...The Voranova hotel was about half an hour from the airport and cost about 25euros, split between two, so wasn't too bad as the hotel transfer coach you could also book cost as much together and took about 2 hours stopping at every hotel that existed! The hotel was in a good location, a few minutes walking distance from Palma Nova town centre and the beach. It was also about 10-15minutes walk to the centre of Magaluf. We got a bus to Palma City one day and this took about 45 minutes and was very crowded. Just across the road from the hotel was a large supermarket and several shops including a pharmacy, there was also a taxi rank and bus stop. Advantages: Cheap, easy to install and use, lots of software

Love palma nova

Advantages: location
Disadvantages: magaluf

...I've been to palma nova several times and i love it. If you looking for a nice quiet holiday this is the place, theres things to do though as well, plenty of shops, and nice bars, usually with some sort of music every night, if you want abit of nightlife, maguluf is just down the road if you want some clubbing? personally i didn't like maguluf because the people who work at the bars are stood outside mithering you to come in. There is one trip i'd recommened, its a one day trip to 3 different place, the first was a market, which was quite good if you like getting a bargain etc, then the was a ceramics shop, and then a town before the caves of darch, which is nice, you walk down lots of stairs, then you sit in a room, where there is a romantic show on water, and los of lights going off....

My Champagne Super Nova

Advantages: Reliable, cheap and nippy.
Disadvantages: Getting on a bit now.

...Well it wasn't exactly champagne but I couldn't resist the title! My old, dear, departed Nova was certainly a super car though, lasting well past it's 200,000th mile, not bad for a 1.2 litre engine. I am not one for giving a car a name, but I had my Nova so long that I did get almost affectionate towards it, I said ALMOST! I bought 'her' in 1991 for a mere £3,600 when she was a sprightly young 2 year old with just 60,000 on the clock, having been a company car. I only got £100 trade in for my silver dream machine of a Princess (titter ye not!) but it turned out to be a bargain. Now at the time I was concerened that the mere 1.2 litre engine was not going to be able to propel me to the awesome speeds I had been accustomed to in the mighty 1.7 litre Princess of Doom, this is tongue in cheek ok? Wrong! Sure she wansn...

PALMA NOVA PARADISE

Advantages: short flight from uk, fabulous island, heaps to do,gorgeous scenery, spotlessly clean
Disadvantages: can't think of any!

...We went to Palma Nova in September/October 2005 for 15 days and had the most fabulous holiday. This was the first time we'd been to Palma Nova so didn't know what to expect but we were more than happy with our choice of resorts. Our trip started at Glasgow Airport and we arrived in Palma 2 hours and 20 minutes later. We arrived at 7-30pm and after the long walk through the airport to collect our luggage, we got a taxi to our accommodation. This took around 40 minutes and cost us 34 euros (we later, on our return taxi to airport realised that we'd been taken the long route as the return journey took around 30 mins and cost us 22 euros!). Our accommodation was rented privately through a friend who owns an appartment so we were able to save on accommodation costs. We used the bus service a lot. Regular buses go all over the island...

Review of Palma Nova, Majorca

I moved to Nova Scotia on my own at 18 and fell in love!

Advantages: the people and the land make the place what it is, its a stunny place to be.
Disadvantages: Very widespread, and little Sunday shopping

...What do you think of when you consider Nova Scotia? This is what i knew before i moved there.........it was far away from home! The thing about Canada is general is that it is a bit of a sleeping giant. the country is huge, and i think most Canadians don't know how big it really is, but on the East coast you will find Canada's Ocean Playground, Nova Scotia. The capital of NS is Halifax, the city i lived in for 5 years. Halifax is the main hub of the province, it has the main international airport, the atlantic ocean sweeping into the amazing harbour, and a downtown area that is vibrant, funky and caters to all ages. The province itself though simply follows suit. It has so much going for it, and it is all done in the Nova Scotian way. Relaxed, manored and with a good sense of honour. You won't go there for a long day of shopping...

Palma Nova

Advantages: Lovely beach and prom and ideal for children
Disadvantages: Not many shops

...I have recently come back from a week in the resort of Palma Nova on the south of the island. Palma Nova has recently had a fantastic new promenade built, it's really attractive and in local stone. They have been careful to keep the existing palm trees in place and there are plenty of cafes and seats along the way. It runs from one end of Palma Nova to the beginning of Magaluf right along the bay. The resort is a good place for anyone elderly or if you have young children as it's quite flat and easy to walk round. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants and the whole place is clean and fairly fresh. I was disappointed that there weren't more shops as most of them sold the same sort of goods and were full of slightly downmarket souvenirs, but there was an excellent shop which sold lace in all forms (tablecloths etc...
