Reviews of nv gs
Embarrassingly Unfashionable
Review of Panasonic NV GS320 by
smooth_criminal_
Advantages: Very affordable, reasonably high quality
Disadvantages: Not very attractive, poor battery-life
...What is the mark of a great digital video-camera? Since discovering the Panasonic NV GS320 last week, I have been slaving over this question, pondering and musing, desperately trying to seek a definitive answer. Is it astounding quality, or diversity of features; is it value for money, or incredible good looks? I have all of these things. But the Panasonic NV GS320 does not. On paper, it is a fantastic video-camera; indeed, I thoroughly enjoyed using it. It offers a variety of useful features, boasts remarkably high quality for the extremely reasonable price tag, and even my beautiful fiancée managed to understand how to use it.
But it is an ugly beast – a tragic and unrivalled fashion disaster. It is wide and chunky, poorly proportioned, and incredibly embarrassing to hold. As someone who takes enormous pride in my gadgets, I knew I...

Shoot from distance
Review of Panasonic NV GS60 by
headshed
Advantages: colour reproduction, zoom, battery life, controls, price
Disadvantages: -
...Don't compromise on quality when it comes to selecting which digital video camera to take home from the electrical store. The Panasonic NV GS60 has several quirky top of the range features and functions that make it stand head and shoulders above other leading brands available and with a price ticket that can only be considered reasonable at £179 it gives you everything without breaking the bank.
With a lens that has the most powerful zoom available today the video camera has lock on and magnify an object in the distance making it perfectly shaped and fantastically detailed on the viewfinder screen and also when played back at a later date. The picture quality is awesome thanks to the x30 zoom option, far superior than most which tend to be x8 zoom.
Using the video camera is something that can be picked up by a process of trial...

Panasonic NV GS75. 3ccd Clarity
Review of Panasonic NV GS75 by
PATAGER
Advantages: Clear, sharp clutter free footage, chunky, easy to use
Disadvantages: No DV in - Mic socket not standard.
...I always have chosen Sony in the past for the family camcorder as they have never let me down. I just sold my Sony HC18 ( I never keep Technology for too long - move on!). I wanted a 3ccd camera to see just how much better they are. Whats all the fuss about? I was pleasently suprised. For the same money as a 1 chip Sony I got a 3 chip and what a difference! On the new large LCD TV it was amazing. The GS75 gave an almost "news at 10" clarity. Colours were vibrant and edge to edge sharp. The Camera is light and chunky at the same time. A good size for my large hands. The joystick menu controls took me 10 minutes to master and the little screen was good to view close to the eye. It has a DV out - direct to the laptop and a MIC, Headphone and AV socket. (careful here - the Mic does not have the standard Jack) SVHS out is there too. Not many...

Mid-Range BLISS
Review of Gainward BLISS 6800GS PCX VGA-DVI Golden Sample Goes Like Hell by
Fowdall
Advantages: Good price Excellent mid-range card Overclocks well
Disadvantages: Bad manual
...Nvidia have really hit the sweet spot with this one! Seeing the gap in the market for a sub-£200 £150-plus card, they released the 6800GS based on the NV42 core at around £160, with 1.8nano second memory, and 256mb of it. This card was fast as it was, but Gainward took it a step surther, doubling the memory size and making the speed of it 1.2ns. This is hard to explain but in summary it mean that the memory can be overcloked further than the BLISS' already overclocked 1300MHz. The package is great, including PowerDVD and a VIVO cable with S-Video, RGB and Composite connectors. All this at a sub £170 price! The only gripe I had was the manual, which was lazy and generic, describing a different version of cards.
All in All though, for a mid-range card, it's the best on the market....

Smart Camcorder
Review of Panasonic NV GS30B by
snaga3000
Advantages: Small camcorder very compact
Disadvantages: no one looks cool while using a camcorder
...This review is for the lovely little Panasonic NV GS30B it's small, stylish and records well.
The design is good it looks the part. It's very compact as well as being black and silver. The "window" you look at the screen on folds out of the side well and doesn't seem flimsy or tacky as some do.
It has an optical zoom of 10 x. It has electronic viewfinder technology, electronic image stabiliser. The minimal focal length is 2.3mm and the maximum focal length is 23mm. The screen form factor is rotating.
Despite the size it is still quite heavy (well i can't compare it to others so it might not be for a video camera) weighing 430g which is nearly half a kilogram which i think is quite heavy for a small camera. The depth is 11cm and the width is about 6.5cm which is nice and small. The optical sensor type is CCD but i'm not really sure...

A LITTLE GEM OF A CAMCORDER...
Review of Panasonic NV GS1B by
pleaseratemyreview
Advantages: Small, great sound and picture, extra features
Disadvantages: mmm... no cables 4 computer/ shaky
...I feel honoured to be the first person to review this wonderful little machine.
I bought this camcorder for £385.00 from www.askdirect.co.uk (which is a brilliant company). The box arrived, and i was bitterly disappointed. It was a tiny box, by no means capable of fitting a camcorder in. They had sent me the wrong thing. Or had they? To my amazement after opening the package there lay a beautiful machine, the panasonic NV-GS1B. As you may have guessed this camcorder is tiny, it fits into the palm of the hand. After owning a camera which you had to rest on your shoulder because it was so large, it made a wonderful change. To film you only need one hand, the buttons are so cleverly set out. Your thumb records, your index finger zooms. No problems there.
Panasonic made this product not only sellable, but also usable. The designing...

Entry level camcorders shouldn't be this good!
Review of Panasonic NV GS17 by
chapuk
Advantages: Huge zoom, compact size
Disadvantages: no memory card
...There was a time when entry level camcorders where big, bulky and usually quite poor quality compared to their more expensive counterparts. This is no longer the case. After the hugely successful GS11, panasonic have launched its replacement, the GS17.
Now this is not the smallest, lightest camcorder by far, however, the quality it produces is easily comparable to camcorders further up the range. The main selling point of this camcorder is its huge optical zoom. At 24x this beats the sony HC19 (20X) which was seen as a big step forward. This size zoom gives so much more flexibility to the type of recording you are able to do and also means you do not have to start using the digital zoom, which will lower the image quality. Now this model does not have a memory card for still shots but you are still able to record an image directly onto...
