Great restaurant in North West London

...The restaurant is an independent Nepalese or Indian restaurant, that specialise in preparing and cooking Nepalese cuisine to customers in Eastcote. Eastcote is located in North West London. The store is located on Eastcote High Street which is a quite posh and upmarket area of North West London. I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions including birthday and ordinary family celebrations at this venue. Located to the right of this shop is painting and decorating shop and to the left is a stationery shop. The thing other than the local and convenient access for myself in Eastcote is that I have really been taken in by the high standards of service throughout the meal ordering and serving process. Advantages: more to do for children, animals, free entrance
Disadvantages: not quite as easy to get to if you don't know the area

...to go to if you are in North London, probably better for children than the Heath because it is a smaller, 'bite-sized' version. It doesn't have any of the wildness of the Heath and the pleasure you get from the views or the strolling through the woods in the Heath, but it is a still a great way to spend an afternoon! If you are coming from the Heath, you walk towards Golders Green and it's next to Anna Pavlova's House. The nearest tube station, though, is Golders Green and it's a walk uphill. It is also opposite the The Old Bull and Bush.. and yes, it is 'that' pub!...

Dessert was for me home made apple pie and cream, while the other half opted for home made cheesecake ? both were consumed without any complaints and very much enjoyed. Stranded in London!

Advantages: Excellent central location; good bars and restaurants
Disadvantages: Rooms a bit old fashioned; a little pricey

..." - the inner courtyard of the hotel with the humming air conditioners at the bottom. I can live (or sleep) with that, but there was also an awful rattling, like pipes, coming from somewhere in the ceiling. We went back downstairs to complain, and were told there were no other rooms. After standing our ground they eventually checked us in to an alternative room on the 4th floor. A little bigger, but still not brilliant - probably "average", from past business stays down in London hotels. The reception staff weren't particularly friendly, as other reviews have mentioned. Despite being "club" rooms, all that appeared to be different was the decor. Instead of old-fashioned wall-to-wall flowerey decor and furnishings, it was plain duck-egg walls, and a "modern" bed (faux-leather headboard and plain brown and green blankets). Not worth the extra money...

LUXURY IN LONDON!

...In the middle of February, I was lucky enough to be whisked away for a long weekend in London with my grandma. I?m a huge fan of west end shows and musicals, and so our trip was booked- we would go and see various different shows. I couldn?t wait to go. One thing I hadn?t thought of before going however was which hotel we were staying in. I reckoned that we wouldn?t be spending too much time in the hotel itself, as we were going to be very busy, so as long as it had two beds, a bathroom and some sort of wardrobe I?d have been happy. ...As a wife in Northumberland myself, I was keen to read Judith O?Reilly?s book, wife in Northumberland. I had seen the book for sale in Waterstones but thought I would borrow it from my local library. There was a long waiting list (obviously others wanted to read a book with a local connection) After a wait of 3 weeks I was very keen to start reading! The cover of the book with its cartoon family suggests that this is a humorous book. To confirm this there is a quote from Jenny Colgan saying that she howled with laughter at every page. This sounded like my kind of light read. However this book was not what I had been expecting. There is a lot of humour but it is also a very poignant and moving book. Advantages: Great prose, funny and warm hearted - like your archetypal northerner
