...I will write this opinion now before I loose it or break it or do something that typically happens when things are in my care! The C-1 Zoom is perhaps aimed more at the domestic or family user who will buy it to 'snap' pictures for the photo album rather than the those who will want a digital camera for presentation, professional or ultra high resolution images. Firstly the C-1 Zoom comes in a very small box and you certainly don’t get many extras. The packaging includes the camera itself, a usb lead for connection to your PC or Mac, a video lead, 8Mb Smart media card and a non-rechargeable battery which I was not impressed with! The Olympus u[MJU:] 400 Digital Camera.

Advantages: Compact, Lightweight, Stylish and 4.0 megapixels means you can print up to A3, still with a high quality printout.
Disadvantages: No protective case included and the larger xD-Picture Cards are highly priced.

For example, there was a list of megapixels, then next to it; it told you how large you could print up to with each amount of pixels, which would still be of a high quality. I had a good look at the list and decided that I may want to print my images up to A3. I therefore needed a 4.0 megapixel or higher Digital Camera. I liked the look of it as, it was compact and in a tough, hard looking metal case, which meant if I dropped it, it wouldn't break easily. Olympus 410 digital

Advantages: Compact and easy to use

...I received my Olympus as a christmas present since when it has been used often and I am having great fun with it. I found the basic instructions easy and quick to follow and experimenting from there on produced some fun results. This is my first digital camera and I would say it is an excellent starting digital camera with regards to how easy it is to use. It is also a wonderfully small size and therefore easy to carry around but not so small that it is difficult to press different specific buttons as can be the case with some cameras. The camera also comes with equipment to enable you to upload pictures quickly and easily onto your computer. As a result of this I now have a beautiful picture of a pink orchid as my screen saver which I took whilst on holiday in Venezuela. This also means that you can quickly free up space for new photos...

olympus, .... king of cameras!

Advantages: slimline, compact, quality!
Disadvantages: no viewfinder....thats about it!

...I actually bought the blue coloured mju 700, purely for the fact that i just really love the colour. you'll find that the mju 700 is available in silver, orange and blue. from what i've found searching around for the best deal, the blue is the most expensive, then the orange, then the silver (which is the cheaper of all three colours: available for about £163.89). even so, i bought this camera for £173.90 (from amazon.co.uk), and am absolutely delighted with it. i only ever buy olympus digital cameras (as i would a manual camera). it's a brand that i've used for many years that i trust and have had continuous quality results from. when i opened the box, i couldn't believe how light and slimline this camera was.....honestly, its sooooo diddy! everything was neatly concealed in this small blue olympus box (see list below of contents...

Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, sexy looks, simple to use
Disadvantages: out of date in camera menu.

...Have owned the 700 for 6 months now and am overall very impressed. Its got all the features you need for a fun camera. 23 different "scenes" of which i only use 3 or 4 are very useful, meaning you dont have to fiddle around with different settings. Just choose the scene you are in, for instance 'nightime' and click away. The video function works well as well and as a budding golfer i have used the camera to take videos of my swing analysing it on the Olympus Master program on my laptop. The design is slick and sexy, the front panel is curved which i think is just for aesthetic reasons, but it feels nice in your palm and the weight of the camera has to be one of its main advantages. Olympus Mu600 Snaps With The Big Boys!

Advantages: Strong, Tough, Good Shots and Awesome Design
Disadvantages: Slow Autofocus/Shutter Speed, Wont survive being buried on a beach too well.

...important as digital zoom is as useful as a chocolate teapot without a tripod and awesome processor built in, not enough to take close ups of surfers from the beach or your neighbours but good enough to pick a face out of a group or at least cut out some rubbish from the shot. Small enough to slide into a bag or pocket without poking out or getting caught on things, it is also tough enough to be dropped again and again from a skateboard at speed or in nightclubs. The screen and buttons are nice and easy to use and as with most cameras these days very intuative to figure out how to use. Large enough to see in all light but also covered with a solid protector unlike any touch sensitive screens which often end up dead after being chewed by a puppy or bouncing on a sharp object. ...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. A poor offering from Olympus

Advantages: Takes AAA batteries and....er.....er...hmmmm.... takes AAA batteries
