Off-roading made classy

Advantages: Enormously powerful off-roader, quite comfortable and relatively easy to fix and maintain
Disadvantages: Hungry and noisy, needs ECU upgrade to fully exploit its capabilities

...I had Disco 2 TD5 for a year and a half now and am very pleased with it. It's just as capable off-road as a Defender, but much more comfortable and will get you there in style. Reliability is generally not a problem - unless you count broken front differential, amongst other things, but mine is a proper off-roader, and is used accordingly. Mine is a "facelift" model, reg late 2002, and I recommend it over the earlier ones, mostly because of active cornering system, which makes driving nearly 3 tons worth of machinery a relatively easy task. Can't comment on MPG, because my car is by no means standard - the engine is chipped for power, mud-terrain tyres and suspension lift are not exactly fuel-saving features either. But then, if you want fuel economy, you buy a Prius. Repairs can be expensive like everything Land Rover. But the car...

The arcade off road Experience???

Advantages: OK Graphics, awesome cars - loads of fun!!!
Disadvantages: Not too realistic and occasionally Frustrating

...This game takes off-road racing to a new level with 16 off-road vehicles and more than 27 wide-open tracks. It enables you to play in Single race, Career race, Free-roam mode or Multiplayer mode. This game is great fun, especially in two player mode. The trucks look cool and the soundtrack really suits the game as you're throwing yourself off the top of a cliff at over 100mph! The races can get a bit annoying at times with the other racers constantly trying to mess up your race but this just adds to the challenge. The free roam mode is great fun as you can race around wherever you like with as much time as you want, and this is made even better by the awesome looking scenery.If you were put off this game by the bad reviews I have seen in magazines just remember that magazines are a lot harsher than people who buy the games. Tired of hanging around for a great Zutons CD

Advantages: some great catchy songs
Disadvantages: some not so good ones. Sometimes too much going on in the songs

Great confidence inspiring rubber you can trust

Advantages: Look ok, not to expensive, good feel and turning.
Disadvantages: Might not be great for really fast riders.

I am glad to report that I have not had such poor results from my Michelin Pilot Road tyres fitted to my trusty Yamaha FZS600 Fazer. I had these rubber boots fitted in replacement for the recommended Bridgestones that the bike was fitted with from new. I didn't really like the feel of the earlier tyres with the turn in quite sharp and at lean I didn't feel quite at ease on them.
