...I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc. It has strong suction as you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished. It really gets everything up. This does mean however that you need to empty the dust cylinder quite frequently. The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is...

Dyson DC25 Animal - Having A Ball!

Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction!
Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

My old vacuum worked perfectly and I was more than happy with it, but once it started emitting smoke during use, I knew it was time to purchase a replacement. The handling of the Dyson Ball is very smooth and remarkably easy. Once you've released the locking mechanism that keeps it upright, the vacuum becomes very flexible. ...Apologys people but here comes another book review. Dean Koontz is a rather prolific writer it seems that everytime I go to the supermarket unaccompanied while on my tours of the toy and book aisles one of his latests works tries to throw itself in to my basket along with the lego sets and Spongbob DVD's. On my latest trip it was this the third of the books featuring Odd Thomas which made its way in to the basket. Odd Thomas for anyone unfamiliar with him is a young fry cook from Pico Mundo, a desert town which has no real distinguishing features other than the massacre at a shopping mall some time ago, and that it is Odds home town. Odd on the other hand is much stranger, well not personally but he see's ghosts, and believes that they come to him for help to pass over after whatever it is that troubles them is sorted out. ...I will begin this review by telling you why most of the specific criteria are rated average rather than good or excellent as once they may have been rated higher. Perhaps an unusual way of beginning this review, usually it would be explained in the summery, yet I felt that it needed to be explained first as I don?t want you to look at the specific ratings and turn away from the farm because is IS a good farm though it is lacking certain qualities which I have now found in other farm parks in and around the area. Dyson Ball DC25

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

...on the machine to stop it moving around. It comes with a 5 year guarantee which is not bad for household equipment, but the replacement filters are around £18 which i thought a bit expensive. The tools are easy to use and simple push in to the side of the machine. Very easy to clip on and off and of course saves storage space as they fit into the machine itsef. Removing the filters i found the top one easy, but the one in the ball very fiddly and quite hard to get out. On the whole i would recommend this product but only for small houses or flats. If you have a large home then i would suggest the larger and heavier model of this cleaner....

Taggie ball!

Advantages: fun, cute, baby friendly

Now that she is 10 months old and starting to throw her toys around I thought the next item she really needs is a ball and how delighted was I when I noticed that Taggies do a ball now! This ball is designed to look like a football with it's black and white hexagonal pieces of material. Out of each of the black shapes is the taggie ribbon loops. These all vary in colour and texture from plain ones, patterned ones, silky ones and cord ones. Each one is different so as to attract the baby's attention and encourage the sense of touch as they explore each ribbon.
