Hello MJU!
Advantages: Lightweight camera
Disadvantages: None yet
...to cameras of the digital variety. So he told me to buy it myself as a family present rather than a personal one, and promptly handed over the cash. This was great as I still got proper presents and everything!
I decided to wait until after Christmas, hoping that the sales would produce a suitable camera with a bit of money off to boot. So we eventually hit the sales on the Monday after Christmas. After fighting our way through Curry?s amongst angry looking customers with arms laden with cheap kettles and CD players we ran all the way to Jessops, which wasn?t so busy or filled with crazy bargain hunters.
We met a very nice man in Jessops who pointed us in the right direction after giving him our budget and camera requirements. He showed us a variety of different cameras but as soon as I saw the Olympus mju with 4m pixels, I...

Olympus's Latest [Mju:] and it's a SCREAMER!!
Advantages: small and light, metal body giving a sophisticated look and feel, easy to operate, weather proof
Disadvantages: the memory card is different from my previous Olympus digital camera, image quality at dimly lit environment is somewhat questionable, software supplied not up to standard
...from Malaysia and he brought it over to me when he came to visit me 2 weeks ago. The price I paid for is roughly £240, including an extra 128Mb Olympus XD card and a 1.5m high tripod. But I think the box content should be the same, as in Europe and Asia the camera is called the Mju series, but it?s known as Stylus in the U.S. I think most probably the biggest difference is that mine comes with a bilingual (English Mandarin) manual and the camera itself contains Mandarin language.
Basically at a glance, the major improvement for the Mju: 410 model is its ability to record movie clip with, YES!!!, you can record the clip with sound. I have to admit before I continue any further, that I am a big fan of the Mju series, and the reason I haven?t got the 300 or 400 was because they can't record any audio with the movie clip. But I?ll try not to...

The Olympus u[MJU:] 400 Digital Camera.
Advantages: Compact, Lightweight, Stylish and 4.0 megapixels means you can print up to A3, still with a high quality printout.
Disadvantages: No protective case included and the larger xD-Picture Cards are highly priced.
...of each camera was. After days of searching I went to a store where they only sold cameras. When I entered the store there was a lot of information for potential customers. For example, there was a list of megapixels, then next to it; it told you how large you could print up to with each amount of pixels, which would still be of a high quality.
I had a good look at the list and decided that I may want to print my images up to A3. I therefore needed a 4.0 megapixel or higher Digital Camera. Off I went looking at each suitable manufacturer?s cameras.
Then I spotted it, the Olympus u [MJU:] 400 Digital Camera. It was excellent. I liked the look of it as, it was compact and in a tough, hard looking metal case, which meant if I dropped it, it wouldn't break easily. When the staff handed it to me, I couldn't believe how stylish it looked in...

Olympus MJU 770 SW
Advantages: water-proof, drop-proof, shock-proof and takes great pictures
Disadvantages: lens in top left corner so wouldn't suit those with huge hands
...I bought this about 8 weeks ago from clickto.co.uk for just over £225 including delivery, and I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived
The olympus MJU 770 SW is a fabulous camera in every way, it's small, light, waterproof, drop proof, and you can stand on it if you so wish as long as you are under 100 kilograms
I bought it to travel with and spent many a happy day snorkelling in hurghada recently, it takes simply stunning underwater shots and I can not recommend it highly enough
the batter life is very reasonable, shot time is quick, display bright and clear in fact the only negative point would only affect those with big hands, sometimes your finger may obscure the lens as it's in the top left corner so you need to be aware of finger placement but apart from that it's a fantastic camera and I can't see me changing mine...

olympus, .... king of cameras!
Advantages: slimline, compact, quality!
Disadvantages: no viewfinder....thats about it!
...) and i was very impressed with what i got for the money i had spent. i'm also not very good with intrustions and dont generally pick up how to work things that quickly... technology in general being my mortal enemy! however after using my new olympus mju 700 for about five/ten minutes i pretty much had it all figured out!
i think the different options for picture taking are fantastic... everything from shooting underwater to fireworks to pictures by candlelight. i also quickly tried out the film option. it films for up to 40 seconds with sound and is pretty good quality. all you have to do is press the power button, it automatically sets itself up and all you really have to do is point and click. the screen size is 2.5 LCD, which is fantastic for taking your pics and then viewing them after. there is no viewfinder, but with a nice big...

Olympus MJU 400
Advantages: Size, good results - Digital!
Disadvantages: Shutter lag
...This is an excellent camera which I would recommend without hesitation, if it had not been superceded by the MJU410 which adds sound recording!
This is a fantastic camera. It fits in a pocket and achieves fantastic results - Lord Litchfield swears by this particular model. it just slips in a pocket so easily. I have even used it for work because it is so handy.
The battery life is good - I bought a spare battery and have never needed it.
A 128Mb card will probably be sufficient for most needs including holidays.
The build quality is fine however a plastic lug has broken off the flap you need to get the card out or connect to a computer.
Fast moving action can be difficult to capture in low light where you need the flash - Shutter lag can be very annoying - I tried to capture some live dancing and it was extremely...

Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital review
Advantages: great for just turnig on and taking pictures
Disadvantages: limited cotrol (eg, professional settings, such as aperture and shutter and iso speed)
...the Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital is an update of the Olympus µ[MJU:] 400 Digital, which was a popular model. olympus have added quite a few extra features to this camera such as:
-true pic turbo image processor which delivers more image clarity, contrast and brilliant colour and also increases the camera's processing speed by up to 30%.
-sunshine LCD screen, 1.5 inches with 134,000 pixels
-wider ISO range (from 64 to 500)
-more scene program exposure modes like aperture priority, shutter speed priority or manual.
-movie recording function with sound and PictBridge support whichallows direct printing with compatible printers.
All for only about £40 more than its slightly older predecessor.
In adition, the camera has a 4 megapixel resolution and a full body metal case, which protect the camera from water spray from any...

MY MJU TOY IS A JOY!
Advantages: large viewfinder, decent battery life, user-friendly, many different modes
Disadvantages: no case provided, no memory card provided, screen prone to finger-prints
...I have been using the Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital Camera for three months now and from my experience of using it I can say that it is a high quality, user friendly and good value compact digital camera. Having never owned a digital camera before, I wanted something easy to use as well as having a durable and stylish body, and producing high quality images. Experience so far has proven that this camera completely fulfils these criteria. The instruction manual has simple and clear diagrams as well as easy to follow instructions that all users, including children could follow without any problems.
This is an all-weather camera so you can take it virtually anywhere, this is due to the rubber gaskets on the interior of the camera which ensure water can't get in and cause damage. However while the camera can easily survive a torrential...

Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital
Advantages: Lightweight, robust, sexy looks, simple to use
Disadvantages: out of date in camera menu.
...Have owned the 700 for 6 months now and am overall very impressed. Its got all the features you need for a fun camera. 23 different "scenes" of which i only use 3 or 4 are very useful, meaning you dont have to fiddle around with different settings. Just choose the scene you are in, for instance 'nightime' and click away. The video function works well as well and as a budding golfer i have used the camera to take videos of my swing analysing it on the Olympus Master program on my laptop. The design is slick and sexy, the front panel is curved which i think is just for aesthetic reasons, but it feels nice in your palm and the weight of the camera has to be one of its main advantages. It really is the lightest camera I have ever felt of its kind and all my friends are envious of it for that reason.
If I had to choose anything that...

Just between me and mju
Advantages: excellent lens, good range of features, large (2.5") LCD screen
Disadvantages: No viewfinder, small buttons, not great for contrajour shots
...I've always been an Olympus camera fan, and have bought quite a few of them over the years - not because they're unreliable and need constant replacing, but because technology moves on and I don't like to get left behind! My last Olympus digital camera was only 2 megapixels (virtually top of the range when I bought it), so was due a well-deserved retirement. I settled on the Olympus mju digital 600 to replace it, and overall I've been fairly happy with it. One thing to note though if you're intending to upgrade from an earlier Olympus - the mju 600 takes an XD card, so you may not be able to use your old memory cards. And if you're buying a new card, make sure you buy genuine Olympus cards if you intend to use the camera's "panorama" function (it doesn't work with other cards).
What about the specification? Well, the mju 600 offers...
