Opi Nail Varnish (Atomic Orange)

Advantages: Bold colour,only needs one coat,easy to apply
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, hard to find in shops

...I decided to buy this nail varnish after having a disaster on holiday where I dropped my full bottle of Jessica coral nail varnish on the villa floor spilling the entire contents over my leg and the floor! : ( I liked the Jessica colour but I wanted something more orange?after searching the whole Jessica range and not finding anything I tried the Opi nail varnishes and found the 'Atomic Orange' colour, which looked bright orange! I wouldn't have had the next idea about where to find Opi nail varnishes, other than beauty salons which was where I had first noticed the brand. So rather than buying off the official site I tried ebay and found the right colour on there for £6 inc postage, which seemed a lot cheaper that anywhere else. Packaging I was a bit worried whether it would be the same colour it looked on the internet...

OPI Nail Lacquer

Advantages: Great choice of colours
Disadvantages: Not sold in many shops

...I had heard lots of recommendations for OPI Nail Lacquers, so when I noticed that my local Boots sold them (by the instore nail bar), and that they were reduced to half price (I got them for £4 each, which was a great deal!), I grabbed a load of them! I should point out that they were reduced because the nail bar was closing down and they wanted to get rid of some stock. OPI have most amazing range of colours to choose from - it took me a long time to pick out the ones I chose. I only wanted a couple, but I couldn't decide between all the gorgeous colours, and as they were on offer I thought I'd treat myself to a few more! OPI for Nail Biters, it works!

Advantages: Strengthens & nourishs nails.
Disadvantages: Could do with a wider brush

...As a confirmed nail biter for the last 36 years, i finally decided to do something about my knarled stumps. After watching a QVC presentation on this product range, i bought first of all the OPI cuticle oil & nail replenisher, just put a few drops on each nail and massage in. I did this every time i would normally bite my nails, and hey presto my nails started to look healthy with less ridges, my cuticles were healthy and not ragged. As i had been biting my nails for so long they were very soft and brittle, so i then went for the OPI nail envy product. Just apply 2 coats on the first day and one coat on every 2nd day after that for one week. You can use it as a base coat for your normal polish (which i do frequently) and then apply the subsequent applications as normal. It comes in Matt or gloss, i went for matt as i thought i could...

OPI Nail Envy - will power in a bottle!

Advantages: Fantastic results - does exactly what it says on the bottle!
Disadvantages: Tends to go "gloopy" before you finish the bottle

...I don't know about you but it is not just the will power that you need to stop bitting your nails but also REALLY quick results. If this sounds like you then Nail Envy is a fab investment. It comes in lots of different types but my favorite is the original. It is a clear varnish that leaves your nails with a great shine. There are directions for use included in the box but in a nut shell you paint the stuff on your nails everyday for about 7 days. After that you remove with nail varnish remover and start again. The difference with OPI to other types of nail strengthener is that it really does work. The results are great and your nails seem to grow really quick. Advantages: using the product only takes a matter of days before noticing an improvement on natural nails
Disadvantages: will have to use product a few months to see maximum results on ridged or peeling nails which have to grow out

ORIGINAL-good if you have a multitude of problems with your nails or are not quite sure which one to use. MATTE-same ingredients as the original but better for people in a proffesion that means they cant wear varnish,it has a glossy sheen to it when applied but dries matte. DRY AND SENSITIVE-this one is best used alongside opi avoplex nail and cuticle oil for best results on dry and ridged nails. PEELING-for anyone who has flaking or peeling nails but this will take longer to see a difference as the flakes have to grow out...

...why I bought it I first got a mini bottle of this from my mum. And i feel in love with it because it doesn't hurt your cuticles. Because I bite my nails andnail beds i often have cut on my cuticles and i find with normal nail polish removers it really painful. What it looks like It comes in a clearish bottle with a black cap. The actual liquid is a redish colour. how to use take the cap off and tip a bit on to a cotton wool pad or *OPI lint free wipes then hold it onto the nail for about 3 seconds and wipe off, do it again if needed. acetone free this product is acetone free unlike most nail polish removers this is better because acetone is a chemical that when you use it on your nail not only does it strip the nail varnish off it also strips your nail. So this may make it weak and also sting the cuticle and nail beds...

...OPI has made yet another brilliant product. This one works as well as nail envy does. This is called Avoplex Nail and cuticle replenishing oil and it certainly does that. I have never actually bought this but my mum buys it and i nick it and use it (i do put it back though!) What does it look like? It comes in a clear glass bottle with a white brush/handle/lid and its easy to grip to unscrew it. The oil itself is a pale yellowish colour like the same colour as olive oil. How to use it Unscrew the lid and paint on the oil around the bottom of your cuticle and on the nail beds. leave to soak in. The beauty of this is that you can do things while its soaking in because its really that runny so it doesn't run down your fingers. After about 5 minutes massage any little bits into the cuticle.
