Olay 2...Never mind the Eyes, what about the bags?
Advantages: I feel less like Herman Monster on a bad day..
Disadvantages: The price. A little sticky until it dries.
...the Nora Batty look complete with dark circles and hammock bags.!
Ok then...OLAY EYE CONTOUR GEL:
Just the other week I picked up the Eye contour gel, selling for a cool £6.99 at Asda's.
It works by cooling and temporarily firming the delicate eye skin and lid.Only a little is needed so don't waste it and do be careful that you don't poke your eye out with it!
PACKAGING:
I do like the Olay packaging with this product as it is positvely tiny.
A 50ml size.Useful to slip into a handbag and reapply anytime your eyes feel like a swollen clump of burning grit.
The familiar shiny black lid with a screw top, finishes off quite nicely, the transparency of the product and the body of the pot ,offering the consumer a smart cool, ageless appeal so that you can see the transparent silvery water- coloured product gel itself.
Hold it up to...

Contour gel for Panda eye
Advantages: A tiny container good for travelling
Disadvantages: No visible effects, neither positive nor negative
...supposed to be parfum free, but there is a scent to it nevertheless. A very light fragrance. Olay states that the gel contains items such as witch hazel, cucumber extract and chamomile oil. Any of these three may have contributed to the slight fragrance.
To apply said gel, use finger tip to ease gel onto the skin around the eyes and smooth it until absorb. The gel feels cool on my finger. It does not feel greasy and it dissolves into my skin easily. The gel feels a little sticky though. It does not stink my eyes, so is good for the sensitive ones.
Having used said product for the past few months on a daily basis, I can safely say
1. I still have panda eyes.
2. Lines are still there.
3. Puffiness has slightly been reduced. This could have been due to me getting more than sufficient sleep and eating much better in the past few months...

one to eye up
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...I am a fan of Olay products so when I spotted Olay eye gel in my local Boots it did not take much to persuade me that it would be a worthwhile purchase. So was this a good decision or one of the many I would come to regret?
What do you get for your money?
*****************************
I paid £6.99 in my local Boots for this product. The 15ml of eye gel comes packaged in a very stylish black and gold box. Open the extensive packaging and inside you will find a small pot made of clear plastic with a black screw top lid. The packaging promises that if you use the gel for any length of time you will experience great benefits such as a reduction in fine lines, less puffiness, a reduction in dark circles under your eyes and help with skin regeneration. Sounds good doesn?t it? Having read the promise on the box I was hooked and could...

Oil of Olay
Advantages: Glides on well, smooth and even
Disadvantages: chips easily, can require a few coats
...I have searched for ages for a nail varnish that lasts more than a day, doesn't require three or four coats and dries reasonably quickly. This product fails to achieve many of these, but is still better than most other varnishes.
These nail varnishes come in many colours, by and large nice delicate pinks and blues, so if you're looking for hard-core purples or blacks, you won't find them amongst the Olay products. I have a beautiful blue, called Waterfall which looks great on and goes with most things.
However, to achieve a reasonable depth, it requires at least two to three coats, but each does dry fairly quickly. I tend to leave each for a minute or two before re-applying and this is enough to be touch dry.
The appearance of the nail varnish is really smooth and you can get away without using ridge filler, or even base coat...

Hooray for Olay!
Advantages: Excellent at removing make up
Disadvantages: Blurred vision if you use too much!
...I use a lot of products from OLAY as I feel they are a trusted brand that live up to their claims. Now I have used many eye make up removers in the past, but they have often been too harsh on my eyes and not removed much make up.
I saw this in the OLAY range and as I love their other products, I thought I would give it a try.
The Claims.
"""""""""""""""""
OLAY claim that their eye make up remover is 'specifically designed to gently, yet thoroughly remove even waterproof mascara'.
The Packaging.
""""""""""""""""""""""
The product comes in a white 100ml tube. At the top it has a blue wavy banner. The word OLAY is written in bold black letters and is underlined with a wavy gold line. On the front of the tube it states that it is fragrance and colour free and that it is for normal/dry and combination skin. You can stand...

Oil of Olay Cooling Eyeshadow Pencil
Advantages: Nice Convenient Eye Pencil
Disadvantages: Need a large pencil sharpener to sharpen it.
...I have recently purchased this product in Golden Brown, Oil of Olay have got a good reputation when it comes to their makeup products, but this new product they have launched is one of their best. The eyeshadow pencil is easy to use, and glides on really well, with no need to use an applicator. The colour is really rich, this may not apply to other colours, but the Golden Brown colour has a gold effect when applied and the colour lasts for ages. This is a product you can take anywhere, you can just pop it in your handbag and if you do need to retouch your make up its all in one easy pencil. The pencil design is really nice and looks quite expensive looking, but the price of this product is good as well, considering it's an Oil of Olay product....

Fresh Eyes
Advantages: Makes eyes feel fresh and skin feel taught
Disadvantages: Runs out quite quickly.
...At the ripe old age of 21 I was persuaded to invest in an under-eye gel after my friend made an offhand comment about how so many people our age already have fine lines. After examining my eyes in detail for about an hour I rushed to the local beauty counter and selected Oil of Olay Eye Contour Gel. It caught my eye because the range it belongs to have great packaging, striking black, white and gold boxes and sturdy, resiliant tubs. At approximately £8.00 I thought it was a bit steep but I really think that it's worth it. Aside from preventing wrinkles (which can't be proven until I'm 40!) it definitely had a good effect on improving the appearance of my soft skin under my eyes. Several fine veins looked visbibly reduced as a result of the combination of stimulating the blood by applying the gel, and the refreshing feel to it. My...

Not the best Olay product I've tried
Advantages: Makes eyes feel refreshed
Disadvantages: No effect on dark circles and not happy with packaging
...Yes, I'm writing another Olay review - anyone would think I had shares in the company, but no, I just use a lot of their products. Now that I'm in my 30s I find myself trying more and more products in an attempt to preserve the youthful qualities of my skin. I guess it's just a sign of my age and it goes hand in hand with the way I've started to listen to Radio 2 with increasing frequency.
Up to now I've always been very satisfied with any Olay product that I've tried. Pardon the plug, but if you were to read my glowing reviews of their moisturiser and night cream you'd see what I meant. However, this eye contour gel just doesn't live up to many of the other Olay products.
Before I go on to tell you what I don't like about it, lets start with the facts. If you buy
Olay's Eye Contour Gel from the usual high street retailers it...

Is Baby oil the 'oil' in Oil Of olay
Advantages: can't think of any
Disadvantages: strong thick scent, mineral oil in there, expensive etc.
...I've just got to the end of my bottle of Olay Daily Renewal body wash. Now, I didn't buy it for myself, it was one of the many things that my sister gives me after her skin reacts badly to it. I was half way through the bottle when I started investigating petroleum products/by-products and reluctantly decided to finish the bottle because it is quite expensive. I suppose it goes without saying that I won't be buying it again for the petrolatum (mineral oil/baby oil) reason.
On to the product:
They have changed the bottle since I was given it, but my bottle is gold black and white. On the front it boasts 40+ uses with the olay puff (any old puff thing you can buy cheaply will do - which is a plastic net that causes foaminess when used with shower products!).
Apparently the wash is supposed to give your skin 24hr moisturisation...

The eyes have it
Advantages: Helps with minor dark circles, inexpensive considering how long a pot lasts
Disadvantages: Cold in the winter!!
...I've always had minor dark circles underneath my eyes, I've never been sure if this is through lack of sleep or that I'm crossed with a panda.
I've tried several products to remove these circles, but most to no avail. I tried Olay Eye Contour Gel expecting similar results to the other products I had tried, but approached it with the attitude of if you don't try, you won't know.
The price initially seemed expensive at just under £9 per pot, but considering the amount you use each time and the length of time each pot lasts, the cost is with hindsight quite reasonable.
The clear gel, I have always found, is easily abosrbed into my skin and unlike other similar products, it doesn't make my eyes feel cold after I have used it.
There is a slight perfume to the gel; the nearest scent I can compare it to is vanilla. This smell isn...
