Olympus's Latest [Mju:] and it's a SCREAMER!!

Advantages: small and light, metal body giving a sophisticated look and feel, easy to operate, weather proof
Disadvantages: the memory card is different from my previous Olympus digital camera, image quality at dimly lit environment is somewhat questionable, software supplied not up to standard

But I think the box content should be the same, as in Europe and Asia the camera is called the Mju series, but it?s known as Stylus in the U.S. I think most probably the biggest difference is that mine comes with a bilingual (English Mandarin) manual and the camera itself contains Mandarin language. Basically at a glance, the major improvement for the Mju: 410 model is its ability to record movie clip with, YES!!!, you can record the clip with sound. I have to admit before I continue any further, that I am a big fan of the Mju series, and the reason I haven?t got the 300 or 400 was because they can't record any audio with the movie clip. The Olympus u[MJU:] 400 Digital Camera.

Advantages: Compact, Lightweight, Stylish and 4.0 megapixels means you can print up to A3, still with a high quality printout.
Disadvantages: No protective case included and the larger xD-Picture Cards are highly priced.

MY MJU TOY IS A JOY!

Advantages: large viewfinder, decent battery life, user-friendly, many different modes
Disadvantages: no case provided, no memory card provided, screen prone to finger-prints

Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, sexy looks, simple to use
Disadvantages: out of date in camera menu.

...Have owned the 700 for 6 months now and am overall very impressed. Its got all the features you need for a fun camera. 23 different "scenes" of which i only use 3 or 4 are very useful, meaning you dont have to fiddle around with different settings. Just choose the scene you are in, for instance 'nightime' and click away. The video function works well as well and as a budding golfer i have used the camera to take videos of my swing analysing it on the Olympus Master program on my laptop. The design is slick and sexy, the front panel is curved which i think is just for aesthetic reasons, but it feels nice in your palm and the weight of the camera has to be one of its main advantages. Olympus MJU 770 SW

Advantages: water-proof, drop-proof, shock-proof and takes great pictures
Disadvantages: lens in top left corner so wouldn't suit those with huge hands

...I bought this about 8 weeks ago from clickto.co.uk for just over £225 including delivery, and I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived The olympus MJU 770 SW is a fabulous camera in every way, it's small, light, waterproof, drop proof, and you can stand on it if you so wish as long as you are under 100 kilograms I bought it to travel with and spent many a happy day snorkelling in hurghada recently, it takes simply stunning underwater shots and I can not recommend it highly enough the batter life is very reasonable, shot time is quick, display bright and clear in fact the only negative point would only affect those with big hands, sometimes your finger may obscure the lens as it's in the top left corner so you need to be aware of finger placement but apart from that it's a fantastic camera and I can't see me changing mine...

Olympus MJU 700 - a fantastic, versatile camera

Advantages: Wide range of settings, and very user friendly
Disadvantages: Expsoure can be a problem, also viewfinder

...I have recently switched from an earlier Olympus 3MP camera to this MJU 700, and have largely felt nothing but joy when using this camera. The body of this camera has been designed extremely well, and is sleek and stylish, not to mention being available is some stunning colours, but also is incredibly comfortable to handle. A large (2.5") LCD viewfinder means no more squinting at the image you are trying to capture, but is large, sharp and clear. The one disadvantage that comes with this large screen is that there is no manual viewfinder, so in extremely bright sunshine it is nearly impossible to view the image on the LCD screen, so it's a case of 'point, guess and shoot, and hope for the best'! The camera itself features approx 23 scene settings, including the usual potrait/self potrait/landscape/landscape and potrait/night etc etc...

olympus, .... king of cameras!

Advantages: slimline, compact, quality!
Disadvantages: no viewfinder....thats about it!

...I actually bought the blue coloured mju 700, purely for the fact that i just really love the colour. you'll find that the mju 700 is available in silver, orange and blue. from what i've found searching around for the best deal, the blue is the most expensive, then the orange, then the silver (which is the cheaper of all three colours: available for about £163.89). even so, i bought this camera for £173.90 (from amazon.co.uk), and am absolutely delighted with it. i only ever buy olympus digital cameras (as i would a manual camera). it's a brand that i've used for many years that i trust and have had continuous quality results from. when i opened the box, i couldn't believe how light and slimline this camera was.....honestly, its sooooo diddy! everything was neatly concealed in this small blue olympus box (see list below of contents...

Advantages: Size, good results - Digital!

...This is an excellent camera which I would recommend without hesitation, if it had not been superceded by the MJU410 which adds sound recording! This is a fantastic camera. It fits in a pocket and achieves fantastic results - Lord Litchfield swears by this particular model. it just slips in a pocket so easily. I have even used it for work because it is so handy. The battery life is good - I bought a spare battery and have never needed it. A 128Mb card will probably be sufficient for most needs including holidays. The build quality is fine however a plastic lug has broken off the flap you need to get the card out or connect to a computer. Fast moving action can be difficult to capture in low light where you need the flash - Shutter lag can be very annoying - I tried to capture some live dancing and it was extremely...
