I recommend this!!
Review of Sony Handycam DCR PC100D by
mwhiteheaduk
Advantages: Compact DV camcorder, very high quality lens, long-lasting battery, battery life reported in real time. S-video in/out, FireWire port for optional DV editing software. LaserLink comunication.
Disadvantages: Uses full resolution of the 1Mpix CCD for still pictures only. Not very good in underlit conditions. Need to buy MemoryStick reader and more memory because 4MB is not enough if you are going to use it for still shots.
...I have had this Sony DCR PC100 camcorder for more than a year and still I think it is one of the best DV camcorders on the market. All in all, it is a great camcorder with lots of features. The quality of the video is among the best I've seen in the one CCD class - bright and vivid colors. The body feels very solid. Quite and sturdy mechanism compared to JVC, for example. The menus are very intuitive. Nice color high-resolution viewfinder and LCD. The standard NP-FM50 battery lasts for 2 hours if you are only using the viewfinder and about an hour with the LCD. You can get an extra NP-FM50 but no bigger than that because it will stick out of the body. I especially like the video in/out interfaces of the camera allowing to convert between composite, S-video, and DV formats in any direction. Some reviews say that zoom is too sensitive...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828 by
wirehead
Advantages: Very good photo quality, 8 Megapixel resolution, Amazing low light focusing abilities, Full manual controls
Disadvantages: Can't save favorite settings to mode dial like other cameras, No memory card included, Can't save favorite settings to mode dial like other cameras
...cards, as well as CompactFlash. Yes, you read that correctly -- the F828 has a CompactFlash Type II slot. This is great news for people who are switching from a CF-based camera. The largest Memory Stick Pro card is 1GB, while there's a 4GB CompactFlash card now available (the F828 is FAT32 compatible, thus supporting those huge cards). You can use the Hitachi (formerly IBM) Microdrive without issue, as well.
The DSC-F828 uses the same NP-FM50 battery as the DSC-F717. While it's no longer the "king of batteries" (it's been surpassed by Minolta and Olympus), this 8.5 Wh battery still has plenty of juice. Sony estimates that you can take about 370 photos (around 185 minutes of shooting time) in record mode, or spend a whopping 470 minutes in playback mode. Using the power-hungry Microdrive will reduce the battery life a bit.
The F828 has...

Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV325 by

Advantages: LCD Screen, Fader Effects, Good Looking...
Disadvantages: Price...
...Remote Control, AC-L10A/L10B/L10C AC power adaptor Mains Lead, NP-FM30 Battery Pack, NP-FM50 Battery Pack, A/V Connecting Cable, Shoulder Strap, Lens Cap, USB Cable, Memory Stick, CD-ROM, 21-Pin Adaptor.
As you can see there’s about 10 or 11 accessories there, but its still a lot of money
to pay. I think the price is rather OTT so I’m glad I didn’t pay for it! Hehehe!
** Recording **
This is the main thing you’re going to do with the camera so this will be the biggest part of the opinion. This section will include, info on different ways to record as well as Fade out, dissolve and effects like that. First off all I will start with they ways to record. These are using the Viewfinder and the LCD screen. Personally I like to use the LCD Screen as it shows you in full colour what the film will look like, whereas the viewfinder only shows...

Sony DSC F828 review by Neil
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828 by
like_it_is
Advantages: Excellent resolution
Disadvantages: noise at higher ISO some purple fringing
...Announced in August 2003. The Sony DSC 828 caught my eye straight away, 8 mega pixels, Zeiss lens, professional looks and a bargain price. The camera was subject to significant delays and eventually shipped in the first week of 2004. After some major research I sold my D60 and took delivery of a shiny new 828. Shrewd move or major mistake? Read on.
In the box
The first thing that struck me was how light the box and at one stage I did think Sony had sent me an empty one!. Once inside the bundle is reasonable you get:
Cyber-shot DSC-F828 camera
NP-FM50 battery and charger/mains adapter
Software including Pixela ImageMixer software, USB drivers, and Sony Image Data Converter for the raw files (more on that later)
Strap
Lens hood
USB and A/V cable.
Manual
Initial Thoughts – Look and feel
The first thing that strikes you...

CAPTURES the moment...brilliantly
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV30E by
Connoisseur_Haggler
Advantages: excellent images, high precision Carl Zeiss Lens, 1.55 million pixels single CCD, large colour LCD screen (3.5 "), real buttons with solid feel
Disadvantages: standard battery life could be longer, only 4MB memory as standard (though this can be expanded)
...in this TRV-30 it is bottom loading, how strange!
Getting ready
Before using the camcorder, the infolithium battery supplied (NP-FM50) needs to be fully charged by connecting the AC power adapter into the back of the camcorder. It takes about 90 minutes to charge the battery. There is no need to remove the battery from the camcorder, once fully charged a display in outer panel of LCD screen displays ‘full charge’, so you can be sure its fully charged before shooting. The supplied battery allows about 75 minutes recording time using the viewfinder and about 60 minutes using the LCD screen. If you are continuously shooting it is possible to get over 2 hours of recording from the battery. You can extend the battery life by up to 8 hours by purchasing an additional battery (NP-FM91) I have not purchased this additional battery so can’t comment...
