The Olympus E410 is my ideal camera.

Advantages: Light weight for a dSLR; excellent image quality.
Disadvantages: Fiddly to operate while wearing mountaineering gloves!

...I've owned an Olympus E410 for a year now. When I got it I was very impressed with the compact size, light weight and capabilities. I found it easy to use, straight out of the box, for taking basic shots. Sometimes I got stuck in the menus when trying to do something different, and had to refer to the printed guide book, finding it easy to find the relevant information. Later, I sat down down and read through the manual with the camera in hand, soon getting to grips with all the features I wanted to use. Connecting the camera to my laptop via the bundled Olympus Master software, I was pleased to see the greatly improved clarity of enlargements over ones from my already good Olympus compact digital camera. Olympus EVOLT E-410. A little SLR for a little price

Advantages: Small, Light, Inexpensive, Easy menus and options
Disadvantages: Manual/Auto focus switching is awkward and can not accommodate macro rings

Olympus E410 at their best, as usual

Advantages: weight, all the cables you need, battery life, lenses quality
Disadvantages: editing software needs to be purchased

...want to do with them. If is just for small screen TV?s or your laptop/desktop and you don?t want to spend a little fortune on editing software, keep on Jpeg format and SHQ will make wonders. If by the other hand, you are like me a photomaniac you want the best from your E-410 and you will go for the RAW format. The software that comes with the camera is reasonable but can?t understand why I have to pay for Olympus product. Other excellent packages are available with better quality and for the same price (i.e. ACDsee). If you decide to purchase this kind of software, make sure it recognizes ORF extension as not all of them it will. This is definitely a down side for this product. Advantages: Lightweight , fun to use , Great Picture quality , endless range of functions , well priced

...After using a compact digital cameras for a 5 years, I decided to update to a more professional slr camera for college, and while looking around, the OLYMPUS E410 certainly stood out for me. It is very light weight compared to all the other SLR's and a pleasure to use , as well as being comfortable to hold , unlike some of the more bulky SLR's. Upgrading from a compact digital camera to the E410 has been much easier , down to the "Live Function" that this camera has, so you can take shots through the LCD Screen , instead of just the view finder , which is an uncommon feature for allot of SLR cameras ,and is also very useful. It also has plenty of functions and scene's, From "Low and High Key", "to Candle scene", even settings to take pictures of documents. i feel it was a great investment and would certainly recomend this...

Excellent Case for Compatible Cameras

Advantages: Designed specially for the range, durable and has every carrying option
Disadvantages: Not for non-compatible cameras

...I bought a Canon PowerShot A560 Camera and, as one was not supplied, I needed a case to protect it when I am carrying it around. I checked the Canon website and found a chart showing that the DCC-80 soft case was the one recommended for my camera. I found the DCC-80 case listed on Amazon.com for £10.99. However, on the Amazon site, it was listed as being compatible with the A710 IS, AS700, A540, A530, A520 and A510... the A560 was not listed! However, the listing on the Canon site (in the downloadable brochure), along with the fact that I know that the A550 is the same size as the A560, made me press ahead and buy the case. Canon DCC-90 soft case... A FRAUD!

... Canon DCC-90 Soft Case - my review Canon DCC-90 is the official soft case for the Canon camera models S2, S3 and S5. There isn't really too much to say about this soft case but I'll do my best. I own a Canon digital camera S5 IS and since the size of this camera is quite weird (not as big as Reflex cameras but neither small enough to fit in common camera cases) I found very hard to find a proper case for it. What stopped me from buying the original case by Canon was it's price. As a matter of fact the cost is £14.55 at the lowest (on amazon.co.uk) while generally can be purchased around £17-25 everywhere else.
