...you will be getting a proper taxi as there is a guy at the hotel who radios one in for you and you can even check the price before you decide as they all have set prices for journeys?.Cancun is totally not lacking in taxis that?s for sure! All in all we had a great stay at this hotel bar the first night but like I said this was a problem with Thomas Cook and nothing to do with Oasis Viva Beach themselves?.so I warn you if your booking with a travel agent be careful what floors they can give you and make sure you don?t get charged extra for a balcony and view as the hotel themselves don?t charge extra for this ever no matter who you are!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone it caters for young and old alike, the staff are friendly to everyone and kids are very welcome, you will not be disappointed with the range of food...

Review of Oasis Viva Beach, Cancun

Can I go there - Yes I Cancun

Advantages: Nice weather, beautiful scenery, spectacular wildlife
Disadvantages: Concrete jungle in parts of downtown

...*Update* pictures added - see below. Cancun is to Mexico as Benidorm is to Spain. Despite this, we went and had a great time. Here’s the op: The place we stayed was an all-inclusive resort, the Moon Palace, so some of this opinion will relate to the specific resort. See http://www.moon-palace.com/ for more information on the resort. The flight and arrival: Very long – the longest I’ve ever been on. It took 11 hours from London Gatwick to Cancun. We flew with My Travel, although our holiday was booked with JML. Tip for the unwary: be prepared to have your suitcases searched at Cancun airport when you arrive, and again when you leave. They don't have a scanner for baggage, other than a handheld one for carry-on luggage, so they search it all by hand instead. Including your dirty laundry on the way...

  A Desert Oasis

Advantages: Far too many too many to mention.
Disadvantages: Haggling at the Bazaar

...We rarely spend Christmas at home and prefer to get away from the miserable English weather to somewhere hot, but our choices are normally limited. This Christmas just gone we decided to go to Egypt where we knew we would be guaranteed the sun. We stayed at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa from 21st December 08 until 2nd January 09. The hotel is situated just outside Ne'ama Bay at Sharm El Sheikh, just a 15 minute drive from Sharm airport. Situated in the Sinai Peninsular and overlooking the Beautiful Red Sea. I should mention this is classed as a 5* hotel and is all inclusive. Oasis sickening drink.

Advantages: Tastes nice,
Disadvantages: Left me feeling sick after drinking it

...PACKAGING This comes in a medium sized, thick, see through, plastic bottle with a blue lid and blue label with "oasis" written on it in big white letters with bright red coloring highlighting them. There is pictures of stawberries and cherries on the label and it is very nicely designed. It definitely has the type of packaging which would encourage me to buy it. On the back theres a sign to advice against littering and one to show that the box is recyclable . The lid has a sign on the top to indicate that you twist the lid around to open it. (Like we need to know that LOL) It also asks "thristy?" then says "job done", and it says best served chilled which in my opinion it is. Oasis performed their first gig 11 years ago and it was 8 years since their debut album with their first single ?Supersonic? from April 1994. Cancun - Don't waste your money

Advantages: The diving was excellent
Disadvantages: It's a manmade dump with overpriced restaurants and shops

Pity about Wilma, I loved Cancun

Advantages: Beautiful resort, loads to do, plenty of wildlife, worth every penny

...I went to Cancun in the middle of October last year for a two-week break with Thompson. The flight took us from Manchester to Cancun and was approx 9 hours. The Mexicans like their paperwork and therefore it took us around an hour or more to get out of the airport and begin the ten-minute journey to the "hotel zone" where our hotel the Royal Solaris awaited us. The hotel is all-inclusive and contained absolutely everything should you wish to stay in the complex for the entirety of the holiday. The staff were talkative, friendly and very helpful, the food was to die for. Our hotel was situated very close to the airport and just in the middle of the large "spit" of land, which separates the lovely light blue ocean the lagoon. ...I have just recently got home from the Flamingo Oasis hotel in Benidorm, which is an all inclusive hotel which has been an absolute pleasure staying in. I arrived just before ten o clock on Saturday 30th June after a very long one hour bus journey from the airport. I immediately walked into an extremely large and spacious reception area where the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they all speak fantastic English. Because it was so late we were given a temporary room card which we could use to get our free drinks for the night, these were replaced in the morning by cards which had a photo of me on it which was taken there and then using a digital camera connected to a pc. These are used to prove to the security guards and bar staff that you stay in the hotel and they are also rooms cards which is handy as I didn?t need...
