Olympus MJU 770 SW

Advantages: water-proof, drop-proof, shock-proof and takes great pictures
Disadvantages: lens in top left corner so wouldn't suit those with huge hands

...I bought this about 8 weeks ago from clickto.co.uk for just over £225 including delivery, and I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived The olympus MJU 770 SW is a fabulous camera in every way, it's small, light, waterproof, drop proof, and you can stand on it if you so wish as long as you are under 100 kilograms I bought it to travel with and spent many a happy day snorkelling in hurghada recently, it takes simply stunning underwater shots and I can not recommend it highly enough the batter life is very reasonable, shot time is quick, display bright and clear in fact the only negative point would only affect those with big hands, sometimes your finger may obscure the lens as it's in the top left corner so you need to be aware of finger placement but apart from that it's a fantastic camera and I can't see me changing mine...

A winner from Olympus

Advantages: All weather build, great results
Disadvantages: No remote

...I am planning to do some touring on my cycle and required a camera that not only was lightweight and weather-proof but also took reasonable quality photos. I used to take a Leica M4-P with a Summilux 35mm lens on such journeys It requires no batteries and has been submerged in puddles more than once and survived. However the cost of roll film is now a becoming drawback. Digital photography has the main advantage of disposible imagery but the disadvantages of being subject to water damage and always requiring battery power (when camping the opportunities for recharging are probably zero) I already have an Olympus E-510 with a 14-54mm zoom lens that produces good quality pics, but is not puddle-proof. 206 SW - eye catching 206 styling,

Advantages: more space than a standard 206, looks
Disadvantages: spare wheel, noise from rear windows, inconsistent pefrormance

...This is the second 206 SW we have had since new, and the third 206 in total. This was my partners choice of car as I was mainly on the motorbike and she would be using it the most. With the arrival of our child the standard 206 wasn't quite big enough for the luggage, so we went for the SW version (1.4 engine). Despite what the press say, the boot is alot bigger than the standard 206. there is no parcel shelf to remove, just a retractable blind which draws across the boot space if you don't fill it to the roof. Non worry camera!!

Advantages: hard wearing durable - will go anywhere
Disadvantages: have to charge the battery out of the camera as standard

...This camera is a fantastic item for those of you who wnat a really hardwearing durable camera that you are not constantly worrying about - this one lies in puddles of beer at rugby parties and gets thrown about at the beach. It has even been put in a pint!! The pictures we have taken when we read the instructions and worked out the settings have been great. The flash is a little bright and gives a little red eye, but the sw that comes with it removes that at a click. the battery is a rechargeable "cameras own" but the lifetime seems great so far and you do get a warning in the corner keeping you up to date. There was no card in the box but there is a small memory in the cmaera itself - you can always get a deal or find a card on the web. I have an SL-r camera and have owned a small Canon in the past but for a handbag size camera...

407SW SE + Lux Pack 136HDI

Advantages: looks different
Disadvantages: limited rear vision, super soft paint & thin body panels

...Wow!! What a great car! I have had it just over a year now & covered 40,000 miles. It is a company car which I had a choice what to pick. 3 cars were in the running, Volvo V50, Honda Accord & the 407SW. I liked (& still do) the Volvo but previous constant appalling service of my old V40 by my local Volvo dealers meant unfortunately the V50 was a non-runner. The Honda is a great car...but ugly!! Sorry, but it IS UGLY!! So, I was left with a great looking car made by Peugeot. Well, the car just says 'buy me!'...'RIDE ME!' I had to have it although I had my reservations about driving a Peugeot. Would it be unreliable? Would it handle like a boat? Would the dealers be worse than the Volvo dealers?? I took the plunge & ordered the 407SW SE with the luxury pack & 136HDI diesel. I added xenon lights & the JBL hifi as options...

Yamaha SW 1000XG

Advantages: Superb s/n ratio, 6 effects busses, 12 wave devices, 64 note polyphonic synth with 1200+ voices.
Disadvantages: no

...OK, so you're into music. You want a new sound card. You want a hard disk recording system. You want on board synthesis with 1000+ voices. You want 6 independent effects busses. You want all processing to be handled by the card. You want an unrivalled signal to noise ratio. You want a Yamaha 02R digital mixing console worth £3000 on a card the size of 2 floppy disks for £400. Well - what you're basically saying is that you want a studio in a box... and that is more or less what the SW1000-XG is. Where to start. Firstly - if you want to get the full potential out of this card you must understand MIDI - especially system exclusive messages. Although there are GUI editors to control most features on this card, there's a lot more that can be done if you understand SysEx. The card has 12 independent wave devices and 6 effects busses...

...This is my own personal opinion and does not intend to infringe upon the legal rights of peugeot to maintain their own view of how they think their vechicle should be described. when I last looked this was a free country so i am going to say what I think anyway, protocol, protocol protocol. I have been loaned one of these as a hire car after driving citroens for the past few years, I expected peugeot to have advanced their suspension forward to a more comfortable ride. the 407 SW is very noisey with road noise penetraiting the cockpit at an unbelieveable rate. the tyre pressures are monitered by a computer and must be maintained at 2.6 bar which is around 40psi if not the computer keeps flashing a message in front of the driver warnning of a puncture some where on the car, it dosent tell you which wheel has the offending tyre so...
