John Legend - Once Again - A masterclass in music

Advantages: A great easy-listening album where every song sounds a classic
Disadvantages: Could this follow on from the success of the first album?

...This is the follow up to the extremely successful album 'Get Lifted', and many people were wondering if John Legend could produce something even nearly as good as his first album. Well he's done even better. The album is full of retro music with a fresh modern beat, all embelished by his amazing vocal abililty and song-writing capabilities. The album begins with 'Save Room', the first single and it sets you up for a great album. It has a classic feel with an RnB twist, which has worked for him in the past with songs like 'Number 1' and 'I Used To Love You'. Watch - At Once!

Advantages: It's a beautiful film in all ways
Disadvantages: Short run time means some bits seem a little rushed

.... Despite the extras only being worth watching the once, if that, this is still a DVD worth having in your collection, as you'll end up watching the film over and over again. It's not a film with hidden depths; it's not a film that you need to watch multiple times to follow. But it is the kind of film that you want to keep watching, as it's just so beautiful that it's something you'll never forget. It takes the musical relationship attempted in "Music and Lyrics", but makes it look far more realistic. Combine this with the "Lost in Translation" style slow burn relationship between the two main characters and you have the ideal love story. "Once" is the best of all possible worlds. ...Once is an Irish musical released in the United Kingdom on October 19th 2007.The film was written and directed by John Carney and set in the city of Dublin. Maybe Once Again In My DVD Player

Advantages: A thoughtful epic.
Disadvantages: Doesn't compare to Leone's westerns; Overlong and a bit boring.

...I find it a lot easier to review things that I am passionate about, and this film is one of them. I really dislike it. I can easily see why people would like it, it's a true epic. The film is very long, serene, yet violent, thoughtful, but contains irrational behaviour. It doesn't attempt to glorify the villainy of the gangster; it tries to show his more emotional and sentimental side. I don't think it does it very well. It has all the ingredients of a great film; the cast, the director, the composer, history, romance, action and style. But it is not my idea of a great film. Even though Sergio Leone directs, it is the worst film of his that I have seen. I'd already seen A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, and thought they were really great. I have since seen Once Upon A Time In...

...I was struggling to find films to hire out that I wanted to watch, so when my partner pointed out the film 'Once' in Sainsburys as we did our shopping, I told him I would get it from our online rentals service. It turned up last week and we got around to watching it last night, looking forward it after reading some good write-ups about it. .../11/06 For the second time in months my darling grandaughter Courtney has been involved in yet another road accident. Yesterday whilst out with her daddy their car was hit from behind. The impact was so strong their car is now a write off but once again Courtney was kept safe and secure in this wonderful car seat. ★Update 09/02/2007 My darling granddaughter Lauren were involved in an accident today after sliding on black ice under a bridge. using this car seat yet again she was held safely and firmly in place as the car spun then skidded to a halt. The buckle released without any hitches and Lauren is just fine. I swear both my grandaughters are jinxed as they live in rural Somerset where the roads are quiet and before either came along neither parent had even the slightest knock before and I'm not taking either of them in my car ever again...
