Disadvantages: The equipment isn't as hi tech as other places

...So after having an eye test at D&A and being scared off by the prices, I booked myself into Optical Express which is where Andrew gets his contacts from. The price of the eyetest was half the price of D&A (£15) to start with and if you purchased glasses afterwards then it would automatically be free. The eye test didn?t seem as hi-tech or extensive as D&A and nor did the equipment seem as up-to-date but the optician was friendly, made conversation and was just a genuinely nice guy and whats more important, the test results came back the same as they did at D&A; I need glasses and I have a stigmatism. The staff here are absolutely amazing and I can?t praise them highly enough. They were not only friendly and personal but they also couldn?t do enough to please me. ...Optical Express services, staff and admin. I have worn glasses and contacts for the past 18 years and I have been with many independent and high street stores. I recently moved to Stockport and decided to give Optical Express a try. The first impressions of the store were good. It is very clean and well lit with a good selection of glasses, cleaners and eye care products. The other eye care options such as laser surgery and regular check up reminders are clearly visible around the store. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. The advice offered and help given when choosing my new contact lenses - when I switched from daily torics to monthly (one soft, one toric) - was spot on and my eyes are comfier and vision improved. The direct debit scheme is very helpful - I paid a £45 initial cost...

Official Wii Component Video Cable

Advantages: Far better picture than standard composite, better looking games

Wii component cable- Well worth the money

Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle.
Disadvantages: quite expensive for a simple console improvement

...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii. Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle. With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined. The Smoothness and Speed of the mouse This mouse is primarily built around a USB cable, but in the packaging there is an adapter to plug it into your PS/2 port on your PC, some older computers don?t have a USB port so this is good for older computers. This mouse although is not the most precise, it still captures 6,000 frames per second, which is quite high, but to be honest you cant really tell because it still isn?t very smooth. I would advise you to look at your monitors refresh rate, and make sure that you are not too close to the rate of USB (125 Hz). If you are not then you can use the USB, but I would highly recommend that you use the PS/2 port for this mouse, this although still not very smooth is still better than a USB. He had the Lasek procedure carried out, which left him with dry eyes for a couple of months but almost perfect vision. The GAMEware component cable spices up the Wii's HD graphics.

Advantages: Improves the graphical quality of games, Cheaper than the official cable.
Disadvantages: I suppose some people will unfairly compare the Wii and the 360/PS3 graphics and be disappointed?
