The Orange Box (xbox 360)
Advantages: 5 fantastic games in one
Disadvantages: none so far
...This review is for the xbox 360 version of the game. I'd never played any of the Half-Life games before this one, so I only knew the titles by reputation. But what a reputation.
With 5 games included in the package, The Orange Box promises a lot but I'm pleased to say that it delivers it all...and more.
Half-Life 2 picks up where the original Half-Life left off (so I'm told) and after a little bit of a slow start, soon puts you right in the thick of the action. I guess it helps to have played Half-Life before, but the controls are simple enough and well-mapped to the xbox 360 pad so even newcomers to the series will soon feel at home.
The graphics are excellent, especially the exterior environments, with stunning water effects being one of the highlights. The sound is pretty impressive too, voices and other sounds fade when your...

The orange box PS3
Advantages: +5 games in one +Portal is great +Generally good games
Disadvantages: -Slightly over rated -Graphics aren't great -Long load times
...games but that doesn't mean that HL2 is anything awful!
Portal:
Portal really is a weird little game. its only short (3-6ish hours)but offers alot of fun! you play as a test subject for Aperture Science. You have to test out the new "portal gun". The gun's used to navigate through the levels. The gun fires two different colours, one blue and one orange, these open up "portals" when anything enters one portal it exits through the other, this includes you or other objects such as blocks, or gunshots. You can also build up speed if you continuously move through the portals and you can use this to move great distances.
Some surfaces cannot accept portals, and in some levels there are guns and other obstacles. You often have to move blocks from one area to another to place on pressure switches in order to advance and some levels really...

Half Life 2: Orange Box
Advantages: Great value, great gameplay, great replayability from Team Fortress 2.
Disadvantages: Steam is necessary to play, Portal and Episode 2 short games.
...The "Half Life 2: Orange Box" is both a brilliant package of games, and a brilliant deal. With the great advantage that it includes both previous episodes of Half Life 2, a newcomer to the series does not have to worry about purchasing the predecessors separately. However the experienced Half Life 2 player should not be concerned - not only is the package far cheaper than buying the three new games separately, if a player has either of the two old games already on their Steam account, then they will be given the games as gifts, which can then be sent cost free to anyone with an email address. This is a great way to get someone into the series who has been reluctant to buy the game!
In terms of the games themselves, the Orange Box brings three new releases: Half Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. Episode 2 is...

Advantages: Offers something for everyone, Every game is addictive, Great value for money
Disadvantages: none
...your own teams base, in another game you have to gain control of territory. So my conclusion to this review is that orange box offers a variety any player who enjoys First Person Shooters will find something here. Now let me tell you a secret, I'm not a big fan of FPS games yet this is my favourite game :) now go buy it and say goodbye to your social life....

Look inside The Orange Box...
Advantages: Astounding value for money, Half-Life 2 is superb, diverse first person gameplay
Disadvantages: Half-Life 2's graphics *slightly* dated, Team Fortress 2 - some lag from time to time
...Look inside The Orange Box...
The Orange Box is a rather ambiguous title for a game, giving very little clue as to the game's contents. If you have not heard of this game before, you might be surprised to find that it does not, to my knowledge, feature any actual orange boxes. What it does feature is an abundance of diverse quality content, spread over what is advertised as being five separate games for the normal retail price of a standard game. In fact, it is more like three and a half games, but this is more than enough to justify labelling The Orange Box the best deal in video game history. The first game is Half-Life 2, released in 2004, and widely considered one of the greatest PC games of all time. The next two titles are the follow-up expansion episodes, numbers 1 and 2, which I would group together as being the second game...

The Orange Box, 5 games, Small price, MUST BUY!
Advantages: Contains 5 superb and varying games. Affordable for it's offer.
Disadvantages: REQUIRES the program "Steam" to run.
...it's hard to start to talk about the orange box immediatly as it has so much to offer. So i'll start from the start impossible to go wrong with The Orange Box.
With your purchase of The Orange Box, you'll get Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. They're all based on the same graphics engine(the Source Engine), but all of them are completely different games, which ensures that there's something for everyone. You'll also get 2004's Half-Life 2 (which won 2004 best graphics game in the interactive acheivment awards) and 2006's Half-Life 2: Episode One, which is handy if you aren't up to speed with what Gordon Freeman's been doing over the past few years. On the PC, you'll launch each game separately. On the Xbox 360, the game boots up to a menu where you can easily select any of the five games, and quitting out...

Five great games in one
Advantages: Superb value, classic games, variety in the titles
Disadvantages: Portal and Episode One are fairly short
...The Orange Box is a compilation of five Valve games, that was released in 2007. Please be aware that I am only talking about the PC version. Back in 2007, I received this as a Christmas present and I know it was less than £20 at the time. I've found it available new today for just £12.99. This is the kind of deal any gamer should be happy to see!
The games included are Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode One, HL2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2. Half-Life 2 and HL2: Episode One were not new releases with the title. Also, the HL2 episodes are not full blown sequels, but continuations from the end of Half-Life 2. I will cover each game in this review, although they probably justify dedicated reviews!
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 was released three years earlier than the Orange Box to critical acclaim. I already owned a copy and I am guessing...

Orange network in general
Advantages: Great contracts on offer, good reception, good service
Disadvantages: Not consistent waiting times when phoning cust services - can wait a while at peak times
...I have been with the Orange network since owning my first mobile phone at the age of 16 (13 years ago) and (touch wood) I have encountered very little problems with them.
At present my partner and I have both our mobile phones and our home broadband with Orange because we believe they offer good customer service as well as cost efficient prices. The Broadband we get from them amounts to just £5.00 with unlimited downloads which is an offer they advertise should you have a phone contract with them. They also offer free internet should you have a contract with them but with limited downloads instead.
Orange offer a wide range of contracts to suit all needs. There are 3 different groups of contract offered by orange which are named Racoon, Dolphin and Panther. Should you be after inclusive text messages then a Dolphin contract would...

The futures bright... the futures orange
Advantages: Great service, great offers and great coverage
Disadvantages: slightly pricey
...I have been with orange for many years and have found them to be quite a good service provider.
I first pondered over the many different contracts that they had on offer, confusing myself in the process.
I finally opted for the pay as you go option as, at the time, I only really needed the phone for receiving calls for work and this worked out to be the cheapest option.
Over the years I have stuck with pay as you go, more because of trust and reliability than cost, simply changing my telephone and upgrading my SIM to keep up with the times.
You can simply add credit to your phone by:
A~) Pay point, found at most shops
B~) Vouchers, bought at most shops
Or C~) Cash machines, top up from your bank account.
** THE OFFERS**
Orange PAYG has different pay packages for everyone.

A Box with No End ...
Advantages: Lennard Pearce as Grandad, & Classic Episodes
Disadvantages: Not all the Best & Special Episodes, No Extras
...?
--------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------
The First Series 1 to 7 Box Set is stuffed with over 50 different episodes listed below. The great thing about this Box Set is that there is no particular order you must follow.
There is a vast range of story lines for you to follow which do not overlap with episodes. You could start in reverse order and I guarantee unlike other programmes,
you will fully understand from scene to scene without having a specific order to follow.
This will allow you and others to view episodes individually at your own choice and leisure.
Here you have an almost complete package of Classic British Comedy for both teenagers and adults.
The only thing missing is that it does not feature each & every episode ever made for BBC Television.
But the Box Set is a great introduction to those who have unfortunately not as of yet discovered 'Only Fools & Horses' as...
