...It's Made of People! whoops, sorry - wrong chuck Heston film! This is so dated now it's sheer brilliance. made in the 70's good old Charlton Heston and his Doc Savage chin and chest just rob Chuck in every scene. The film is so silly now it's just a case of watching it without trying to involve your brain in any way at all. Chuck dying at the end of the film I totally forgot about (I told you it contained spoilers!) all the scenes of newscasters and scientists on television stank of romero's "Dead" movies so I can see how the book this was based on inspired him. I thought this film would have been re-cut or included all the cut scenes (like the now infamous woman in crypt on the cutting room floor). ...With a low budget look & a no name cast, I'll be honest that I didn't expect much from this film. It's a rip-off of The Omega Man and thats MUCH better. An odd start where a boy sees his mother killed, its hard to know if the guy rescues him or he becomes the guy we see later. Either way that guy (Richard) is haunted by ghosts of the dead and some monsters (the infected) seem to roam the Earth. There's no back story there, it just happened. Richard seems to go about his day filled with paranoia waiting for something to jump out at him & attack. His experience with the infected after the rabbit was a bad idea, Never show your monsters in broad daylight unless it's a killer make-up job. Which this wasn't. ...After many attempts I finally got hold of The Omega Code. The reason it was so hard to obtain was because it has never been released for British viewing in PAL format, so the version I got was DVD ( American ). As I had suspected it played through my computer with no problems. Overall the film wasn’t really what I had expected, but it was quite entertaining. I find that the acting in these types of film is usually poor but in this case it was great and so made it a big plus and very enjoyable as films go. The plot unfolds very slowly but quickly gains pace as the chase begins revealing a very deceptive side to Catherine Oxenberg’s character and ending with some good special effects akin to the usual Hollywood films. The biggest let down was the poor use of the Bible Code, it could have been much more gripping...

The Dymo Omega Embosser is a great easy to use product.

Advantages: It's easy to use, comfortable to hold and a well-designed product.
Disadvantages: Correct pressure has to be applied to trigger for best outcome.

You feed the coloured strip on a reel in the back of the machine, press down the desired letters/spaces etc and hey presto you have a personalised embossed sticker. It very easy to use, and because it?s a manual label maker there are no batteries required, so you don?t have the hassle of replacing them. The sticker that is embossed is really strong and durable. Once you stick it to something it lasts an extremely long time without fading and stays stuck to it. I haven?t yet found a surface it won?t stick to. It is great tool for any business to own, no longer will there be any arguments over whose stapler it is. It?s not just for business use though. The Strand Palace Hotel

...We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too. Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly. My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern. I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower. The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close. The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated...

...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

A year has gone by and now I am totally lost without my watch! The Look. The simple description is that the watch has a silver bracelet and a blue tinted dial, and it is both reliable and attractive. For those wanting more in-depth detail I can tell you that the dial is 3.1 cm across the face and the watch is quite heavy on the wrist, although I find that weight reassuring rather than a burden.
