Olay Complete Care Day Cream

Advantages: Effective moisturiser, provides broad spectrum sun protection, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Gave me spots.

...Olay Complete Care Day Cream comes in a jar which contains 50ml of the moisturiser. The jar makes it very easy to get the amount of product that you want out, as you can just scoop it out with a finger. However, this does mean that it is easier to contaminate the contents with bacteria. A jar is the ideal packaging for this product though, because it is a cream, and too thick in texture for a bottle. The texture of the white cream is quite thick, but it smoothes over my skin quite easily, without much dragging. It absorbs in quite a short time, and feels very comfortable on my face and neck. It provides an ideal amount of moisture for my normal-dry skin (it is especially nice for the winter months, due to the thick texture), and makes my skin appear to glow slightly. Make-up goes on well afterwards, and the fragrance is nice and light...

Olay first begun in the 1950's by Graham and Dinah Wulff in a home laboratory, the batch even being mixed by hand. Within five years Olay was a hug success covering many countries. Today Proctor and Gamble have the Olay name firmly under there belt. I must admit to not having used this brand up until a few months ago, I do think that we should pay attention to our skin, mine gets very dry in the winter months on my face, and before Christmas needed a new moisturising day cream, and although I'm not a skin flint I just cannot bring myself to paying £30 or £40 for a face cream, so shopped around a little and thought I'd give this a try, after all it cant be that bad for the amount of time that it has been around. ...I love Olay Daily Renewal Cream. I have been using it for over six years, and I have found it to be the best of all Olay face creams. It smells divine. It is very lightly scented in an unobtrusive way. The texture of the cream is very light and soft and is so easily absorbed into the skin. Indeed it is in my view the lightest of all the Olay creams. I have tried others, and discontinued them, either because, they felt more heavy and oily or because they just did not smell as nice as as Daily Renewal Cream. My skin literally glows, and my complextion is smooth and lovely. I am however concerned that this product is no longer easily available on shop shelves, and would like to know why this is so. I desperately hope that it has not been discontinued, because that would be very tragic for me. It is a great product....

A pretty good night cream

...So after reading all the positive reviews on here about this Olay night cream I just knew that I had to buy it as i do not currently have a night cream and love my lotions and potions! Okay so I managed to find a pot of this stuff on Amazon for only £13.49 when it normally costs around £20! Now Olay claim that using this will mean that once you wake up your face will look like it has had a mini facial- impressive! So it came to bedtime and i opened up the pot- yes this is a pot not a pump which I actually quite like as I can really see what it is exactly that i'm putting on my face. So the cream is lilac in colour and looks quite thick a bit like whipped cream. The scent I really like as it is a sexy kind of musky evening smell. Although it looks and feels quite thick it sinks into your skin very quick which was a pleasant surprise...

...I have always been a lover of Olay products, and when I saw the advert for this new 'wonder' cream I thought I would give it a go. Although this product is over £20.00, judging by the advert it was supposed to give your skin a luminous effect. I was not at all impressed by this product, a definate let down by Olay. Granted the impressive packaging looks really fancy, and you would expect a cream that costs over the £20.00 mark to work wonders, but in fact the cream was in my opinion no better than the cheaper Olay creams on the market. The cream itself is a mousse, which is quite different, and on application it glided on easily, but I found that the mousse did not absorb very well into my skin and left my skin feeling sticky and somewhat shiny. I wont waste the product, as it cost a bomb, but after an hour the mousse still...
