Nikon COOLPIX 5900
Advantages: Simple to use, large 2-inch LCD screen, built in help, compact
Disadvantages: Requires 2xAA batteries and very small built in memory
...I got the Nixon Coolpix 5900 last summer, and so glad that I did as it made my summer!
I was going to get the lower model the Nixon 5600, but I did not much fancy having to replace the 2xAA batteries every five minutes, so I spend a little bit more money and went for the 5900 that had the charger included, the other difference, is that there is a strip which goes round the camera seam, where the front and back casing joins, and on the 5600 this is plastic but on the 5900 it is metal, and I thought this would make the camera more sturdy if it were to be dropped.
The Nixon Coolpix 5900 has a lovely large 2-inch LCD which is really good size screen for such a small camera. It includes lots of scene modes for example:
Party/Indoor
Sunsets
Fireworks display, which gives longer exposure to the photo to catch the detail of the fireworks...

MSI Geforce FX5900-VTD128 Graphics card
Advantages: Fast, Well-priced, Stable
Disadvantages: none
...Overview
*****************
Today I will be reviewing the latest addition to my customized PC setup ? MSI?s Geforce FX5900XT-VTD128 graphics card (bit of a mouthful, that one!)
The board is manufactured by a company called MSI (Micro-star International) that many of you will have heard of. For those that haven?t, MSI are a massive computer electronics company, and manufacture all kinds of computer-related kit ? from a vast range of motherboards and graphics cards, to optical drives such as CD and DVD readers/writers.
My DVD writer is made by MSI ? as is my motherboard (K7n420Pro, reviewed here on dooyoo). They make decent products at a decent price, and I am very happy with my purchases.
This particular graphics card is built using NVIDIA?s Geforce FX5900XT chipset - more about that below?
Chipset...

The Answer to Nvidia's bandwidth problem
Advantages: Memory bandwidth problem solved.
Disadvantages: Very expensive
...Nvidia have taken the critics views of the GeForce 2 onboard, and all credit to them for doing so. In case you have not read my review on the Geforce 2, the problem was basically that the memory on the original geforce 2 cards was far to slow. Or to put it another way as Nvidia would prefer, the chip was just to fast for the current memory available at the moment. Ever with DDR (Double data rate) technology the memory bandwidth was simply not there. All that has changed now with the release of the Geforce 2 Ultra.
Being lucky enough to be in the computer business, I have been able to make a system with the Creative Geforce 2 Ultra and its basically awesome without question. All the top games just fly without a stutter in sight. Frame rates you good never imagine in high res are finally being hit. It is obviously still down to...

Nvidia Quadro2 EX & ProE
Advantages: Resolution
Disadvantages: struggle at times in PRO-E when you have a part with lots of faces and edges mainly around the fillets
...Nvidia Quadro 2 MXR/EX
32MB
AGP 4x
I haven't had any major problems with my graphics card.
It does tend to struggle at times in PRO-E when you have a part with lots of faces and edges mainly around the fillets (rounded edges). The model becomes transparent in these areas and looks rubbish. I use print screen quite a lot to get images out for reference purposes or for design reviews and that doesn't look good when I do that.
The resolution is more than enough I can get this card to go down to: 1600 x 1200 and I do use this facility sometimes if it's a big assembly then maybe a higher resolution would be good but I wouldn't use that very much.
I don't know whether this problem is associated with the graphics card but I get terrible colour differences between my screen and printouts.
I also find when I'm moving large...

How can I not own a subwoofer?
Advantages: Reasonably priced, easy to set up, reliable
Disadvantages: Not stylish, a lot of wires, not top quality and volume
...of the blue, a mate told me he?d seen some 5.1 speakers on eBay for around £50, and reckoned that was pretty cheap. Having around that amount lingering in my dad?s PayPal account after some sales on eBay, I thought what the hell, and bought a reconditioned T5900 system then and there.
Needless to say, that was pre-ciao and I had a habit of buying stuff without looking up comparisons and so on. Point was, it had a subwoofer! What a great name! I suppose it was the deciding factor in my purchase of a GeForce graphics card a couple of years back as well, so it has been a bit of a recurring factor.
Generally speaking, with my new-found knowledge, the bit at the front indicates satellite speakers, so 5.1 has 3 at the front, and two at the back, while 7.1 has three at the front, two at the sides and two at the back. The bit at the end...

The ACE of graphics cards.
Advantages: 65nm size, less power consumption, HD supporting technology, very cheap, pure video technology, SLI
Disadvantages: just remake of 8600 gt version, less core clock speed, lower performance than 8600GT.
...BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Usually, in modern days computing market, the manufacturers tend to built in the Graphics Processor Unit (GPU) with the motherboard, which is helpful. But it entirely does not accomplish the maximum output for graphics requirements for a PC system. It is far less powerful and serves the nominal performance than a dedicated graphics card.
In present day market, there are two world-class renowned companies providing the best graphics card to the consumers, one of them is NVIDIA and the other one is ATI. Though in my personal opinion, the hardcore gamers prefer the NVIDIA for its boastful performance, superiority in viewer satisfying ability.
INTRODUCTION OF THE PRODUCT
Geforce 9500GT is specially designed only for desktops, it s the successor of 8600gt model. The geforce nine series is the ninth...

Spend a little extra and go for the 5900xt!
Advantages: Fairly cheap, Good for older games
Disadvantages: Not very good for todays games or even some of yesterdays
...and the ti 600) were not only matching its speed and quality, but bettering it by far, in fact on almost every benchmark the fx 5600 scores below the ti 4200 even on games that started to become direct x9 related.
Now for a background check.
Nvidias FX series was hailed as their biggest mistake of all time, whereas the ti 4200 and 4600 dominated their era the FX series floundered with prublems, bugs, and general poor performance.
The main problem with the xfx 5600 is that its so slow. The clock core speed and the memory clock speed was lower than that of the earlier models. The xfx 5600 is clocked at the following speeds.
CLOCK CORE RATE-235
MEMORY CLOCK-340
If this means nothing to you, then I will compare it to the earlier ti 4200 whos clock core is 250 and memory clock 350-380, basicly the higher the speed the better...

Special Feature Of the 8400GS
Advantages: Can be overclocked, great for 3D design and HD ready hardware.
Disadvantages: Not good Frames per second in stock mode.
...Graphics cards are so many in todays technology oriented world. When looking to but a graphics card most people do not know what is worth looking for.
There are so many different makes and model on the market that it can become confusing to decide which make and model to buy.
I am an online gamer in my spare time. I like to tinker around with the hardware I buy to see if i can get faste speeds than it was made to run.
If you want a card that will give you gaming performance at a reasonable price then the NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS is a good choice.
these cards can be overclocked. My cards stock performance:
GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) runs at 460 MHZ (Mega Hertz)
DDR2 memory speed is 350 MHZ
Shader Clock 1112 MHZ
I have overclocked it without buying extra cooling hardware to more than what is normal and it still runs like a dream...

The most 'Bang for buck' card out there
Advantages: Powerful and cheap!
Disadvantages: None really.
...After trying out both the XFX 5600 and XFX 5700 Ultra cards I was led to believe they were a very mixed bag.
The 5600 underperformed in almost every area, whilst the 5700 Ultra performed well at almost every task handed to it, now though we come to the the 5900 and I'm going to tell you why this card is your best bet if money is in the equasion.
First off theres the ease of install and support, as with all the XFX cards installing is a breeze and you can be up and running within minutes, not to mention the excellent driver and technical support Nvidia offer.
The clock and memory speeds for this card are lower than the 5700 Ultra, but this does mean worse performance surprisingly, its all down to the 5900 having a newer chipset. The clock speeds are as follows
Core clock speed(Mhz) 390-400
Memory clock(Mhz) 700...

The Janus Iago wishes he were
Advantages: cheap, can be modded, reliable, easy to install, quiet,
Disadvantages: old, none, still needs extra power connector, bulky cooling, only great performance once modded
...without sacrificing reliability.
Bundle:
Sadly, the MSI bundle is too stock and plain to be of note. Nothing of note was included. The obligatory drivers, the Lara Croft, Power DVD, the usual cables and S-video adapters and additional 6-pin power cable. Yes, very cool, I always wanted yet another PowerDVD CD. No half-life coupon in this package, but really, could you care less? Not I.
~~Conclusion:~~
Overall, this card as it stands on its own two feet is literally an amazing card. As Nvidia put it, this and their 5900XT/LXes are still on the market as a 'gift' to consumers becuase for them it costs so little now and can pass the savings on to us. whippee!
Whilst I am usually the most cynical, they are genuine in this instance and this MSI card does seem overly nice. the performance at stock is great, and it's reliability and driver support is...
