My Review of the Olympus Camedia C-460 Zoom

Advantages: Easy to use if I can use it
Disadvantages: No Rechargeable Batteries

...The Olympus Camedia C-460 Zoom: My Review for the Olympus C-460 :) I got the Olympus Camedia C-460 from Curry's, I paid about £170 for it. I was very cheeky and said "what do I get if I buy it from here" they asked me what did I mean and told them "I wanted a bigger memory card free" after a bit of haggling I got the 512 meg card for a £10, They was selling them for £30. If you don't ask you will never know, I got a pc for a friend from Comet about 2 years ago and got them a printer free :) I got home and the first thing i found as with a lot of cameras etc was no batteries. Why or why do they just not put the price up by £10 and add the rechargeable packs? Lets get on with it....The box is nice and has loads of information on it. Covers the specifications of the camera etc. Open the box and oh look a little bit...

Olympus CAMEDIA C 50

Advantages: Easy to use, compact, durable
Disadvantages: You have to close the shutter to view pictures

...in one pictures resizing pictures creating black & white or sepia pictures Macro The only disadvantages in my opinion are: 1. When you take a picture it displays on the LCD screen for about 3 seconds, if you then want to view it again you need to close the front cover. 2. The camera didn't come with a very extensive manual - all the instructions were contained on a disc and was pretty chunky to print out - not ideal when you are just starting out and need to keep referring to it. 3. If your battery does run out on you, you can not put normal batteries in - unless you buy a spare battery you'll have to wait for a recharge. Look no further - this is definitely the camera for you!!!!...

...I will write this opinion now before I loose it or break it or do something that typically happens when things are in my care! The C-1 Zoom is perhaps aimed more at the domestic or family user who will buy it to 'snap' pictures for the photo album rather than the those who will want a digital camera for presentation, professional or ultra high resolution images. Firstly the C-1 Zoom comes in a very small box and you certainly don’t get many extras. The packaging includes the camera itself, a usb lead for connection to your PC or Mac, a video lead, 8Mb Smart media card and a non-rechargeable battery which I was not impressed with! Also included is the Cmedia Suite Software CD and a Olympus driver and reference CD along with a comprehensive manual in quite a few languages. I will mention this battery again as I was...

...I received this as a Christmas present in 2003. My dad is a keen photographer and recommended Olympus as a good make when I was on the lookout for a digital camera. It was priced at around £180 depending on where you bought it, which was about average for a non-professional digital camera at the time. It's easy to just plug it into your PC with the special USB wire, though I would recommend a card reader because plugging the camera in for too long drains battery supply as it doesn't run straight from the computer. Get recharable batteries, for your purse and for the enviroment! I got the Olympus recharger with the camera. I don't know whether this only came with my camera as an extra gift or if it comes with the camera anyway. The slots for the memory card and batteries are brilliant because in a few seconds you can change batteries or change card, not like with some cameras which have covers which are hard to open, these open with ease, there is no need to force anything. Overall Look & Design Ok, this camera isnt as sleek and refined as other cheap cameras on the market, but style is not...

...Back in early 2005 I was looking for a good digital camera with as much 'real' optical zoom as possible (rather than just digital zoom). I didn't have the funds for a DSLR so I went down the compact digital route. After a lot of web searches and price comparisons I chose the C725. Overall, I like the camera and it has served me fairly well over the past 3 years. Plus points: It has a good feel in the hand and the weight isn't excessive. I think it looks smart too. The majority of the controls become second nature and once you have set up your custom settings, it doesn't need much altering. I have taken some lovely photos with this camera. The lens is pretty nice for its size. 8x optical zoom is still a notable feature to this day on a camera of this class. The super HQ is nice, fine pixel quality and correctly exposed shots...

...I have had the Olympus C-765 camera for just over a year. I find it very easy to use with a good amount of features. This model has the ultra zoom and also a digital zoom. I travel alot and this camera takes some amazing quality pictures. I find it useful for taking pictures of wildlife, as you can zoom in from quite a distance and get superb quality in the picture. This camera has 10 x zoom and 40 x Seamless zoom. It is a 4 megapixel camera. The whole camera package, which included the camera, camera case, 2 batteries, batery charger, instruction manual, mini tripod coz me £170 but this was 1 year ago so I should think the price may have come down a bit since then. You can view all your pictures on a small screen on the back of the camera which is useful while you are away on holiday as you can scan through your photos...

Olympus C4040Z - Don't leave home without one

.... The menus are a different format from the C2000Z and C202Z - but easy to get used to. The extra resolution capability is not the main reason I went for the camera. The key extra facilities over the 2020 are: USB connection, extra light gathering capacity from the F1.8 lens, and the short video with sound. The removable lens cap now has a tether loop standard. The camera comes with a 16Mb SmartMedia Card. The Olympus case is still an extra but you're better off anyway with a decent padded case. A feature I now use often is the ability to attach a short (4 second) voice note to a picture. This is now programmed onto the third button. Just take the picture, then speak for 4 seconds ? it's amazing what you can say in 4 seconds. This feature is great when reviewing photos later ? the sound file is a wav file with the same name as the photo...
