Advantages: this guide is very helpful with most things like main and sub missions
Disadvantages: for the photo ops quite alot of the maps show the wrong numbers on them and do not pair with there photos

...This is very useful if you are new to the game. When I first started playing the game I did not have this which resulted in most of my families dying out. Once I purchased the guide I found out where I was going wrong, it also offers help and advice as well as many tips as to how the game works. The guide also includes full career listings which includes how much you get paid for each job and what hours you work. As well as this, the guide lists all objects in the game as well as their descriptions and what effects they have on your sims. Sim relationships are also explored in the guide which tells you how you can improve or decrease someone's relationship with another sim by listing all the interactions and what effects the have on sim relations. ...Ok it does a job. If you want to know where everthing is and want a birdseye view of all the locations this will do the job. But if your looking for a real strategy guide to take you step by step through all the problems and conversations you should probably look elsewhere. I make a point of always buying a strategy guide once i complete a game so i can go back and get the most out of the game, exporing every option and basically getting my moneys worth. To be honest i cant say i was impressed. Locations on the maps were not clearly marked and often when they were the oversized markers obscured the points they were directing you to, particularly in complex and crowded locations. ..., for the PocketStation would never make it's way over here. Add to that the numerous tips, suggestions and it's all here in this book. If I were to pick a possible fault it would be that every single page is absolutely crammed with detail, and the font of the text might be small for some. Aside from that, Squaresoft have got it right by switching the producer of their official strategy guide to Piggyback, as I feel that this is how a strategy guide should be. ...The GTA IV Strategy Guide is one of the best ones around because of its all colour pages that really are high quality. The book gives you a real insight into the game and really does give you hints and tips in every single mission and will help you to achieve the coveted 100% that all GTA gamers are trying to get too. The book will help you in finding the little missions that are hidden like finding the pigeons and the side missions which you need to do to get the 100%. The book is laid out well and I have found no errors in the game and have nearly completed the entire story mission with the book and without it. I feel the book is a great way to help you if you are stuck as it will give you step by step instructions in every part of the mission. ...you can't get too lost. The story unflods as you visit each place. The walk through on the official guide is a must if you want to complete the game and capture all the good bits. You need to think carefully when you answer questions because the story can change depending on your answer. It is a good idea to fight lots of the smaller creatures to build up your levels so that you are pregpared for the bigger monsters. When in battle you are not sure what you are going to fight, there is an arena you get placed in with your 2 companions and the monster or monsters. They can be real easy to beat or quite challeging. You need to use your strategy skills to win some of the fights and not all fights can be won quickly or by physically fighting. you may need to use magic. ...I'll start by saying, this game has to be brilliant, because it is one of the 8/900+ games that has been given a 10/10 by the official playstation magazine. And no wonder - its great. Most figthing games have a few modes with a few unlockable characters. Soul Calibur II has lots of modes (including the brilliant weapon master mode explained later on) unlockable characters, weapons, costumes, modes and areanas. Each character has a huge range of moves, so i suggest you also buy the official strategy guide which will be really useful. *This game is quite old now, so you can pick it up for £10 and probably cheaper if its preowned.* Graphics: This is one of the nicest looking game on the PS2.
