The lads were on top form and performed a wide range of their songs, including an acoustic set by Noel and several orchestra backed pieces. Advantages: Good variety of tracks, back to fundamental oasis - a massive return

...it the greatest rock swindel in history. 3 years later 'Standing on the Shoulder of Giants' was released. Many saw this as an experimental album which contained many slower, chilled out tracks. It remains to be there lowest selling album although it still made number 1 in the UK. The band then went and played 2 nights at Wembely and released a live DVD and CD of the performance. In 2002 Oasis released their 5th album - Heathen Chemisty. It was to be the album that would get them back on course to once again being the best british band. It had a good mixture of tracks and moved away from the experimental sounds of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. It was the mark of the rebirth of Oasis and building upon the huge comercial success that they gained from Heathen Chemistry they took this into Dont Believe the Truth which was released in 2005... Advantages: Everything i need in a garage and more

.... I'm not sure if this is still here today. Today things are slightly different, it is still Malcolm Blake who owns the garage but now it is run under the name of Q Jet Oasis. Being in the middle of nowhere on a long stretch of road it is easy to see why the name Oasis came to mind and it is so apt. You can still buy all your usual petrols, your unleaded, diesels etc. There are towels available in a dispenser near the pumps should you get dirty while filling your car up and various bin round and about to put your rubbish into. There is also a customer toilet which i think you have to ask for the key to use it, but last time i did this was clean and tidy, not like some you find. The forecourt shop is now a different place it has also become the village shop and sells a good selection of confectionery, drinks, crisps, bread, flour... Read review

...I reviewed one of these Jools Holland, 'Later' DVD's previously ('Giants'). In that review I laid out the pro's and con's of the whole 'Later' programme. For me the downside is often Jools Holland feeling unable to resist joining in on piano with just about anything that takes his fancy. On the plus side you usually find that the bands involved try to put on a good performance and the production values (usually good sound and camera work) are also of a high standard. I bought this because I wanted a blast of Britpop and the bands included were the bands at the forefront of that movement (Oasis, Blur, Elastica, Pulp, Suede, Paul Weller, etc etc). Advantages: A superb insight into one of the best debut albums ever

...Every now and again there is one album that really stands out. I’m sure everyone has one in their collection that really takes pride of place. For me there only is one choice, the debut album from Oasis, Definitely Maybe. It was never meant to be a great album, in fact according to Noel no one was ever even suppose to hear it. Instead it became the start of Brit Pop and quite possibly the best debut album of all time, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not the only one who thinks that though as I know of countless other people who love that debut album as much as I do. So when it was announced that Oasis were going to release a DVD about the album I knew I had to have it. It’s now been 10 years since it was released and to date it’s still the best Oasis album of the lot with Wonder wall a close second. The DVD shows a new side... Read review

...songs to be moderately easy to play. However i did see this dvd on e-bay and at only £3 curiosity got the better of me so i bought it. The first thing i will say is that immediately obvious that Noel Gallagher is not anywhere to be seen on this video!! However, Guitar ace Jamie Humphries (who?!?!?) gives you a note-by-note guide to five massive Oasis hits being Live Forever Champagne Supernova Don't Look Back In Anger Wonderwall Roll With It The dvd is watchable and does give away some "secrets" and ifluences which Noel uses in his song writing. It also teaches you every riff, chord and solo piece in each song. All in all a good dvd that will teach some young up and coming Oasis fans the style of Noel Gallagher, however for me personally I just didnt really get it with some strange guy playing Oasis songs. ...This could well be the best album oasis have ever released. Although it is hard to compare this album with the others as it is so unique compared to the others. Oasis have always been known for there 90s brit pop image and 90s indie sound. But this is no longer the sound or vibe you get from this album. There is a definate modern sound throughout this album. The cd and dvd come in a sturdy cardboard holding which contains the lyrics to the songs and a picture of the band. A good storage aid for sure. The DVD contains the video for "LYLA", interviews by colin murray and other extras. Not bad for a free gift. 1. The album kicks off with "TURN UP THE SUN" this song is written by Andy Bell and it is a fairly good offering, it luls you into a sense of thinking that it is another bog standard oasis album modernised a little... ...Definitely Maybe opens with Liam singing; "I live my life in the city, there's no easy way out, the days' moving just too fast for me" Thanks to this fantastic album, Oasis found a way out of the day to day city life and since then the days sure have moved fast. This DVD is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its release but it only seems like yesterday when Oasis first appeared on our TVs and Radios. On its original release it stormed to the top of the British album charts and becoming one of the fastest (if not the fatest at the time) selling Britsh debut album of all time. To me, this is the best Oasis album and one of my all time favourites.
