...and different files and folders. I think the addition of alphabetical buttons would cause the Olympus (or my head) to implode. The Olympus is incredibly light and is not even four inches tall which makes it great for carrying around as it fits in your bag neatly. One gripe is that it does not come with a carry case or pouch and if you're anything like me, it's not nice to have something valuable floating around in your bag at risk of getting damaged. Earphones, a USB cable, a rather hefty instruction manual and one AAA battery are included in the box. 'Conference mode' and 'dictation mode' are available to suit different circumstances, although i have found that the quality of sound is far superior on the latter. There is a facility to remove unwanted noise, although this is very much dependent on the environment you are in and i'd recommend...

Review of Olympus WS-310M 512 MB

A very disappointing product from Olympus

Advantages: very neat, easy to connect to a PC, runs for ages on a single AAA battery
Disadvantages: feels and looks cheap/nasty, fiddly controls, sound quality not the best

...messed with every setting in the 'rec' and 'play' menus I cannot get rid of a constant background 'hiss' which, given the maximum sampling rate, really should not be present. Although much more compact than my existing Sony ICD-MX20 and ICD-MS515, from a pure aural perspective WS-331M does not compare well to these other units, which each uses a proprietary compression codec as opposed to Microsoft's. Furthermore, to play WMA files on Macs you need a special free program called Flip4Mac available from here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/flip4mac.mspx So altogether I reckon that Olympus should have stuck with MP3, like Sony did for its current generation of comparable dictation machines. Great Machine!

Advantages: Quick Work-Out, Cheaper than Power Plates, Great Results
Disadvantages: Only tones your body, doesnt keep you fit.

...This machine is simply a must if you want to tone yourself up and not have the hassle of going to the gym for hours each week! I bought one of these off Ebay, and now so glad i did. Its simply an amazing piece of kit. My Personal Experience At first i thought, surely this machine cant be as good as i've been reading all over the net, people must be exagerating and just trying to sell the machine. How wrong i was.... The first time i used this, i trained at level 10 (ranges from 1-20) thinking i can take it at that level no problem, and sure enough i was ok, i did a few different positions for my legs, stomache and arms. I trained for about 10 minutes, as i wanted to see how much this would actualy do, and sales reports tell me that 10minutes of using this machine is equivelent to 1 hour at the gym. Boy oh boy did i feel it...

A poor offering from Olympus

Advantages: Takes AAA batteries and....er.....er...hmmmm.... takes AAA batteries
Disadvantages: Awful screen, not user friendly, feels cheap and nasty, made out of inferior materials etc. etc.

...i can say that this is a great machine it really works and gives you good results i wouldnt say the best but you can certainly tell after a period of time that your body has toned up, i havent got one of these myself but i would like to get one when i can afford it lets say. the vibration on this machine is not like a massage its more intense and when you stay on it for quite a while you will feel your muscles tightnen thats when you know its working. so i definatly gives this machine a thumbs up, i suggest you buy this machine if your too lazy or bored to go to the gym because you can do many exercises on this in the comfort of your own home. this is a great machine and would recommend this a good buy...
