OKI lazer printer cheap and cheerful

Advantages: Cheap, Quick
Disadvantages: Heavy, running cost

...The Oki C3200 lazer printer was great value purchase. i got mine for £160 which for a lazer printer full of toner is actually quite cheap. the printer its self is quite big and can only do up to A4. it also weights a bit so pick a spot where it will live because you wont ever feel like moving it. Using 4 color toner cartridiges (cyan, magenta, yellow, black.) the printer preduces great quality prints, thats once it warms, takes about 2mins in my experience. once it does warm up it just spits out the pages one after another almost no pause between pages, it seems to take less than 2 seconds per page. For the size of this printer i was suprised that it only holds 500 sheets of paper which means regular trips back to it. the upkeep can work out expencive depending on how much you use it toner prices start at £24 for 1,500 page...

Review of OKI C 3200

Oki 5600n Is Amazing!

Advantages: Low cost, relatively quiet, good software pack & support from Oki
Disadvantages: Wish it was A3 for this price but nothing else springs to mind

...When Oki released their colour printers a few years ago the print results were mediocre to say the least. Colour lasers had cleaner sharper lines and the finish was simply better. In the past couple of years Oki have refined their technology and printer software to bring us a range of machines that are truly amazing! The C5600n was my printer of choice. It warms up quickly, is reltively quiet and produces laser quality fast prints at a relatively low cost. The user interface is excellent, printer operation is simple and the replacement of toners, drums and fuser unit very simple. There are good offers around from main line Oki dealers so shop wisely but deals can be found. I would be wary of buying second hand as these machines can be given hard lifes but for a personal/office printer of this quality at a sub-£400 price...

Review of OKI C 5600n

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

Smallest A3 Printer EVER

Advantages: A3, Small, Fast with great picture quality
Disadvantages: Cannot find one

Fujitsu AMILO Mini Ui 3520 Is excellent value for money

Advantages: Windows O.S., Battery, Style/Layout, Webcam,
Disadvantages: Lid/Cover doesn't fold 180 degrees back

...I have had my Fujitsu AMILO Mini Ui 3520 six months and it's been worth every penny so far. I paid £230. I feel lucky that i came across this netbook while searching for something to compare with the higher priced HP netbooks. Its got everything you need and more. I was pleased to get the windows operating system, which meant i had no compatability issues with my braodband dongle. The battery size is great, fully charged, I get 4 hours constant use. The webcam is a bonus. Mouse buttons are nicely located and sized. Speakers are just right. Styling is upto date, I like the white, even though it comes with a second marroon lid cover, I just need the white porsche 911 to go with it. Memory card slot is perfect. ...I believe that most OKI microline printers are used for business purposes, as are most other dot matrix printers. The microline can be seen in Airports and Hotels all around the country. I have used them in a business capacity for several years and always found them to be outstandingly reliable. I have now been fortunate enough to pick one up for home use. It is second hand with quite a few miles on the clock but is ideal for my uses since I send out a lot of letters and type up reports etc. for my college course. Make no mistake, dot matrix printers are for text only, don't even consider printing graphics on one - it just looks crap. But as a text-only printer the Microline 520 is very hard to beat. C'Mon Print Dammit...C'Mon..........

Advantages: Cheap, Good After Sales Support, Small Footprint
Disadvantages: Slow, Poor Memory Capacity, Tendency To Act Like A Sulking Child

...... Now, I work in IT and 90% of the documents I poduce are PDF's, so this really isn't a viable solution. The print quality itself isn't too bad, pretty standard for an MFP and the toners do have about 2500 pages in them. There are two options of toner, 2500 pages and 4000 pages at 5% toner coverage. It only has a 250 sheet feeder tray, but that is stuffing it full. I can only get about 100 pages in and still expect it to print properly without throwing a hissy fit and chewing up a couple of pieces of paper. Changing the toner is also quite laborious since you have to lift the scanner unit up, unclip both sides and then unclip and remove the toner, then reverse the process to install the new one. Don't even try to fix a paper jam without the aid of a screwdriver, quantum physics manual and mystery vortex. Scanning & Copying...

Perfect SOHO solution!

...Have owned this printer for a few months now and is not disappointed. It makes very nice prints, is quite customizable and is not as noicy as many other color laser printers. I have access to a HP Lasterjet 2550n, which it beats in more than one way. The colors of the OKI prints are of course not what you see on your screen. That means that you have to get used to the printer, to learn which colors it will spit out. I suppose that is perfectly normal for a printer in this class. And one has to remember this is NOT a photoprinter - appearently bubblejets have overtaken this segment when it comes to quality. What do you need to know, if you want to buy this thing? Well.
