My Review of the Olympus Camedia C-460 Zoom

Advantages: Easy to use if I can use it
Disadvantages: No Rechargeable Batteries

...The Olympus Camedia C-460 Zoom: My Review for the Olympus C-460 :) I got the Olympus Camedia C-460 from Curry's, I paid about £170 for it. I was very cheeky and said "what do I get if I buy it from here" they asked me what did I mean and told them "I wanted a bigger memory card free" after a bit of haggling I got the 512 meg card for a £10, They was selling them for £30. If you don't ask you will never know, I got a pc for a friend from Comet about 2 years ago and got them a printer free :) I got home and the first thing i found as with a lot of cameras etc was no batteries. Why or why do they just not put the price up by £10 and add the rechargeable packs? Lets get on with it....The box is nice and has loads of information on it. Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 460ZOOM

Olympus's Latest [Mju:] and it's a SCREAMER!!

Advantages: small and light, metal body giving a sophisticated look and feel, easy to operate, weather proof
Disadvantages: the memory card is different from my previous Olympus digital camera, image quality at dimly lit environment is somewhat questionable, software supplied not up to standard

...--INTRO ON THE MJU-- This camera is the latest from Olympus' "stylish" line of cameras and not surprisingly it's called [Mju:] 410. The previous models were the Mju300 and Mju400. In this review, I'm not going to dwell too much into the technical side, as I'm no expert myself. Hello MJU!

Advantages: Lightweight camera
Disadvantages: None yet

...to view your photographs, edit the pictures and set specific requirements such as the time and date, changing the shooting modes and using the self timer. These are described by the macro mode shaped like a rose, the flash mode shaped like a wonky arrow, the self-timer/remote control mode shaped like a clock and the shooting mode button which is circular shaped. The shutter release is large enough for clumsy hands and is easily pressed without having to push too hard. It makes a lovely clicking noise when released, just like those paparazzi photographers! Opening and closing the camera is very easy, you just slide the front cover across and the zoom function protrudes out letting you know it?s ready to start snapping. Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom

Advantages: Easy to use, fantastic picture quality
Disadvantages: Bulky to carry around

...I have had the Olympus C-765 camera for just over a year. I find it very easy to use with a good amount of features. This model has the ultra zoom and also a digital zoom. I travel alot and this camera takes some amazing quality pictures. I find it useful for taking pictures of wildlife, as you can zoom in from quite a distance and get superb quality in the picture. This camera has 10 x zoom and 40 x Seamless zoom. It is a 4 megapixel camera. The whole camera package, which included the camera, camera case, 2 batteries, batery charger, instruction manual, mini tripod coz me £170 but this was 1 year ago so I should think the price may have come down a bit since then. You can view all your pictures on a small screen on the back of the camera which is useful while you are away on holiday as you can scan through your photos...

Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 765 Ultra Zoom

Olympus µ[MJU:] 840 Great camera!

Advantages: 5X optical zoom, very good picture quality, easy to use menu
Disadvantages: Flash is not bright enough over a distance in dimly lit areas

...I recently purchased this camera and must say that I really like it. The selling point for me was that it has a 5X optical zoom, which very few compact digital cameras in this price range have. The zoom is fantastic quality. The photographs are vibrant and of very good quality. The one thing I have noticed is that the colours of the photograph shown on screen do not always match prints, but I believe this is common. I found the menu hard to master in the beginning but once you get the hang of it is easy to navigate. The flash is good and not too bright. Only downfall is that it is not bright enough if you want to take pictures afar in darker spaces. Photographs I took of my brother´s graduation, in a large dimly lit auditorium, from afar, did not come out at all, zoom or not. But, overall, a really good, light, compact camera....

Olympus mju 760

Advantages: Nice compact digital camera with added camcorder that takes lovely photos
Disadvantages: None really, it's a great little camera

...This is a wonderful little camera. I did originally have the 5 megapixel one which got broken but because I was so impressed with the model I bought the next one up. It is nice and lightweight and easily fits in your pocket. It has various scene settings, this time including underwater settings (which you need the special casing for) but can be used for non underwater photos (I personally love the undewater macro setting for taking photos of flowers), it has a sports setting which is fantastic for capturing movement without the blurriness. Very simple to navigate around and takes a wonderful photo. Has a 3x optical zoom and also has the option of an extra digital zoom. There are various settings for the ISO from 80-1600, you can change the weather setting too. Has red eye reduction, extra flash, no flash. There is also a camcorder...

MY MJU TOY IS A JOY!

Advantages: large viewfinder, decent battery life, user-friendly, many different modes
Disadvantages: no case provided, no memory card provided, screen prone to finger-prints

OLYMPUS MJU 760 CAMERA - SMALL BUT SATISFACTORY

Advantages: Weatherproof
Disadvantages: poor wide angle shots

...cards are xD cards, also there is a 18MB built in memory which is only big enough to store about 10 photos. A major plus however for this camera is the fact that it is weatherproof. I love this as it means I can still get photos no matter what the weather. It has 7 megapixels and a 3X zoom lens. The video is spot on and the sound is great. Personally I do think that this camera is very easy to use and the menu does not need a degree to understand. ***********OVERALL************* Great that it is waterproof, but it really is not good for wide angle shots or dimmly lit indoor photos. Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, sexy looks, simple to use
Disadvantages: out of date in camera menu.

...Have owned the 700 for 6 months now and am overall very impressed. Its got all the features you need for a fun camera. 23 different "scenes" of which i only use 3 or 4 are very useful, meaning you dont have to fiddle around with different settings. Just choose the scene you are in, for instance 'nightime' and click away. The video function works well as well and as a budding golfer i have used the camera to take videos of my swing analysing it on the Olympus Master program on my laptop. The design is slick and sexy, the front panel is curved which i think is just for aesthetic reasons, but it feels nice in your palm and the weight of the camera has to be one of its main advantages. Advantages: Compact, Lightweight, Stylish and 4.0 megapixels means you can print up to A3, still with a high quality printout.
Disadvantages: No protective case included and the larger xD-Picture Cards are highly priced.

For example, there was a list of megapixels, then next to it; it told you how large you could print up to with each amount of pixels, which would still be of a high quality.
