PS3, for you and me?
Advantages: Stylish, good games available + lots more on the way, blu ray
Disadvantages: No HD cable in the box, no rumble, limited BC
.... If you insert an audio CD or Blu Ray movie they will show up under the relevant tabs. If you have a media centre PC and configured it there is an option to search for media servers where your PS3 will display all compatible media. The last function is a handy playlist where you can save a list of all your favourite music and photos for easy access.
The Game tab is where you will go to access your games (well duh!) and manage your game data. Blu Ray games and downloaded demos will show up here with a handy preview often featuring music and images from the game you have chosen (this is similar to the PSP). Downloaded content is also removable from this tab if you no longer want it and need space on your hard drive. An option to create a virtual memory card on your hard drive for PS1 and PS2 games is present thoug the PS2 option is...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Graphics, playability, blu-ray player!
Disadvantages: None
...I have been umming and arring over which colsole to buy, the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I had heard a lot of positive things about the Xbox, and I had also heard that graphics wise and gaming wise the Xbox was slightly better than the Playstation 3. However, I eventually decided to go for the Playstation 3 for several reasons.
Firstly, and probably mainly, was because of the recent decision to cancel production of the HD-DVD format (a format which the Xbox 360 is developed to play), meaning that the Blu-Ray dvd format ( a format that the Playstation 3 is developed to play) will dominate the High Definition DVD market in the near future.
Secondly, last year, the PS3's Blu-ray DVD player was voted best High Definition DVD player on the market. A DVD player that would have set you back over £250 to buy on it's own, but by buying...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Great graphics and choice of games
Disadvantages: expensive
...I got one last year for Christmas and found it to be better than my XBox 360 in almost every area, in my opinion this truly is the best games console on the market and would recommend it to anyone who is into their gaming. The graphics are phenomenal and the range of games available is tremendous!
I find the controllers are much easier and more comfortable to use than the other consoles on the market today i.e. xbox 360s controller has no area for the hands to get a grip of and is quite frankly annoying especially when using after the playstation 3, the rechargable controller function is a tremendous help as i was always buying batteries and having the hassle of inserting them into the xbox and now i simply plug into the playstation console and the charges up no problem, i can even use the controller while its charging!
i would...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Easy to control
Disadvantages: Can't play normal dvds
...Playstation 3 is the third home video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PlayStation 3 competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game systems. It was first released on November 11, 2006, in Japan, November 17, 2006 in North America, and March 23, 2007 in Europe and Oceania.
~~~Launch~~~
November 11, 2006: This is when it had its debut in Japan(Japan always releases stuff before other countries, which is good)
November 17, 2006: this is the second place that the Playstation 3 got released, it was released in North America.
March 23, 2007 :this is the last place that the Playstation 3 got released, it was released in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand.(it took a lot of time to be released in the Europe...
PS3 slim
Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live
...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis).
Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD.
Sound-Yeah, ok...
PS3 certainly won me!
Advantages: Graphics, Sound, Free online play, Wireless controllers, Sixaxis
Disadvantages: Size, Price, Not able to play PS2 games
...be nice to have the option; and finally the price, it is generally in the range of £300, but this is literally just one payment of £300, yeah you can buy accessories, like for any console, but the online is free FOREVER, so once you've saved up your pennies, you can buy and enjoy your PS3 to its full potential.
So would I recommend this, yes, especially if your looking for online play, and even if your not, its wide vairety of features and games, is something that anyone can enjoy!...
Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)
Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only
Disadvantages: 4GB file limitation External Storage, Cant read NTFS
...on the screen. Once you have completed a word it will save it to the dictionary so you will not need to write it out again next time. I have found this very helpful as i dont have to keep typing websites as i do use the browser once in a while.
Next up is the PLAYSTATION NETWORK section this consists of Accounts Management and Playstation store. The Accounts Management will have details about you like Email, Address, Payment details, online profile. These are optional you can enter them if you wish to play online; you will need to have an internet connection for this. It will also have information about things you may have purchased from the Playstation shop so that even if you lose it from your PS3 you can download it again because the system knows you have already paid for it. You can share your account with friends so they can play your games...
To PS3 or not to PS3?
Advantages: An amazing machine, expandable, some great features
Disadvantages: Expensive (but for a reason), almost internet reliant, no browser security
...3 isn't a light console in any way. It weighs in at around 6KG as well as being pretty big (it's about 12"x10"x3" if memory serves right), but it does looks pretty cool in a retro style. Decked out in black, It has a convex top with the Playstation 3 logo on it in silver, and apart from two power lights on the front and two USB ports that's it. Like the Wii it can either be propped up on it's side (handy if you're low on space) or laid flat. At the back is your ethernet cable port and your many video output options including the HDMI port (for those of you with a HD ready TV), but make note this is my first gripe. The HDMI cable doesn't come with the PS3 (although you do get a standard video out cable) so if you're wanting everything in HD then you need to shell out an extra £13 or so for one of these.
If you took the lid off...
The Great PS3
Advantages: Graphics, Network, Blu Ray, Wireless Controllers
Disadvantages: Small Hard Drive
...The Best Console on the market. When first launched, many of us were uncomfortable about the price but when you consider it has one of the best Blu Ray players in the market built in - Its a bargin. And with Sony now having won the war with Film makers choosing Blu Ray over HD DVD this will put XBox 360 at a severe disadvantage. Graphics and sound are excellent in gaming mode and picture quality and sound stunning in Blu Ray. One of the areas I use it most for is showing slide shows. I have a Home Server with Music and Pictures stored on it. The data is then sent wirelessly around the house and of course the PS3 picks this up and you can play music or watch the slideshow, now thats clever as there are no wires. This route also stores valuable space on the PS3 hard drive as the data is on the server. This is a really impressive...
Playstation 3 Review
Advantages: Blu-Ray, Entertainment, Backward Compatibility, Sixaxis Controller, Wi-Fi, Hardware.
Disadvantages: Price, Lack of Quality Games, Untapped Potential.
...After playing Playstation 2 for years I was happy when Playstation 3 was announced to be released. However that happiness didn't last much. Why?
In my opinion the Playstation 3 (PS3) lacks not only good but also exclusive games. The console is way too expensive and it isn't compensating. Why? You have 2 other consoles that you could buy with the money you'd spend on PS3. Those are the Xbox 360 and the WII consoles.
After playing several PS3 games I've found that graphics are good but sometimes the problem isn't the console but the games that don't use PS3 full settings. One good example is Pro Evolution Soccer a football game that succeeded and achieved greatness in Playstation 2 and when the brand jumped for the 3rd generation console it didn't pay off. The graphics weren't accurate there were lots of bugs the game was slower. Anyway...
