Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard

...I purchased this wireless mouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money. This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly. Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type...

Great Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Combination

Advantages: Feels Really Comfortable, Good Battery Life, Mouse is Really responsive
Disadvantages: Haven't Found Any Yet!

...sit on my sofa about 2 and a half metres away from my PC and view it on my TV which is alot more comfortable than sitting at a computer desk. The battery life is quuite good too as i am still using the original batteries but then again i haven't used my PC much either! The keyboard is slim and feels reall good to type on and the mouse is responsive enough to play first person shooters with. What I have found most useful about the keyboard is the programable keys which are easy to set up with the included software. All software and drivers needed are included int the package so no need to go hunting the internet for it! Advantages: No more wires.
Disadvantages: Eats the batteries.

.... and the optical-tracking technology provides smooth cursor movement on almost all surfaces and eliminates the hassles of mouse pad and cleaning old-fashioned mouse balls. The only downside to being wireless is that it takes batteries and with this one there is no off switch on the mouse, so when not using my computer I remove the batteries..... and have noticed by doing this the batteries do last longer, around 3 weeks for me with average usage. Overall this is a nice and neat looking little mouse and I prefer this much better than my old corded one, although I still have the old one just in case I run out of batteries when I dont have any ! ...I bought this product about 3 months ago from Staples. It cost me around £20.00 when on offer. I though it was cheap, so I though I would try it. I connected the receiver to my desktop PC, put the batteries into the keyboard and mouse, and connected them. Windows XP installed the hardware automatically, and I started using it. The receiver is incredibly small, and looks quite good. The mouse and keyboard are in a uniform colour, so look good when used together. The keyboard allows me to control the volume of the PC from the keyboard, which can be useful. Also it allows me to control My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, Email and the standby mode. ...Well just got my new The Labtec Ultra-Flat Wireless Keyboard and mouse for a good price from my local Morrison's. So, what do I think of it so far? Well to be honest I am presently typing this on my old hard wired keyboard and mouse, the reason? Is that after just two days of moderate use the batteries have gone flat in the mouse and has become unusable! My last keyboard of this type had the same problem and I thought it was just a problem with the manufacturer that I chose but I now think it is a design fault in the way wireless keyboards are built and sold. I think the problem is with the way they use the laser in the mouse and this drains too much power thus flattening the batteries very soon with use. This is not good, and not only is it very expensive to use as they need the best types of power cells just to work at all...

Advantages: fast, responsive
Disadvantages: poor battery life, sometimes needs resetting

...is to acknowledge the signal from the mouse when you use it, and the other is to indicate charging status, red when battery life low. Green when ok. If you are a heavy mouse user the batteries do not last long, this is one of the mouses downfall, I would recomend buying a cheap, seperate charger and rechargeable batteries to hold in reserve. The other drawback is lock up the mouse can sometimes just freeze for no reason and you have to restart the computer again. Advantages Optical so no clogging like a standard trackerball mouse no leads which get tangled up around your workstation. Disadvantages Poor battery life Once you use this mouse you will never use an old style mouse again, its akin from going back to dial up internet after experiencing broadband ....

Wireless The Way Forward!

...I bought this keyboard and mouse bundle from comet a few months ago for just under £30! I now here it is much cheaper, but personally it was well worth the money. Let's start with the obvious many people fear of wireless anything is that it isn't as quick and responsive as wired components and that it can be interfered with. Well I will let you know now that this keyboard may as well be wired as it is no different than the one I threw in the bin the day I got this home! It never misses a letter number or an advanced key! The mouse is great and optical so will work on any surface. I find it sufficient to play games with, especially since there is no trailing wire to get caught on the monitor etc. So in this field the combo is great, in fact as if it is wired but the freedom of wireless! Next we come to reliability I guess in this...
