Olay To A Fine Cleanser

Advantages: Soft, smooth and clean skin.
Disadvantages: None that have come to light

...My mother used to use the original Oil of Ulay Beauty Fluid, as the brand was then known, all of her life, and her skin was wonderfully smooth and soft right into old age. I have recently been very dissatisfied with other brands of cleanser/moisturiser, and so I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps. I bought my moisturiser in a duo pack including a 100ml active beauty fluid free. I am extremely impressed by this product. The single product price in Sainsbury's is £2.79 for a 200ml bottle of cleanser, but I bought this duo pack in Chemstop locally for £3.50. The presentation has the usual Oil of Olay pale pink product showing through a semi-opaque white plastic squeezy bottle, with a black screw on lid and black writing with the Oil of Olay logo in black, gold and white. Advantages: Glides on well, smooth and even
Disadvantages: chips easily, can require a few coats

...I have searched for ages for a nail varnish that lasts more than a day, doesn't require three or four coats and dries reasonably quickly. This product fails to achieve many of these, but is still better than most other varnishes. These nail varnishes come in many colours, by and large nice delicate pinks and blues, so if you're looking for hard-core purples or blacks, you won't find them amongst the Olay products. I have a beautiful blue, called Waterfall which looks great on and goes with most things. However, to achieve a reasonable depth, it requires at least two to three coats, but each does dry fairly quickly. I tend to leave each for a minute or two before re-applying and this is enough to be touch dry. The appearance of the nail varnish is really smooth and you can get away without using ridge filler, or even base coat...

Is Baby oil the 'oil' in Oil Of olay

Advantages: can't think of any
Disadvantages: strong thick scent, mineral oil in there, expensive etc.

...I've just got to the end of my bottle of Olay Daily Renewal body wash. Now, I didn't buy it for myself, it was one of the many things that my sister gives me after her skin reacts badly to it. I was half way through the bottle when I started investigating petroleum products/by-products and reluctantly decided to finish the bottle because it is quite expensive. I suppose it goes without saying that I won't be buying it again for the petrolatum (mineral oil/baby oil) reason. On to the product: They have changed the bottle since I was given it, but my bottle is gold black and white. On the front it boasts 40+ uses with the olay puff (any old puff thing you can buy cheaply will do - which is a plastic net that causes foaminess when used with shower products!). Apparently the wash is supposed to give your skin 24hr moisturisation...

Ole Ole Ole!

Advantages: Smooth,soft clean skin
Disadvantages: It doesnt lather

...slowly..I forget about him and start looking for myself. There on the shelf amongst the other Olay products was a Deep Pore Cleanser in a gleaming white tube. The words Deep Pore just fazed me and off it plopped into the trolley, without me actually looking at any of the package information. The packaging and Product.. So I have a basically white tube in font of me. It has the Olay name with the little Gold Olay face woman. Underneath that are the words Daily Cleansers, Deep pore cream Cleanser. Then I am told in two purple flashes that this is suitable for Combination/Oily skin, and that it contains Witch Hazel and Micro Beads. Well I dont have oily or combination skin.But I do suffer from blocked pores and blackheads on my T zone. I actually have dry skin, so lets see if it leaves my skin dry and red. Oil of Olay "USED" to be the best daily facial

Advantages: The former product kept my skin soft and smooth and actually looking younger
Disadvantages: I do not like the fact that you are selling basically a piece of cloth with soap for facial cleans

...A faithful DAILY user for over 30 years. Low and behold, this latest change in the daily facial cloths refill has be boiling. Heck, I might as well buy the soap and use a towel to get the friction and results I USED to receive from the front and back of the cleansing cloths. Now, when scrubbing my face, it just feels like a piece of thin cotton with soap. WHAT HAPPENED? After this refill, I will be seeking a new facial cleanser that doesn't change for the worse. Did you really think it was okay not to include the srub side on the cloth, especially for the same price? If I don't have options to choose the type of facial cloths I need for my skintype, this will be my last box. A faithful, faithful consumer for years, who is extremely disappointed........

Good old Olay - applies to moisturisers only.

Advantages: It works, effective, smells nice.
Disadvantages: Makes oily skin more oily.

...I have been using this brand for almost a decade now, even my mother was using it when she was younger. I think with a brand that has been around for so long - it really proves that whatever they're putting into that product really works and not just a case of good marketing. i have tried everything from moisurisers to eyecreams and cleanser and have generally had no problems. Olay Complete Moisteriser: This has a combonation of vitamins and minerals along with UV filters to protect your skin. This moisturiser really works. Having used it the same night I'd bought it I could see a better difference the next day. My complexion seemed more even, looked more radiant and also well moisturised. I had tried both the fluid and the cream, both are just as good, though I found it moisturised better and the results were better too...

"Olay" For Olay

...feels great to apply, and absorbs really well and no greasiness at all. Although my skin tends to be dry in the winter I really would describe my skin as being sensitive, and I do suffer with excema, although not on my face but nevertheless sensitive, but I've had no problems in the time that I have been using this. In fact I have been so impressed with this that as my other products that I use run out, I am going to replace them with Olay and try them out too. I paid £4 for this pot and think it is very much good value. I do know that they have a vast selection of skin products for all skin types which include moisturisers, day and night creams, facial cleansers, serums, cleansing cloths, body lotions and washes.
