Big laptop Small money
Advantages: small money for perfect performance
Disadvantages: none
...I have used Dell Inspiron 1545 for a couple of months. I'm glad I made right decision. My friend who works in computer filed suggested me this one after asking me my demand for a laptop.
First , I would like to say , it can totally meet all requirements I expected from a good laptop. I use it to write articles especially for my blog, to send and receive emails, to talk on MSN and Skype with my family and friends abroad. It never let me down. I also used it to watch TV including the programs on BBC Iplayer. Compared to my desk computer, I can feel the speed on my laptop was faster and the stability of the network was better.
Second, it has nice overall design. Slim, Simple and sleek. You have three colors to choose . I chose the black one that matches from outside to inside. The keyboard has all the necessary controls that I used...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - good entry level laptop
Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features,
Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now
...The Dell Inspiron 1545 is an easy to use entry level laptop. Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same extent that you can if you buy it direct from Dell (which takes several weeks).
Because Dell are so good at allowing customisation, you need to be very careful when you buy that you actually get the one you need - they are not all the same, so you can't just go into a shop and say "Give me your Inspiron 1545" - you need to be sure that it e.g. has a suitable processor, enough memory and a big enough hard drive for your needs. At the time...

great little pc
Advantages: easy to clean
Disadvantages: no number keypad
...I know nothing about PC's but wanted a laptop for use around the house and for the kids - I was not really bothered about shopping around and ended up in PC World - I knew I needed one that was fast enough for the kids to play their games on and for me to surf the net
I didn't want to spend over £400 and would prefer to spend a lot less but the cheaper pc's on offer were flimsy and having had experience of laptop keypad buttons coming off on our old laptop I wanted to make sure that my new pc was more solid especially with kids who like to bash the bottons for some reason
anyhow, I looked at one dell laptop and it was lovely, I like to have the seperate number keypad at the side but the downside with that pc was the finish of the case, it was in lovely colours but it had a matt finish that I just knew would annoy me because I...

The dell inspiron laptop is it a good buy!
Advantages: The look of the dell inspiron laptop seems more classy then other notepads. It is simplistic.
Disadvantages: Maybe Dell Have gone too simplistic with this model as the features are nothing to rave about
...The Dell inspiron laptop has an attractive classy look, it has a simplistic stream-line look. When I take it out its case I feel good about it because its not a big bulky embarassing computer thing. However, if your one for keeping everything clean and tidy and no smudges anywhere, then maybe you might be irritated by this laptop. With its glossy look smudges, smears and fingerprints stand out like a sore thumb. You feel like your constantly wiping it. You also have to watch what you wipe the laptop with as it is quite easy to scratch. A better idea for Dell would be to provide a cloth to clean it with, one they know wont damage your laptop. It would be a real bummer to scratch it while cleaning it. I also decided to get the colour black because there wasnt a lot of colours to choose from which I found quite dissapointing as...

The Notebook DVD
Advantages: Moving, beautiful love story
Disadvantages: Makes me cry!!
...Having watched this film on Channel 4 at the weekend (I have the DVD also but just had to watch it) I've decided to review it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Although, I see that a lot of people have already seen it as the UK premier on Channel 4 attracted 1 million viewers!!
The Notebook is a beautiful romance that still makes me cry after numerous viewings. It is poignant, romantic, sad, hopeful and uplifting all rolled into one.
The Notebook was actually developed from a book written by the American author Nicholas Sparks in 1996. It spent over a year as a hardcover best seller.
The film version was released in 2004. It follows the story of Noah and Allie, childhood sweethearts who eventually find each other again after years apart. The story is very cleverly told as a flashback. It begins in a modern day nursing home...

The Notebook a great film for all.
Advantages: Everything about the film.
Disadvantages: none.
...on fire, sometimes literally!
Rather predictably all doesn?t go smooth for the lovebirds. Allie?s mum puts a dampner on their relationship, sending Allie off to school and out of Noah?s reach.
Noah goes off to fight in WWII, while Allie finds a new love by the name of Lon Hammond (James Marsden). Within no time, Allie and Lon are engaged to be married. However, Allie sees a picture in the newspaper of Noah, she finds the urge to go see him once more before she ties the knot.
Enter the classis "love triangle." Allie decides to rekindle her affection for Noah. She is now forced to choose between the two.
The Present
Jim Garner plays an older Noah Calhoun living in a nursing home, where he reads the film's story aloud from "The Notebook" to a fellow patient, (Allie Hamilton) played by Gena Rowlands. She is suffering from...

The Notebook
Advantages: Brilliant acting and mcuh more than the simple plot
Disadvantages: None
...Overview
The Notebook is a beautiful romantic film, which portrays two people's love for one another beautifully. From the very first time NOah sets eyes on Allie, until the beautiful, but sad ending, the film captures it all, including all the turmoil they must face - being together and apart.
Characters
There are two main characters in this film, Noah Calhoun, played by Ryan Gosling and later James Garner, and Allie Hamilton/Calhoun, played by Rachel McAdams and later Geena Rowlands. Throughout the younger years, the actors make the characters real, and allow you to become emotionally involved with their lives. One particularly poignant part of the film is made well at a later part of the characters lives, where James garner and Geena Rowlands portray a difficult scene in the nursing home. James Marsden also appears in...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - very reliable, ideal for a student
Advantages: Great Performance, Attractive cover, brilliant screen quality
Disadvantages: Smudges around keyboard, poor battery life
...I bought this laptop from PC World in August and I am now at university. Since coming to university, I have used the laptop everyday for a wide range of tasks - and yes, I believe it has performed very well each time.
Performance
Both Startup, and shutdown are very speedy, ideal when you are in a hurry - as many students are! Once the logged in, the desktop appears rather quickly even though I have large programs such as Adobe Dreamweaver installed. When I bought Norton 360, I was worried that this would slow my laptop down too much since this is a large program, known for slowing down computers. But when I installed it, it bearly seemed to affect the laptop at all - even though I have it running constantly in the background!
Casing
The casing (or shell) looked very nice and shiny when I first bought it. The problem is that...
