...The Tom Tom ONE XL Europe is one of the easiest car navigation devices to use. It is mostly self explainatry but if you are unsure how to use it, the manual is very specific and very easy to understand. In my opinion the actual software that is installed on it is excellent. When driving, it is easy to follow all of the instruction that are being said by the automated voice. The one concern with this product is the very short battery life and sometimes, when it has been previously been connected to the computer to install updates, the system gets stuck and freezes. It has to be reset for it to function properly again and then it takes up to ten minutes!! There are many options that you can choose when planning your route so you drive the route that is most suitable for you. Other than the one disadvantage, it is a very good car navigation...

Brilliant device TomTom ONE XL

Advantages: easy to use, nifty features
Disadvantages: annoying voiceover

...! Other features: There are lots more features to the TomTom One XL but I'm yet to experiment with them all. I just use it for the basics, getting from A to B. But I'm sure these other features will prove very useful to others. Overall: For technology whizzs and gadget nerds, this review probably hasn't covered enough of the elements for you. But for drivers hoping to purchase one of these or use for the first time I hope I've covered enough of the basics and given you a little insight into the wondrous world of the TomTom One XL. There may well be better models out there, but this one does a fine job and I will continue to use it....

The only ONE you'll need!

Advantages: Signal strength is excellent; Price; Look; Ease of use
Disadvantages: Might be hard to operate with large fingers; can be dangerous to use whilst driving

... INTRO I do quite a lot of driving, and therefore owning a Sat Nav is an essential part of my life. I also find them helpful when out and about in places I'm visiting, so I can quickly locate a supermarket or a restaurant. After owning a fairly old TomTom for a few years, it was having some problems with charging, and instead of sending it away to get fixed etc, I decided to buy a new one altogether. I am quite loyal to TomTom's - I once bought a Binatone Sat Nav as a spare (it was cheap in a sale), which was absolutely useless and ended up being returned to the store for a refund - and find that the useless Binatone enables me to make comparisons with my new TomTom to other models. I purchased my TomTom ONE Classic from Argos for around the £130 mark, which is a good price. You can buy several Sat Nav's for a lot cheaper...

TomTom One XL. It just Exels!

Advantages: Easy to use, incredible detail
Disadvantages: None to speak of, really.

...- its much quicker that way. So what about the unit? Its small and light with a nice clear wide-screen display. The included suction-cup mount works just fine on the windscreen. The cigar lighter carger keeps the battery topped up nicely in use, too. I found that configuring the unit to display the speed/direction/distance to next junction etc. information as a vertical column on the right of the screen gave a large, square area for the actual map to be displayed on. The touch screen interface is superb. The icon driven menu system is a breeze and the depth of included information is just astounding. (At one point we were driving through a ski hill car park and the unit actually gave us a map of the tracks through the carpark. Versatile Road Cat - Tomtom XL Europe.

Advantages: fast, upgradeable, reliable, robust, costumisable, portable and much more
Disadvantages: confuses speeds at times, battery power loss while switched off

...I don't know what the experience with this product has been for others, but I certainly have my views. I feel this product is of very good value for money and most of the time does get you where you need to be, the only reason why I am only giving 4 stars instead of five is to the fact that it has for me a few niggly bits....It may be only mine it may be faulty but I believe that not to be the case I feel this is probably a problem for all, however just commonly ignored due to the usefulness of this device. I purchased mine about 4 to 5 months ago, came home installed the software and away I was getting all the updates (permitted ones) and ready to go. I even went on a few trips just to test the little devil, I was over the moon. Good and easy to use extra large screen voice command and customizable that was exactly as I had dreamed...

Tom Tom ONE XL

Advantages: Large Screen, Easy to navigate menu, great GUI, nice layout, array of features.
Disadvantages: Battery Life.

...lowering the volume, dulling the screen etc but this item will be used in a car more often than not so you just plug in the AC car adapter which is included in the box and it charges from there. There are numerous voice profiles to choose from like \"UK Jane\" and american accents. You navigate to a destination by simpy touching the screen and selecting the \"navigate to\" option then you can input the city, street address, or postcode. The tom tom ONE XL then calculates the quickest route for you giving you a summary of the journey in miles, time taken etc. Also this unit has speed camera alerts and POI (points of interest) which include petrol stations etc. Hope this review is as useful to you as the Tom Tom ONE XL has been to me......

Effexor XL My Opinion

Advantages: Helps change my outlook positively
Disadvantages: Might have to take it forever

...I am on Efexxor XL for a depressive illness I have had for over 5 years. Effexor XL has helped to change my life as well as other contributing factors, but without it I would probably be in hospital. I am on a dose of 225mg which is a very high dose of the medication and the usual dose is 1 75mg tablet once a day. I have tried to take myself off this medication and I really would not recommend this at all. No matter what your circumstances are you must always consult a GP before you come off this medictation or any medication for that matter. I decided that I was better and thinking so I thought I would gradually lower the dose so I cut it down to 150mg a day without any advise. After a few days I found myself sinking into that hole again and after a month I finally told my Nurse what I had done. She immediately told me to...

...I brought this as a gift for my mother last christmas as she doesn't often drive to far and, like me, is slightly geographically challenged Purchase and Price --------------------------- I brought the tom tom from Tesco, at the time I had a voucher for £50 off voucher which made it only £99 in price, very reasonable I feel for a sat nav. I did have quite a few problems with the ordering and collection of item, but thats a whole other Tesco review! The XL One comes in a pack with a small black pouch case, which is fastened by velcro, a mains charger, an in car charge (to be plugged into the lighter switch in the car) and the holder/stand that suctions the Sat Nav to the wind screen.
