...If you're the type who likes to drink in somewhere akin to a dingy, smelly, hallway, then The Offshore Bar is right up your street (or Soi as they say in Thailand). It's another in the cluster of beer bars on Soi 23, just around the corner from the racier Soi Cowboy. The bar is a kind of long thin area with bar stools lining the bar and, because of the lack of space, bench seats with small tables placed behind - leaving a small corridor between to allow passage. This means that, if you're on the bench seats, it's difficult to talk to whoever you're with because you'll be sitting in a row, rather than around a table. I don't know why I wrote "if" you're on the bench seats, because if you go in here - you will be. And you'll be staring right into the backs of the stool-holders. powerboats: sunseeeker offshore 28ft 1981

Advantages: freedom, fun, friends, ocean, freedom.
Disadvantages: money. risk to life of all onboard incase of disaster

...my experience with my 28ft sunseeker offshore performance motor cruiser boat i bought a very old (1981) sunseeker offshore 28ft motor cruiser earlier this year. since then, she has skinted me with engine troubles and mooring fees (actually they are not too bad - £2000 gets you a years parking for your boat!) so the engines are a bit tricky, but the boat itself behave excellently in the sea, even in the rough stuff. the ride is comfortable, and dry. the cockpit is open, and there is a large foredeck for sunbathing etc...to the back is the bathing plarform and swim ladder, plus a small dinghy (2.5m) for getting ashore in. in the cockpit (main deck area) are comfy seats plus a stowable picnic table below deck, a seperate room sleeps 2 people, the main cabin is a lounge than transforms into a double room. there is also a small...

...If you expect all the tracks to be like offshore or Saltwater, which lets face it is the reason most people bought the album, then you would be wrong, though not dissapointed. The strong point of Chicane has always been the diversity and originality of the tracks. Each song has its own unique sound whcih only makes you want more. If you are into dance music then this really is one of the best albums of recent years, Soft melodic Trance with pumping basslines and dreamy lyrics - ideal for winding down after a heavy night out. Feauturing the hit "Offshore" this album is an excellent example of Chicane's ability, originality and diversity. Not as good as the new album Behind The Sun, but definitely an excellent debut...

Living Abroad with Nationwide's Help

Advantages: Internet Banking and Branch Staff who help rather than hinder
Disadvantages: Telephone Access Hours

...We now live abroad and have had experience with a number of UK banks and building societie. We transferred some of our bank accounts offshore and still retained our UK bank accounts for some transactions. Nationwide really outshines the rest in their helpful attitude and their honest advice. The branch staff are always helpful on the phone and they TRY to assist, not like some of the experiences we have had with others who have put up hurdles, made us change accounts and quite honestly asked for so much ID information that it is just unbelievable given that we have banked with some of them for more than 20 years. The Nationwide Credit card is also such good value for us living here charging no transaction fees and offering excellent exchange rates for shopping outside the UK - if you travel or move abroad, this is the Credit Card for you...

Dont Give Up Feat Bryan Adams

Advantages: Good lyrics and vocals, stunning Trance remix

...First of all, it was No. 1 in UK back in march 2000, features a great remix by Disco Citizens Vs. Tomski along with the usual layout of Radio Edit, and the Original Mix of the track. Chicane has changed a fair bit since Offshore, his first single which has been on numerous compilations ever!!! Chicane, Nick Bracegirdle has been a bit delusioned with the current clubbing scene mainly dominated with Trance and I suppose that he is right as there is a lot a of trance but House is favoured by the public as there is vocals. In all great track, but the original mix leaves something to be desired....

...Chicane is a dance act and a very sucessful one at that, after early success with club hits offshore and the saltwater, which also did well in the chart, nick came back with some massive tunes on his ? behind the sun? album, this is a very good album at face value, but when you dig deeper it gets to be outstanding. With the main standout track being the no one chart hit ?don?t give up? which of course was with the lyrical talents of ageing canadian washout Bryan Adams, this also no doubt boosted bryans career as well, the follow up single was a double A with one song the chilled out no ordinary morning and two mixes of the tranced up halycon which means? Did I even spell it right? Any how buy it and like it!...

...Been with AOL for 7 years. Recently been upgraded to Plantinum. The Sales Team for AOL UK are based in Ireland and are very friendly and helpful and can be reached on a free phone number. However, when registered, you can't phone this number and have to phone Member Support on a 0845 number where the call centre is offshore in India. Here the customer service is pretty awful some people are actually quite rude. Generally though the service is ok. There are no download limits and the speed is very good and (too my knowledge and experience) there do not have a "fair usage policy" which is always something to think about when choosing your ISP. AOL is not the cheapest provider but the quality of the service and the fact that there is no "fair usage policy" (which is very rare) make AOL a fair option for an ISP today....

...Saint Michaels Mount is the most famous landmark in Cornwall. It is a small craggy island situated 500 yards offshore and can be visited by causeway at low tide or at high tide there is a boat that will take you across from mounts harbour for a small fee. The mount features a medieval castle built in the fifteenth century to fight off attack from French pirates, a church and beautiful gardens and is still a lovely living and working community today. The mounts claim to fame is that in 1587 a beacon signal on the mount was lit to warn the rest of the country that the Spanish armada was fast approaching. I have been to Cornwall many times and always visit St Michaels Mount; it really is a lovely place. The site it owned by the national trust and you are able to look around the castle and the surrounding gardens at a reasonable price...

A Must-See!

...A striking island set against the beautiful backdrop of Mounts Bay, St Michael's Mount is a quarter of a mile offshore from the small market town of Marazion. Accessible at low tide via the cobbled causeway, when the tide comes in small boats ferry visitors across, priced at around £1.50 per person. The island itself has a small community of around 20 people, some of whom work in the cafes and restaurants on the island. There is a cobbled path leading up to the castle, an entrance fee is payable at the bottom of the path. Is is relatively expensive, but the views from the top of the castle are spellbinding. In my opinion it is worth every penny. To get to St Michael's Mount, you can take the car to Marazion, parking is available at Folly field or by the Marazion marsh area. From the car parks walk up to the Godolphin Arms pub...
