...MY EXPERIENCE. Well it looks as tho lots of reviews have been done, 320 at last count. So this is obviously a popular network, and i know why as im with orange aswell. I joined orange in november 2003, i saw an offer in a paper which read "200 anytime any network minutes + 500 texts per month, for £30". I thought this sounded a good deal, the network provider i was with at the time couldnt get anywhere near this deal, and so i decided to join up. I joined using the very easy to use orange website, after filling in the online form with my details, i was told on screen that credit checks had to be done and they would email me. Two days later an email arrived saying that everything was ok, and that my phone would be despatched the next day, which it very promptly and effieciently was. Orange network in general

Advantages: Great contracts on offer, good reception, good service
Disadvantages: Not consistent waiting times when phoning cust services - can wait a while at peak times

...I have been with the Orange network since owning my first mobile phone at the age of 16 (13 years ago) and (touch wood) I have encountered very little problems with them. At present my partner and I have both our mobile phones and our home broadband with Orange because we believe they offer good customer service as well as cost efficient prices. ...I've been with Orange for almost a year now with my current contract - the Everyday 50 plan. This is the package that I'm going to give my opinion on since its the only one I have experience on. I got my mobile in the first place for two reasons - my girlfriend (if you're reading this, I love you!) and the Internet. I speak to my girlfriend every night and she has an Orange mobile herself. Now the Everyday 50 plan gives you 50 minutes of calls to a landline or Orange mobile number for 50p a day (off peak only). That meant that I could talk to my girlfriend each day for a maximum of 50p for 50 minutes. This would have cost me about £15 using a BT line. Slight different, I'm sure you'll agree. Orange Customer Service

Advantages: Good Deals
Disadvantages: BAD network to be on if your in an 12-18month contract

...After being leered into an 18month contract with a FREE PS3 I was utterly disappointed to find that not only did I continuously lose signal when roaming the UK but also, I was given 3 faulty phones by Orange themselves. This was the 1st inconvenience caused as I live an hour away from any Orange Store. I had contacted Orange customer services several times and received very little help if any! They were slow at getting back to me about my issues raised and told me on one occasion that I would have to phone the helpline up instead of sending an emailing. I was more than happy to do this but spent over an hour on the phone on hold, running up a huge bill which they never apologised for. Advantages: Great, I mean WOW great, customer service. Cheap plans.

That aside, I do think Orange is the best mobile phone provider I have ever been with, although, having said that, I have just left 3 mobile who didn't particularly 'set the bar' if you know what I mean. After a bad experience with them, I had been looking to leave contracts permanently. I had tried PAYG, however, found it was a little expensive for my usage. I then saw T mobile were advertising pay monthly SIM only tariffs at the back of my Heat magazing and decided to give them a call. Pay monthly contracts, as the name suggests, only last for a month, with a 30 day cancellation period and automatic rollover, so you are not tied into a lengthy contract. ...I have been a subscriber to Orange for well over two years now, and due to my happy times with them, I wouldn't choose any other mobile service at the moment. I use the Talk 60 tariff and pay £17.50 a month. This gets me 60 minutes of calls per month and these inclusive minutes include peak / off peak calls and calls to other Orange phones. SMS messages are 7 pence each. Other tariffs are available such as Talk 150, Talk 300 and so on. Obviously the price per month then escalates. It depends how much you will use your phone as to what Talk Plan is right for you.
