Reviews of only fools
Is it the best
Review of BBC - Only Fools And Horses by
Natalie27
Advantages: easy watching, full of laughs, loveable characters
Disadvantages: none
..."Is it the best?" he said.
He reclined in the seat and contemplated his comments. My husband is an avid TV and Film Buff. He also fancies himself as a bit of a screenwriter. Out of interest I enquired as to what he was referring.
Did he think that Mother Nature's son was the best ever Only Fools and Horses, or was his comment related to the series as a whole, compared to other comedy's?
When asked to contemplate this question he concluded that Only Fools and Horses was the best comedy of all time, highlighting an upbeat spirit which the British would always enjoy, with the attitude to strive for more. He also concluded that Mother Natures son was the best ever Only Fools and Horses episode.
Mother Natures Son follows Del Boy & Rodney on another of their 'money making schemes'. They manage to convince a local entrepeneur...

Fools in Shakespeare
Review of Essays by
ecko
Advantages: I have posted this essay to help anyone either studying Shakespeare or needing examples of critical literary essays.
Disadvantages: If you don't enjoy Shakespeare then this is irrelevant, but perhaps one read may persuade you to delve into his plays more often.
...the multiple elements of Feste's role. He uses his awareness to reveal a lack of it in others, exposing their inconstancy and the theme of who might be the 'real fool' in this play. He demonstrates an acute understanding and judgement of character that is presented as being superior to any other individual in 'Twelfth Night'. He describes himself as a 'corrupter of words', and it is this wit and wordplay that enables him to expose the real fools and his own significance to the play. His intelligence is unmatched in the play, but is not without its downsides. His understanding and objectivity mean he is an outsider who is not capable of love as he is the only one not absorbed in it. He knows the maddening affects that love can have as he reveals these weaknesses in other individuals. He is surrounded by an air of pathos that is evoked in the reader...

Simply the greatest comedy series ever
Review of BBC - Only Fools And Horses by
richiev10
Advantages: Endless Laughs!!!
Disadvantages: They stopped making them!!!
...From the very first time I ever saw an episode I have been constantly hooked. With great scripts, catchphrases and acting, Only Fools and Horses has captivated the imagination of millions.
This was shown over the Christmas period when a new episode was released and 34 million poeple tuned in!
Del-Boy is the most unforgettable character of British television creating great moments such as the 'falling incident' in the bar with Trigger: 'Nice and Easy son, know what I mean'
Just brilliant.
David Jason (Del Boy) and Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) , are in my opinion, the main reason behind the success of this magnificent series. They are true greats of the British screen and surely someday must be in for a call for MBE'S.
As a result of viewing Only fools and Horses on national television, i now have a vats video collection including special...

Timeless Classic
Review of BBC1 - Only Fools and Horses by
CarryOnBecky
Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: None
...What can i say 'Only Fools and Horse' will always be funny with the fine performances from Nicolas Lyndhurst and David Jason. The loverble brothers and their rickerty old van. And of course Grandad and Uncle Albert
Del boys a memorable character with his dodgy deals and gold jewelery while smoking his cigars. Where as you has skinny young Rodney who comes across as a bit dippy but who looks up to his big brother and his deals. And constantly putting up with Uncle Alberts tales of "When i was in the Navy"... A top British comedy that will always be good....

The best bulletin boards because
Review of fool.com (Motley Fool) by
o.kosling
Advantages: The best bulletin boards
Disadvantages: No bulletin boards for very small companies
...this helpful. The iii boards also have a system, but there, users give ticks for what they like and red crosses for what they don't like. I don't like that system, because the red crosses cause bad feeling (which seldom occurs on Motley Fool) and the system is abused by people giving red crosses for posts they disagree with (bullish v bearish) instead of for waste-of-time posts as intended.
The only thing I want from bulletin boards but can't get at Motley Fool is coverage of very small companies. There is a lower limit on company size to open a discussion board. So for very small companies, I generally go to iii. That's how I'm so conscious of the differences, why I prefer Motley Fool!
Other comments on the site:
The share price quotes: many financial sites have a quotes feature, but the good thing about the Motley Fool version is that below...

Don't go down to the basement alone
Review of The People Under The Stairs DVD by
lizi_star147
Advantages: Makes you jump
Disadvantages: Some scenes look fake.
..., for a cut of the profit.
Selling cookies Fool goes to the landlords house to look for security, and reports back that it is pretty low key.
Leroy's friend, Spenser, who is with them, decides to go in, as a gas man. As Fool and Leroy wait outside in a van they see the landlord leave the house, with no sign of Spenser. Convinced that Spenser is taking the coins for himself Leroy, along with Fool, break into the house to claim their share. Only it isn't as easy as they thought.
Finally after getting through the steel door and past 'Prince,' Leroy leaves Fool downstairs as he goes to find Spenser. Cue real horror movie moment, the basement. Looking through the flap in the door Fool sees Spenser's clipboard. So he goes to investigate.
Alice, the landlords 'daughter' never hears, speaks or sees any evil she, unlike her 'brothers,' can behave. Until...

craig-atkinson-uk
Advantages: famous sitcom history
Disadvantages: non as far as im concerned
...I have a collection of al the only fools and horses box sets and over the years as I've collected them i never had one regret about a purchase I've made, and with confidence i can say I'm going to be a proud owner of them for many years to come as they keep entertaining how ever many times they are viewed
Only fools and horses started when 1 man (john Sullivan) put forward his idea about a sitcom to the bbc in the summer of 1981, the bbc ran it as a trail show but didn't want to make anymore than the 6 episodes he had written but years after it became a hugh success and for many years it still will be imagine the world without only fools and horses its like air without oxygen?
In series 2 we see rodney dating a police officer much to del-boys disappointment, but rodney gets his comeuppance when the police women recognises certain...

You plonker
Review of BBC - Only Fools And Horses by
Laura_lu_uk
Advantages: REALLY FUNNY!
Disadvantages: Production of this series and programme completely and utterly finished - i.e. made no longer..
...Who doesn't enjoy a good episode of Only Fools and Horses? I don't know anyone that can give it a bad review in the long run of things. Its classic. Its hilariously funny and you never do get tired of Del boy's scam schemes do you?
Rodney and Albert who are always fooled into thinking that Del is doing the best for them when he infact, is obviously only out for himself (moneywise at least), he does show compassion though doesn't he?
With later years giving them both ways of escaping the flat (through having wives, i.e. getting married). This spoilt things in a way although Del does not seem to get the idea that he may have to give up his greedy and foolish ways.
Nevermind. It is brilliant. It is a classic. Let it remain forever on television. WHERE IT BELONGS!...

Only Fools And Horses, Lovley Jubbly
Review of BBC1 - Only Fools and Horses by
robanderton
Advantages: Timeless Comedy, Great Actors, Extremly Funny!!!
Disadvantages: Could leave u in stiches after the dose of comedy
...Only Fools and Horses now thats a classic comedy tv show, Del Boy, Rodney(the plonker), Uncle Albert, Grandad, the list if great comedians is endless where this show is concerned!!!
This piece of hilarious art is a masterpiece in it's own right, through the many years of classic comedy it's managed to keep the public happy and they just seem to keep watching it!!! All of the episodes have been repeated 2 or 3 times each and just a couple of months ago this great tv show came to an end but it's memory lives on!!! The books, videos, and all the other merchandise are still selling in the shops. Will this excellently put together show never stop being one of the most watched tv shows of this time?
David Jason has moved on now though and is doing a police/detecative show called a touch of frost, but it doesn't match up to his days diving...
