HP Officejet 6310 Multifunction Inkjet printer.

Advantages: Good build quality, quick, networkable, quiet, excellent results, fax
Disadvantages: Software can be obtuse

...I needed a new printer to replace my aging LPT Officejet 635, and this was on special offer (£111 inc VAT) at a local Cash & Carry. I needed a network printer, which could produce high quality photographs, and a flat bed scanner. As far as high quality photos are concerned, the 4800x1200 dpi of this printer matches the best. The flat bed scanner, with built in 35 sheet Automatic Documnent Feeder, is great for photocopying books, or scanning in documents, although manual scanning is quicker for single sheets. Optical Character Recognition is a little difficult to find, but Read Iris 9 is supplied with the device. It is selected by the type of output you request from the scanner, which can be confusing. Core 2 Duo E8500

Advantages: Very Fast, good overclocker

At a stock speed of 3.16 Ghz, it is already fast enough to accomedate most user's need, but if people want to push it further, then thats not a problem for this. I bought the processor at the beginning of last year, and what a great purchase it was. After updating my Bios on the motherboard to support the 45nm processor, it was set and ready to go. After a while though I decided to try and overclock it, and was amazed at how well it did it. I managed to get it 4Ghz + stable with just a simple after market cooler. The inkjet that likes to think it's a laser

Advantages: Reasonable printing costs, quick print speed, very good quality in both colour and B/W
Disadvantages: It could be smaller

...The HP Officejet Pro K5400 costs about £80 (it depends where you get it from) and its marketing point is that it is supposed to be the world's fastest desktop printer for business color. I'n not quite sure what the differnce between business colour and other sorts of colour are, but hey, who's worrying! It's a good machine to have if you want a reasonable nod towards a colour laser printer, but don't actually want the expense and desk space of owning one. It does colour printing of a very good quality - good enough for photos It works really well with HP photo paper (I've done a separate review of that if anyone is interested). It prints in 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution in black and white and 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution in colour. In terms of desk space, it's about average - I find all HP printers quite bulky, but it sits nicely...

The Pro's Of Pro Namel

Advantages: Helps to strengthen tooth enamel. Improves general oral health.
Disadvantages: Steep pricetag. Potentially leaky cap.

That toothpaste was called Sensodyne Pro Namel. Firstly, a touch of sciency healthy stuff: - Acid erosion is now a problem affecting more and more people here in Britain. With more fizzy drinks being consumed, the problem is only going to get worse, and even stuff like acidic fruit (oranges, lemons etc) can cause a problem, as can anything with citric acid as a preservative in.
