I have my email account with them which I check on a daily basis and I have registered my phone account online too which shows me all outstanding balances, outstanding minutes and text messages and all bill information needed. I like the fact that you can also have a live web chat with a customer service rep if you have a problem. This is great if you need an instant answer without having to wait for an email back or wait in a queue should you have to phone them. Orange contracts range greatly in price. The cheapest online contract is just £4.89 though obviously for this price you only get a limited amount of texts and inclusive minutes for this price. The most expensive online contract is £68.50 which includes many minutes/texts as well as internet...

Orange Customer Service

Advantages: Good Deals
Disadvantages: BAD network to be on if your in an 12-18month contract

...After being leered into an 18month contract with a FREE PS3 I was utterly disappointed to find that not only did I continuously lose signal when roaming the UK but also, I was given 3 faulty phones by Orange themselves. This was the 1st inconvenience caused as I live an hour away from any Orange Store. I had contacted Orange customer services several times and received very little help if any! They were slow at getting back to me about my issues raised and told me on one occasion that I would have to phone the helpline up instead of sending an emailing. I was more than happy to do this but spent over an hour on the phone on hold, running up a huge bill which they never apologised for. ...Well where do I start?... I've used most Uk network providers and rate Orange within the top 3. I've been with Orange pay & go for over a year now and have had some varying degrees of satisfaction with both customer services and the network as a whole. I'm currently on the same rate 24/7 tariff with bonus top up. Which is all very well and good but its not cheap. My charges are 15p a minute to land line and other Orange users, and 35p a minute to all other networks and these do not change during peak times. Bonus topup is where they credit you back with 10% of your total monthly topup. The bonus topup has a drawback as when it is added to your account it is added seperate from your actual balance and takes priority even when you have brought extras. Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: Probably not as good as Fanta...

...Kids today will probably think of Tango as a poor man's Fanta. I remember a time when it ruled supreme, with adverts of men in orange body suits going round slapping people. It was a wonderful time. But has the orange stuff stood the test of time? Can it compete with the Fanta market? It sprung up controversy recently when it's advertising slogan was "Tango With Added Tango"...nothing untowards there, but as the slogan put the words on top of one another, if you put the first letters of each of the words together then you'll see the problem...see what I mean?! Tango is simply an orange fizzy drink filled with sugar and sweeteners. on the black and orange can, it does state that 65% of people preferred Tango to other leading orange fizzy drinks in a blind taste test. Why? Well, it's a strong, sweet orange flavour - much better...

Advantages: Wide range of plans, excellent customer support, competitive prices
Disadvantages: No 'discounted' numbers

..., but Orange seem to lack this feature. However the call charges are pretty cheap and vary from price plan to price plan, but they are always pretty competitive. Their international calls are fairly inexpensive. I can call into the UK for 60p a minute which makes my phone a little less out of bounds when I go abroad too. When I was with Vodafone it cost me over twice as much to call home. Network coverage is excellent, and I've never had a network busy signal from them yet, unlike Vodafone when I got it a lot especially in built up areas. I would seriously recommend Orange to anyone who is looking for a new phone contract, but not for anyone who is looking for pay as you go....

Pocket Orange!

Advantages: lightweight , compact

...I must say that the Motoroloa 3788m phone which I bought to use on the Orange Just Talk network is an extremely compact and lightweight model indeed. I previously had a cellnet phone made by Phillips which I had great difficulty in fitting inside standard size pockets on a typical jacket. I am pleased to report there are no such problems with the Motorola Orange phone. The phone is also a lot lighter than many mobiles and very durable having been dropped on the floor several times ! So anyone looking for a compact make of phone should after my experience consider the Motorola 3788 and the price is pretty good too .It is possible to pick it up for £30 brand new....

Orange Network

Advantages: Text messaging, good coverage in the UK, good choice of phones
Disadvantages: not too hot if you pay for a year upfront

...I have been on the Orange Mobile Phone network for about 3 years now. I originally joined this particular network as the coverage with Orange in some places is much better than other networks at the time. Text messaging was an important consideration when choosing which network to sign up with too as all our family were with Orange, and at that time you couldn't text between networks like you can now. I have always found the service to be of a high standard with no major problems. Customer Services are fairly easily contacted and they are helpful in return. I paid up my contract for the year, and just have a small bill each month. This was fine up until about 6 months ago when I hit a snag. It was reported in the press and also on my Orange phone bill that users on our tarrif were to get extra free talk time minutes...
