Olay Complete Care Day Cream

Advantages: Effective moisturiser, provides broad spectrum sun protection, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Gave me spots.

...Olay Complete Care Day Cream comes in a jar which contains 50ml of the moisturiser. The jar makes it very easy to get the amount of product that you want out, as you can just scoop it out with a finger. However, this does mean that it is easier to contaminate the contents with bacteria. A jar is the ideal packaging for this product though, because it is a cream, and too thick in texture for a bottle. The texture of the white cream is quite thick, but it smoothes over my skin quite easily, without much dragging. It absorbs in quite a short time, and feels very comfortable on my face and neck. It provides an ideal amount of moisture for my normal-dry skin (it is especially nice for the winter months, due to the thick texture), and makes my skin appear to glow slightly. Make-up goes on well afterwards, and the fragrance is nice and light...

...I've never known anyone to dis this product! Lets face it our Mums and Grandma's are usually known for loving it through the generations! Advantages: SPF 15; doesn't feel at all heavy; doesn't irritate skin
Disadvantages: Expensive, unpleasant scent, doesn't blend or moisturise well; makes face shiny

...This summer I was looking for a tinted moisturiser, because it seemed better to wear a tinted moisturiser during hot weather rather than a standard moisturiser and slightly heavy foundation. It's more comfortable to do so, and lets your freckles shine through a bit, which I find are naturally more apparent in summer. Advantages: Moisturizes without being heavy or greasy
Disadvantages: Its slightly fragranced so it may irritate more sensitive skins

...i need to drastically change my routine before i caused irreperable damage and spent hours trawling the internet for advice. It turns out that the best products to use are ones that are non-comedogenic. This means that they wont block your pores. This is where Olay comes in. Now im not saying that Olay cleared my spots- i used Dermalogica for that. But what it did do was repair the over-dried and highly sensitized skin that had developed on my checks, temples and around my mouth from using the harsher products to begin with. The equivalent moisturizer in the Dermalogica range unfortunately did nothing to repair the damage caused from before. Advantages: Very easy to apply, doesn't streak, no nasty smell

Classic Care Rediscovered

Advantages: Reasonably priced, leaves skin well moisturised, SPF15
Disadvantages: Doesn't look very impressive on your bathroom shelf

...’m not sure whether my change of heart has come from smart marketing on Oil of Olay’s part or just the fact I’m (a little) older now but I succumbed a bought a tub a couple of months ago. To be far Oil of Olay have made an effort to update their packaging. This product used to come in a very boring and generally unappealing white box with a black Oil of Olay logo (see picture). It very much looked liked a moisturiser from a few decades before! Recently Oil of Olay ‘Complete Care’ cream has had a much need makeover. It still comes in a small box about 5cms tall and 6cms wide. The white colour remains however it has now been matched with gold and this coupled with a modernized logo and far less dated font makes the product look so much more appealing. Olay Complete Everyday Sunshine for face, Perfect!

Advantages: Nice even glow, with spf15 and can wear make-up on top!
Disadvantages: Orange fingernails.

...and silky and is not greasy when applied to the skin. I feel that it rubs in easily and the best thing about it is that you are able to apply make-up on top. Most tanning moisturisers do not recommend this and therefore I was reluctant to try them as it was not until a week or so after using the product that I started to notice a tan and therefore was uncomfortable not wearing foundation till then. The packaging is small, and the product is decently priced. Around £7 for a 50ml tube. It can fit in your handbag easily, and so can be taken with you anywhere for when you feel you need to freshen up your face. I have heard that people have had a few problems in regards to orangy hairlines. This has not been a problem for me. The best cream you could use!

Advantages: Cheap, trusted brand, does the job!
Disadvantages: None

...This cream is gorgeous - I started using it on return from holiday with my tan. I use it every morning AND night - it makes my skin beautifully soft and prolongs my tan from peeling! It easily packaged, a nice consistency and your skin really drinks it up and this means there is no greasiness left behind. I apply in the morning also under my makeup and it creates a fantastic base once soaked in after around 20 mins. Your skin and makeup stays fresh all day. I would certainly recommend this cream - I was given it as a Christmas present and will certainly be buying another tub when it has run out! It also suits all ages (i'm 27) and feel that if I continue to use this my skin will stay looking younger for longer....
