Having played around with it for a few hours, I can now see what all the fuss is about as this item is so addictive. The touch comes in 3 guises, namely 8Gb, 16Gb and 32Gb versions. These are all identical apart from, obviously the storage capacity. --In the box-- I must admit that then the box came, I thought half the order had been missed as it is minute! THE 8GB MUSIC PLAYER.

Advantages: LARGE MEMORY, SOUND OUTPUT AND LONG BATTERY LIFE.
Disadvantages: : FRAGILE IN LOOKS.

...One things for sure Ipods are getting more popular by the day as more features and different designs are being introduced to these almost everyday necessities. I purchased the 8gb version 3 months or so back and ive been really please with it. It stands out from the rest as it has a large screen for viewing videos and photo's, but not only that it has the built in touch sensitive display which is very easy to use and im sure very popular. It has also introduced the new wii-fi so that you can connect to a wireless connection whether it be from the comfort of your home or in a coffee shop etc. when you go to i-tunes ur music and files can be transferred to your ipod within seconds though videos take a bit longer. All in all id say this product is worth investing in if you have a spare £180....

Disadvantages: Can be a bit flimsy

...are layed out is very easy to use and the way you transfer things onto it is very straightforward. Other things i would like to see on mine which you dont get are a FM tuner. Id like to be able to listen to the radio now and again and i find it irritating that i cant do it on my touch. The main problems i have found is that the back can be easily scratched and that it also sometimes freezes for a while when moving between music, pictures and videos. As i work at a high street electrical store i can tell you that we have had quite a few back with screen problems.. if you drop one of these then the screen is not that strong. The only other thing which i dislike from experience of using the product is the fact you dont get a mains charger with it. This can be annoying when out and about without access to a computer! Ipod Touch 8gb must buy

Advantages: looks great, great battery life, huge memory for your favorite tracks

...Ive had the ipod touch 8gb since christmas and i got it for £200 and i think that it was worth every penny but now the price has dropped slightly to £179.99 which makes this product even better ive had 3 ipods before (nano 1st,2nd and shuffle) and this is the best by far!!! it has a great 3.5" touch screen and the 8gb internal memory is more than enough to store your favorite music and a few music videos or a couple of movies but if you want a mp3 player to watch movies the ipod touch is the product for you but i would go for the 16gb model as 8gb realy isnt big enough for movies and your favorite music. i would highly reccomend this product to anyone who is lookin for a new mp3/mp4 player . i think this ipod is so good that what ever mp3 you own im sure you would realy enjoy the ipod touches features and great look. and the battery life...

...I have owned my ipod touch, 8 GB, since August of last year which i received as a birthday gift and as i already owned an ipod nano at first i didn't see the point of having another ipod, and although i was very grateful for the gift i did at first consider it a waste of money.
