Olivaer Apart Hotel - A good base to explore from

Disadvantages: Basic range of facilities

...The Olivaer Apart Hotel is very reasonably priced and there are some excellent off-peak offers available. It is located just off Olivaer Platz, literally across the road from a bus stop that takes you up the Kurfurstendamm (or you can walk up) and about 5 minutes from the U-bahn at Adenaur. If you are happy getting round the city on public transport this is an excellent hotel. There are a few cafes, bars and restaurants close though not a huge selection (there is no dedicated night life area in West Berlin, you will need to try different areas each night). There is also a supermarket two doors away for water and other snacks. The rooms are quite large but had a small bathroom and are simply furnished with beds, desk, table, chairs and a wardrobe. There is also a satellite TV and mini bar and hairdryers etc can be borrowed...

Quaint Spanish Town

Advantages: Quiet and Relaxing. Typical Old Spain
Disadvantages: None for me.

...If you want to have a relaxing holiday away from the main Spanish Costas, or just tour some of Spain?s more ancient parts, then you must stay in Oliva. This is where my wife and I stayed in March 2003, in a friend?s bed and breakfast town house near to the old town. Situated about 75 kms from Valencia airport and about 100 kms from Alicante airport, Oliva is easily accessible from the UK. Just on the outskirts of the town is the main A7 Motorway. This road links this area to places like Benidorm (to the south), and Barcelona (to the north). If you keep travelling north on this road you will reach France. Oliva itself, has much to offer in local culture and history, and I hope this review will give some good insights into the town and surrounding area. Review of Citadines Berlin Olivaer Platz, Berlin

A truly funny comedy.

Advantages: great light hearted play with a siniter underside.
Disadvantages: You need to be able to cope with the language.

...One of my favorites, just so that you kniow I am biased. The plot: Viola and her twin brother are shipwrecked. each survives but believes the other to be dead. Viola disguises herself as a boy and goes to wrok for Count Orsino. Count orsino is in love with Oliva. Oliva is in mourning for her dead brother, causing Viola some sympathy pangs. The Count sends Viola to woo Olivia on his behalf. Viola falls in love with the count, oliva falls in love with Viola. Then Viola's twin appears, causing much confusion and several mariages. Meanwhile in the subplot, Sir Toby Belch, Oliva's relative is trying to get her to marry his friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek - who is a fool. Oliva's mansertant Malvollio is in love with Oliva, but causes much irritation to the other servants, to the two sirs and to the wandering minstrel/wise man/fool - Feste...

Review of Twelfth Night - William Shakespeare

Eddie Murphy is back - and this time he isn't playing a donkey..

Advantages: Mildly amusing
Disadvantages: It's not really a proper family film as billed

...also stars Yara Shahidi, a 9 year old child star, as Olivia . Murphy plays her dad, Evan, seperated from Oliva's mum, but rarely to be apart from his Blackberry and his work in finance. This is where I had the first problem with the film - I suspect Americans are rather more interested in investment and funds than we are, but setting the film in this world seemed rather strange for a family film. We saw Olivia trying to lure Evan away from his investment world with her imaginary world into which she retreats by covering her head with her comfort blanket - her googaa. She has a whole cast of imaginary friends who we, and Evan, only ever see through the eyes of Olivia, but conveniently they are Princesses and the like with a keen interest in stock prices, or so it turns out. I have no idea if "googaa" is a word for comfort blanket in...

AN ADULTS FAIRY TALE

...I haven?t written a book review in ages but felt that this book, which I recently read deserved an op. It?s so fantastic and one that I couldn?t put down. Called The Rebel Fairy and is the second book by Deborah Wright who wrote Oliva?s Bliss. It was published this year (2002) by Time Warner books. It?s quite a light, fun, frothy read and one that could be read in the garden on a summer?s day with a large glass of coke, bliss! ...someone of the Restaurants and Coffes that there are and drink a nice Horchata or Ice Lemon, while you feel the Sun in your face. But Valencia has more things. The new and modern Valencia is the Arts and the Science's City with the Planetary where you can watch Imax movies- I advice you to watch " Cirque du Soleil" movie. Near this building is the new Science's Museum Price Philip. It is a modern building made by Calatrava where you can play with the Science. You can watch, listen and touch all that there are. Out the city, you have a lot of nice places and landscapes as La Albufera. A lake where you can see the most nice Sunshines and enjoy of a funny ship walk. If do you want nice beach, from Sagunto until Oliva you have more than 20 Km of nice, blue ad clearn beaches with a lot of places for to enjoy and lunch. All the year is good...

A great island to visit

...peaceful island and the airport is just south of the town. I would personally recommend that you hire a car for at least part of your stay on the Island. This will enable you to explore the island. It takes about three hours to drive from the north of the island to the south Jandia with its 22-kilometre beach. Other places of interest to see while staying on the island are El Cotillo with its lagoon, which offer the safest bathing on the Island. La Oliva is also worth visiting and if you get the chance I would recommend that you visit is art gallery. Betancuria the historical old capital of the island is also worth visiting. There are two other major resorts on Fuerteventura these are the man made resort of Caleta de Fuste which is located just south of the airport. The other major resort is at the south of the island....
