Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

I have used them in a business capacity for several years and always found them to be outstandingly reliable. I have now been fortunate enough to pick one up for home use. It is second hand with quite a few miles on the clock but is ideal for my uses since I send out a lot of letters and type up reports etc. for my college course. Make no mistake, dot matrix printers are for text only, don't even consider printing graphics on one - it just looks crap. But as a text-only printer the Microline 520 is very hard to beat. Review of OKI B 4100

Hardly A cuteLaser

Advantages: Superb Colour Quality
Disadvantages: Bit big, bit noisy and a bit fiddly

...I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86. They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads. So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road. The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat. Specification ++++++++++ I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers. But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately. That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper. It uses four toner cartridges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow...

Review of Epson AcuLaser C1100

Oki 5600n Is Amazing!

Advantages: Low cost, relatively quiet, good software pack & support from Oki
Disadvantages: Wish it was A3 for this price but nothing else springs to mind

...When Oki released their colour printers a few years ago the print results were mediocre to say the least. Colour lasers had cleaner sharper lines and the finish was simply better. In the past couple of years Oki have refined their technology and printer software to bring us a range of machines that are truly amazing! The C5600n was my printer of choice. It warms up quickly, is reltively quiet and produces laser quality fast prints at a relatively low cost. The user interface is excellent, printer operation is simple and the replacement of toners, drums and fuser unit very simple. There are good offers around from main line Oki dealers so shop wisely but deals can be found. I would be wary of buying second hand as these machines can be given hard lifes but for a personal/office printer of this quality at a sub-£400 price...

OKI lazer printer cheap and cheerful

...The Oki C3200 lazer printer was great value purchase. i got mine for £160 which for a lazer printer full of toner is actually quite cheap. the printer its self is quite big and can only do up to A4. it also weights a bit so pick a spot where it will live because you wont ever feel like moving it. Using 4 color toner cartridiges (cyan, magenta, yellow, black.) the printer preduces great quality prints, thats once it warms, takes about 2mins in my experience. once it does warm up it just spits out the pages one after another almost no pause between pages, it seems to take less than 2 seconds per page. For the size of this printer i was suprised that it only holds 500 sheets of paper which means regular trips back to it. the upkeep can work out expencive depending on how much you use it toner prices start at £24 for 1,500 page...

Top Notch Laser Printer for the Office

The company I work for had decided to standardise all printers to cut costs on toners and so they didn?t need to buy so many different toners. The main printer in use was the HP LaserJet 2420N but this was discontinued and superseded by the HP LaserJet P3005 printers so I decided on this one. The P3005 printers come in several flavours. There?s the P3005 (no network), P3005N (with network) and P3005DN (duplex, with parallel connection and network). All of them have a USB connection. The P3005N costs £436.98 at Dabs.com, with the DN version costing slightly more and I replaced four printers with P3005N?s across several sites. The printer has two paper trays. OKI B4100 LED page printer

Advantages: Inexpensive cost per page, quick, parallel and USB interfaces
Disadvantages: no printed manual, no cables, slightly tricky to get going

...that I'm getting between 10 & 15 pages per minute output which is stupidly fast for light to moderate personal use. As is usual with laser/LED printers there is slight page curl in the output - but it is just that - slight. Given 10 minutes on a flat surface it's almost totally flat once more. In operation it has a noticable fan noise - although it's no worse than any other laser/LED printer I've ever used in my opinion and it's considerably quieter than the mechanism noise on some of the inkjets I've had in the past. Toner costs around £20-25 for 2500-3000 pages (depending upon how it's measured) which equates to 0.7-1.0p per page in toner costs. The drum has a quoted life of 25000 pages, but perversely currently costs more than the printer itself, which seems totally mad. When mine reaches that stage of its life, I shall...

Great Little Laser Printer for the Home

Advantages: Compact, Quick, Reliable, Good quality, Cheap Compatible toner

...The HP LaserJet 1020 is a simple and compact black and white laser printer from HP. It superseded the LaserJet 1010, 1012, 1018 model s but as it has been out for quite a while, has itself been superseded by the LaserJet 1022 and maybe the LaserJet P1006 models, although mine is still going strong. The printer chassis has two shades of light greys and the body is quite curvy. It is small enough to fit in a book shelf, which is where I have mine. The trays stick out when extended but I fold up the paper feed tray when not in use. It only measures 370 x 242 x 209 mm so is probably one of the most compact laser printers you can get. I originally bought mine from Amazon for £45, which was an excellent deal but this printer usually sells for £60 - £100. INSTALLATION The printer came with a CD containing the driver.
