Many people have ideas in their heads that internet shopping is not safe. There is more chance of credit/debit card fraud by shopping over the phone or using mail order. ...Guess what, yes as the title suggests this is more a general comment on online shopping, with a little bit about my experiences with Amazon. Sorry to put it here but it was the best section I could find! Everyone knows that shopping for Christmas presents is a pain in the bum, especially if you have family members like mine who do not tell you what they want! ...I've been a big fan of online shopping for a long time now. I have bought many books, CD's, software and hardware online. Last year I branched out further and bought most of my Christmas presents online. I hate schlepping round an overcrowded shopping center, especially when it is full of out of control children as so often seems to be the case. Online shopping frees me from this nightmare and I also find bargains galore to be had. ~~~ Delivery Checks ~~~ Before buying things online I do check which postal carrier is used. One of the biggest hassles with online shopping can be receiving your goods as if you are working all day then you can't take the delivery.
