They do specialize a little in gaming mouse's for laptops however this mouse could really just be used for anything. Because this mouse is a cool white colour, it doesn't only look modern but it could also go very well with a mac computer if you have one as it would be a lot cheaper and id say better then a mac mouse is. If you don't however this still goes into your laptop and your computer with no trouble and looks pretty cool too. The mouse feels smooth to the touch and it also quite small and fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. Its east to move around and it very precise too. My Minnie Mouse - Belkin miniscroller Rechargeable Optical Mouse

I think ii only paid about £8 for it on sale in a bargain shop so I felt it was worth a try.   AN EXCELLENT OPTICAL MOUSE

Advantages: Great response, no ball to get dirty, wheel is invaluable
Disadvantages: A bit on the pricey side

Then when you move the mouse back and forth, the ball moves too, and this is picked up by rollers that are in contact with the ball inside the mouse mechanism. There are two problems with this ? firstly the mouse relies on moving parts. The rollers and springs inside the plastic case don?t last forever, leading to rubbish performance from the mouse. The second problem is dust and dirt. It?s amazing how quickly it builds up inside the cavity where the mouse ball sits in normal operation, and unless you clean it out very regally, the pointer will not move evenly across the screen as you use the mouse. So, Microsoft being the innovative and creative (ha!) people that they are, they have come up with the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, available almost everywhere for about 25 quid. OK, lets looks...

...In the beginning of my review I must say that don't agree with previous opinion. Not sure that this person really had this mouse. I have read some negative reviews of this product, but personally I really like it. Mouse itself Just have a look at it. It's beautiful, nicely designed and stylish I would say. As name says it is optical mouse which uses a string of laser (red in this example) to move cursor around the screen. This type is much easier in maintenance. You won't have to remove cover to clean ball and other parts from everything what was on a table. Thanks this technology moving cursor is much more smooth and precise. Is very helpful when gaming or using complicated applications like in my example 3ds max. Programmable buttons help when using many applications in the same time. Advantages: Smooth, easy to use, scroll wheel, ergonomic friendly, USB connection as well as optional PS/2 conection, which is included.
Disadvantages: Pointer moves on its own when not in use which is strange, cable is too small.

When I first used it, it felt weird using the optical mouse instead of the wheel mouse because of how smooth it is and that I got used to the wheel under the mouse I used to use. When I used it, I felt that it is the best mouse that I had. Not only that you do not need to clean the insides no more, but the responsiveness and the durability lasts a lot more than the wheel mouse....in fact, miles ahead of it. The look matches my Emachines 420 machine, which is silver so I was impressed with the colour I got with it. The colours available are black and silver and silver and black. The colours are swapped around before you ask why I said the same. The ease of using the mouse was better than the wheel mouse. It is now easier to move...

...I bought this Targus Mini Optical Retractable Mouse Mouse as I was sick of fiddling about with my laptop's trackpad and/or "nipple" mouse button when trying to demo software at work, and wanted to avoid a) unplugging my mouse from the docking station, and b) filling up my bag any more than necessary... It's really small (5.0 x 1.6 x 8.3 inches, weight: 3.2 ounces) so takes up almost no space in my bag, and although it's great on a full size table/desk, it's just as easy to use in a small work space or even on a small airplane tray. The Mini Optical Mouse is "only" USB 1.1, but that allows "plug and play" connection with USB sockets on Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Macintosh OS, I believe. Just plug it in, wait a moment while Windows does its "Found New Hardware" stuff, and you're off ! No drivers to install or anything...
