the book for sale in Waterstones but thought I would borrow it from my local library. There was a long waiting list (obviously others wanted to read a book with a local connection) After a wait of 3 weeks I was very keen to start reading! The cover of the book with its cartoon family suggests that this is a humorous book. To confirm this there is a quote from Jenny Colgan saying that she howled with laughter at every page. This sounded like my kind of light read. However this book was not what I had been expecting. There is a lot of humour but it is also a very poignant and moving book. Advantages: Great family atmosphere, play areas, good choice of food

...The Pastures Lodge is a family pub/restaurant that my family and I have been visiting on a regular basis for a fair few years. Its situated on Pastures Road, Mexborough which is a few miles outside of Doncaster. We live quite near to the centre of Doncaster and it takes us about 15 minutes by car to get to the Pastures. The Pastures is owned by Paul Shane of Hi-De-Hi fame and occasionally he can be spotted propping up the bar. The main reason we visit the Pastures is for a family meal out at a place where the children can let off some steam. The Pastures has an indoor play area and a smaller outdoor play area.
